ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/03/2009 19:13

Where is Lollipop?

All this talk of Ittis and she's not around....

Spent the day at Children's Hospital with DS. The nurses thought his pink BBH was adorable. Fortunately able to bring DS home

I will have to do one later of my pimped ride Im v.pleased with it, i got it cheap from the for sale board here and got all the snunkie & chunkle munkle stuff for £35 (would have been well over £100 new!) from the for sale board too, so what seems like a lot of ££ didn't break the bank at all

SGK i myself wouldn't use a tots overnight unless it was heavily boosted but my dd's are both heavy wetters, have you tried a hemp or bamboo booster or 2 between the nappy and wrap?

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 05/03/2009 19:53

sorry did not read all 330 posting on this thread but are the pop ins actually really arriving? Now i am thinking of pt my boy? On the issue of ittis and poo - i find them much better with a semi log as per Cyteen and we always avoid using them the day after a spag bolognese tea .

I am getting a mere 200 of the tykes delivered next week and its going to kill me resisting adding them to my boys stash in every colour available (bar fuschia and lavendar lol!) mmmmmmmmmmmm

4andnotout · 05/03/2009 20:00

Yep pop ins ahoy

I would just stay in all day and marvel at the itti gorgeousness if i had your job

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 05/03/2009 20:03

You woudl go mad! I had to select 10 of the colours to stock (there is about 14 i thnk) - it took me 3 hours to decide !!!! I still emailed and changed my order at the eleventh hour!

Oooooooooo i wonder what colour pop-in i will get from modern baby? .

mumoftoby · 05/03/2009 20:04

Oh dear - had first poo leak in a washable tonight. Out the leg of the itti - but it was a runny poo! (sorry if you are eating your dinner)

iI WANT SOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( stomps off in a sulk!)

treedelivery · 05/03/2009 20:42

Hello!
Swampster remembers me, hope some others do. Thank you for cat-ing me, it made my 6 weeks postnatal experience. Thank you.

Things aint going so well, though we have had an improvement this last week or two. I wont whine or go into full tearfull meltdown, I'll just say 'colic' and you'll hear my pain. And Harriets. There have been times I've nearly gone to A&E with her her pain has been such.

I'll lurk for a while until I get into the groove again if that's ok? No doubt the nappy talk will cheer me in no time and I'll be back wheeling and dealing and begging for nappy genius tips!!

4andnotout · 05/03/2009 20:45

tree Yay!!We had wondered where you were, sorry to hear about poor Harriets colic, i haven't ever had any experiance of it but {{hugs}} to you as i know it is horrible

mumoftoby · 05/03/2009 20:47

Hello Treedelivery - poor harriet. DS1 was awfully unsettled and then suddenly happy all the time from about 10 weeks.

swampster · 05/03/2009 20:55

Treeeeeeeee! I had just one horrible night with DS1 screaming in pain. I was afraid it was colic but it only happened once. You must be utterly fried. Someone on my antenatal thread has a mantra "It is a phase. This too will pass." I find myself muttering those words to myself quite a lot these days.

treedelivery · 05/03/2009 21:07

Thank you people!! It's just been the most shitty time. I feel the whole new born precious phase has been ruined.
On a plus note we have grown into several nappies and sandy's xs are starting to get a bit small.
My hell is nothing to what my poor in pain dd2 has put up with, and the feelings my dd1 [4] has had. She's been royally dumped and is pretty much a shell of her former self.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/03/2009 21:14

Tree Have been asking about you!!!!

Lurk away...

treedelivery · 05/03/2009 21:19

I will!! So nice to read familiar faces [eh?]

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/03/2009 21:23

treedelivery: Lovely to see you again, tho really sorry to hear that your little one has colic. I certainly know what you're going through! My first baby had it for the first 8 weeks and it was very difficult! We'd often be awake with her screaming until 2-3am - no matter how many cuddles she got, she'd still not quit screaming. Though made me feel better to know I was there for her - but sometimes it felt hard to stay alive when you have hours of screaming every night. Do hope things improve for you soon! (((hugs)))

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/03/2009 21:29

DS and I spent the day at Children's Hospital where his illness is still undiagnosed, although they took more blood from him ...

But he wasn't too ill to flirt with the nurses and they were impressed with his adorable BBH and Savannah or Asia wrap...

have put updated photos on profile

I think things are nearly normal - I think we have ridden the worst of it. I just have the trauma to deal with now, it's really hitting me now the 6 week long crisis is calming down. Thank you for kind words!

swampster · 05/03/2009 21:43

I have to confess, tree, it was ilovemydog (andMrObama) who first asked on Tuesday where you had got to.

ilove, what's up with babybama?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 05/03/2009 21:49

tree, all my simpathies... hopefully this phase won't last long

Hopefully · 05/03/2009 21:53

Tree huge sympathy. Have posted on your other thread, but I know exactly where you're coming from. At one stage DP and my mother were taking turns to hold DS in the bathroom (furthest room from my bedroom) so I could snatch a tiny bit of sleep, as he did not sleep for weeks.
