I am pining for a lime and a chocolate Itti Bitti - one day they WILL be mine!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 26/01/2009 22:43

lollipop I told you it was lush, fit for a princess! it's my favourite so far (though the others are very close seconds!) DS wants me to get the chocolate one... don't know yet, I've set myself 2 more... so I have melon, yellow, lime, jade, baby pink, and was thinking fushia and peppermint or choc, any suggestions?

mamadiva · 26/01/2009 22:51

lollipopmother · 27/01/2009 10:44

Sunflower - Well my favourites are the purple, jade, fuschia in that order. The lilac is really nice too. My least favourite are the rockmelon and peppermint. The others come in between in no particular order!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 27/01/2009 11:20

I was going to go for fushia and peppermint, but maybe I'll go for purple instead....

stacinator just arrived, thanks Nappyzone, in the washing machine as we speak (stacinator, not nappyzone that is ), hopefully ready to try tonight

Quick question, have bought a 2nd hand Lollipop Micro Nappy (fleece), do I need to use a separate wrap with it. Have checked Lollipop site but it doesn't say. Am thinking I don't but just want to be sure!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/01/2009 14:57

Yes, you definantly need a wrap over the Microfleece nappy. It's actually a fully absorbant nappy rather than one that has a waterproof outer. At least that's what the one was like that I had! Just an ordinary fitted nappy, but dries very quickly!

ceb80 · 27/01/2009 15:00

Brilliant thanks, wasn't sure if the fleece acted like a fleece wrap or not. Am going to need to write myself a manual I think so I (and dh) don't get in a muddle!

cyteen · 27/01/2009 18:16

woohoo, my fuzzi bunz have arrived, thanks nappyzone! do i need to wash them a couple of times before use?

ceb80 · 27/01/2009 19:09

I think you have to wash all nappies before use to up their absorbency but I'm sure someone more experienced will be along to confirm soon!

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 27/01/2009 19:15

a fuzzi with a microterry insert would only need washing beforehand to remove any residue from the manufacturing process in the was some people wash newborn clothes. Personally fluffy post is way to exciting and i can never wait

ceb80 · 27/01/2009 19:20

You see you learn something new every time you post!
Nappyzone Which other nappies don't need lots of washing first apart from to remove manufacturing residue?

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 27/01/2009 19:46

hemp and bamboo increases absorbancy as you wash so its best to wash first, microterry that you generally get in pocket nappies as inserts dont so pocket nappies gerneally except their hemp or bamboo inserts if you have them types of inserts. That said I still use them straight away but just accept they wont be super duper for a while. That didnt make sense did it

Isaidno · 27/01/2009 20:07

lollipop - my dalmatian wrap came today - i think it's very cute; thanks xx

cyteen · 27/01/2009 20:22

Great, thanks Nappyzone

oops, my finger slipped - one lime and one purple Itti Bitti winging their way to me

ceb80 · 27/01/2009 20:23

Kind of

Another question then... with my Fluffles, does the "tongue" bit go on top of the fleecey inner bit or underneath it?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 27/01/2009 20:34

ceb80: under the fleecy bit - it's for extra boosting (can be removed if used on a tiny baby, I think). The fleece is to keep the baby's skin feeling dry, so anything that soaks up liquid always goes under fleece.

Hope this helps! x

ceb80 · 27/01/2009 20:43

great thanks!

4andnotout · 27/01/2009 22:01

mama
I have found a terry booster, a hemp booster, and a thin cotton one, if you drop me an email, [email protected] i can post them to you

lollipopmother · 27/01/2009 22:34

Isaidno - Oh good, I'm glad you like it! I liked it too but I should never have got it in the first place so it made me like it less iyswim. Now that I have a bit more money I'm looking at the dalmation BBOS which is just ridiculous as I had the wrap and sold it!

If anyone is looking for Blueberry wraps I have a couple - Cow and chocolate with pink spots. Totally lush lush lush, love them but it's silly having them as I only have 3 nappies that need wraps and I never use them, only used the wraps a couple of times each, it's criminal.

OP posts:
lollipopmother · 27/01/2009 22:37

Sunflower - I'm very of your Stacinator already being with you, I ordered mine the same day as you I think and it isn't here yet, serves me right for not getting it from Nappyzone but I much preferred the pattern on mine, although I really love the blue snowmen one, would've got it if I could guarantee she'd still fit in it at Xmas but I have no idea how quickly babies pile on the pounds!

OP posts:
SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 27/01/2009 22:45

Lollipop it's still looking at me, the tumble dryer's stopped heating up , so had no dry nappies to put it over, luckly I had a RE dry, or it would have been a pampers...
