Oh dear bad luck. I don't have a tumbler so all my nappies take forever to dry anyway! What are you using as a night nappy now, still the RE? I've got a Night Notions pre-loved, it's amaaaazing! Just bought three brand new

Hello Nappy heads!!

Have put a mega posting on the Jan postnatal thread if you fancy a labour story. It's an epic posting for a 4 hour blooming labour.

Had a dd, name is Harriet Poppy [Poppy chosen by dd1 after nana's dead cat - nice]

Was 7lbs 12 [dd was 8lb 4 so a teeny tot] and she's been a total hooligan since birth. Is now agreeing to sleep in crib on day 5.

Currently wearing Sandy's, airflows, lollipop micro and fluff, only the itti bitti has leaked so far. Mums 89 fleece liners doing a great job, as are microfibre cloths. Love em. Have used 2 dispo's when milk came in but thats it so far.

Sadly she hates hates hates being handled, wont tolerate any playing with. So can't get modling the nappies just yet

I think I just shat myself laughing

That was EPIC!

Huge congratulations on Harriet Poopy Poppy.

treedelivery · 27/01/2009 23:56

Thank you for the link - I'm such a lazy tart. It is a big old poo post though

treedelivery · 28/01/2009 01:01

ILovemydog....your going to need your xs sandys soon, I can feel the hormones.....Ooooo how exciting!! Will post many pics of the sapling in nappy when she stops being such a mardy pants and refusing to model, so as to aid fertility surges.

Lollipop - went away from THE name Elizabeth, as it didn't suit her. Tried it for days as really wanted it but it didn't sit. Then Harriet popped into my head and she really suits it. Feel a bit about leaving Elizbeth behind though...will have to have another one and hope it's a pink one who suits Elizabeth. Have had that name for months!

lollipopmother · 28/01/2009 07:32

Tree - It's funny because I really felt you hadn't gone with Elizabeth when I said I thought I knew, very odd. Harriet Poppy is a gorgeous name, love them both. It's funny how babies can look right for their name. And it would've been seriously freaky for us both to have the same name, specially if I had another DD and called her your DD1s name like we plan!

Just read your story, I can't believe the amount of poo you did! I'm pretty certain I didn't do any! I bet the ladies still waiting to go into labour are literally shitting themselves now that they're going to crap all over the MW, well done Tree!!

And boooo for the Itti leaking, that's very crap.

tree I delivered a huge turd into the birthing pool when i had dd2 It was grim when they scooped it out with a net Harriet Poppy is a lovely name

cyteen · 28/01/2009 09:37

well done tree on such an epic poo labour story! aahhh, reading an antenatal thread where all the ladies are podding left, right and centre has made me broody

thankfully DS has just crapped his leg off for the second time morning, as well as drenching me in snotty puke, so think i'll soon be cured of that

cyteen · 28/01/2009 09:38

this morning...wake up cyteen

cyteen · 28/01/2009 10:40

Picture of DS in his first ever cloth nappy now on profile!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 28/01/2009 10:45

Morning everyone! Actually have sunshine here - it's lovely! Too cold to dry any nappies outside, but the sun coming in the windows is exciting enough for me! lol

Just put up a bundle of size 3 Tots Bots over in the classified section...just in case anyone here is looking for toddler sized nappies!

rusmum · 28/01/2009 10:46

can someone link me to trees birth story please!!!!!!

kms123 · 28/01/2009 11:36

Can i just say you ladies have me buying too many cloth nappies to try out! I use tots bots (loads), sandys (loads but find they leak more on my DS), lollipop (1) and fuzzi bunz (1). Like my 2 new pocket nappies- got for xmas present to DS!

I've just ordered a bumgenius and itti bitti to try! Don't really need at all.

While I am here- does anyone not like cotton bottoms wraps? I have 2 as needed few extra wraps and always find they wick out at front?

I've also joined the facebook page. Nappy addiction.

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 12:01

What page of that thread is tree's birth post? [being dim emoticon] I can't find it.

cyteen · 28/01/2009 12:02

i think it's on p.10

AnnVan · 28/01/2009 12:27

Thanks - I was only one page away. Impatient? Moi?

cyteen · 28/01/2009 13:06

More nappies have arrived My pink Baby Beehinds, the size 1 Flexitots which is so not going to fit DS now and a size 1 Teddy which might. Also pleased because I managed to catch our heavy-handed postman before he knocked on the door and woke DS, as he so often does

ilovemydogandMrObama · 28/01/2009 13:20

lollipop The beehind arrived this morning! Am going to try it on DS tonight and see what damage he can do! DP quite impressed with material. How much do you want for it?

Treedelivery Great story! I spent most of my labor too with DS insisting I needed a pan under bottom

Not sure whether to resist hormones. This thread, I have to say, should be classed the broody thread!

Might as well have 3 if you have 2 anyway, right

lollipopmother · 28/01/2009 14:33

ILMD I heard that the third is far easier than the 2nd edition iykwim. I think if you've already got two you're used to mass destruction so anything a third can do will be well below your radar! If you don't fancy being pg again then I'll do it for you and hand it over, I looooved being pg but totally couldn't have a 2nd yet, DD is far far to PFB.

I paid £8 for the Beehinds so would take £7, but try it out first. I like the bamboo too, it's soft I think seeing as I air-dry indoors, don't tumble, and come from a hard as nails water area. It opened my eyes to Bamboo, I can't believe how much nicer it is than hemp.

I ordered 3 brand new WNNN last night, got an email today saying 2-3 weeks!! I CAN'T WAIT THAT LOOOONG

OP posts:
lollipopmother · 28/01/2009 14:40

KMS What do you use over the Sandy's, they are seriously bomb proof so i'd tend to blame the wrap.

Oh, after waiting 3 weeks I finally received that nappy, phew! It turned out she'd done it to everyone she sold to including other boards and as a result Cloth Tots banned her.

Does anyone use Cloth Tots to sell, is it busy?

OP posts:
cyteen · 28/01/2009 15:32

well, it's official, i am a cloth convert DS seems much more comfy (no crease marks) and looks SO CUTE, i have no problem dealing with soiled cloth, love the fact that the poo gets flushed away rather than hanging around in the bin awaiting disposal...it's all good.

i look forward to the shopping exploring what works/doesn't work for us

swampster · 28/01/2009 15:33

Lollipop! how can you bear to part with a Beehinds???

lollipopmother · 28/01/2009 15:33

That's one more addict in the world then!
