swampster yes please to the blue BBH, just let me know how much with p&p

rusmum: Try Disana wool pants - can get them from Twinkle Twinkle! They're very high in the rise and have cuffs on the legs, so they'll super cover up a Bumble! Just recently bought 2 of them and love the fit of them - but need to give them about 3 treatments of lanolising (soaking overnight in solution, then drying - wearing for a bit in the day - and doing process over again) then they should be good for nights. But they're soooo soft (not scratchy at all) and are so nice & roomy. Can't wait for them to be ready to use at nights, as they look really lovely and nice to cover up all the nappy.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/02/2009 00:00

I love M's Disana's wool pull ups, and yes 3 treatments and they've lasted the night

Sunflower - Have you had any problem with wool leaking at night because M stays in the one position all night? I've not used mine yet but I'm a bit sceptical because apparently if babies stay in the same position the pressure can make the wool wick.

Rusmum - What wool did you pick, did you see my post about only certain wools being suitable??

Swampster - I can't remember how much the BBH was, I tend to just close my eyes and take deep breaths when I'm sending nappies off because it really isn't cheap and I do an all inclusive price. A BBH is going to be quite heavy though, probably £1.35 or so. I always send recorded delivery too because I can't be dealing with the hassle of people saying they haven't received it.

Oh, and I can't part with the BBOS, I hate it, they are so gorgeous especially the orange one which is just amazingly lovely and vibrant and thick, but I want to put a final bit of effort into my diet before I start BLW and reducing BFing, if I don't lose the weight before DD reduces her milk intake I don't think it'll come off. I've had sooooo much success already and hit my target a while ago so set another target, hit that, and now I'm setting one last target that is going to need some exercise to get it I think!

Hopefully - Purple and Jade are my favourites and they would both be great for a boy.

I have three brand new WeeNotions here, I've washed them four times, I wonder whether they're ready for a full night yet.

Ooh, so many recommendations! Think I'll go for royal blue as T is turning into a proper little blue eyed blondie and it will suit him.
If we're being honest, we all know I'm going to end up getting more in a few months - hoping once he's put on a bit of weight In a few months' time I can get away with a large or two, and then he can be in them for ages.

Oh, I'd also be interested in the wicking wool thing - T literally doesn't move an inch all night (unless he needs a feed!)

Eeek, I put T in a disposable last night (some left over from broken washing machine incident) as I'm stripping all the bamboozles (easier to do the whole lot so I don't have to figure out which I'm done), and everything is soaking! vest, sleepsuit, sleeping bag, bed sheet. How does anyone cope with disposales? Probably I put it on wrong, but it's completely reminded me why I love reusables.

Hopefully · 15/02/2009 07:38

Oh bugger, he's just pooing in it too. I have no idea what to do with a pooey disposable! Do I just bag it a couple of times and put it in the bin?

lollipopmother · 15/02/2009 07:52

Arrrgh Hopefully, use a disposable with a wrap over the top otherwise you end up having them swimming in wee by the end of the night!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 15/02/2009 11:36

the wool soaker I have is double layer so even if M doesn't move at night, though damp on the inside crotch area, no dampness/wicking on the outside. when she wore it during the day, before it was lanolised 3 times, then we had some wicking as she was sitting. so I think because of the position it doesn't really matter at night.

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/02/2009 12:05

HI LADIES

Sorry I have been away for soooooooooooooo long have had loads going on. How are you all?????????

Have had a sort out of nappies and have a huge amount of totsbots s2 that are too small for Zachary grrrrrrrrrr

swampster · 15/02/2009 12:11

Hi Lady, welcome home. Were you abducted by aliens?

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/02/2009 12:16

LOL Swamp nooooooo have been so stressed out with things on the home front, had crap with the landlord and had to sort it out.

Lil Man has now gone into a big boys bed as of last night he slept well and i was awake all night lol.

I am toying with the idea of potty training but when i tried a few days ago he refused to sit on the potty and poo'ed n wee'ed on the floor then went and got a nappy lol. SO maybe i shall wait a while what do you think?

swampster · 15/02/2009 12:27

Sorry to hear about the stress, sounds like you've got no need to ditch the nappies just yet.

Hopefully · 15/02/2009 12:46

Thanks sunflower. Lollipop will remember the wrap trick, although I'm praying the bamboozles will be dry by tonight. Will boost the disposable with bamboo as well if he has to go in it.

TheLadyEvenstar · 15/02/2009 13:04

I have i think 4 or 5 tots bamboozles for sale i bought them washed them and used them once, I HATED them!

If anyone is interested let me know i will take pics for you.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 15/02/2009 13:45

Swampster Lollipop is being her typcial generous, nice self. It was £2.40 for postage...

How do people get out the door with 3?

mumoftoby · 15/02/2009 14:44

Swampster Yes please £8 sounds great for the 2 posted. My e-mail is vikki_higham at yahoo dot co dot uk. If you e-mail me yours I will paypal you straight away.

I am now tempted by Jade and Turquoise ittis - just waiting for payday!

LenniEd · 15/02/2009 16:21

Thanks 4andnotout - am going to go with the mediums and might get a large to try out on DD. I can't justify changing her nappies now she's 2.2 but most of hers are girly colours so might have a clear out and buy a few boy coloured ittis to replace them.

rusmum · 15/02/2009 18:02

kady do youstill want these 2 bamboo bambineo's?? Have saved them! If not will readvertose no prob!!

Hopefully · 15/02/2009 18:47

Just sat here contemplating the night nappies I have winging their way to me (a bumhugger and a couple of baby beehinds, apparently), and wondering what interim wrap I can use until I figure out this wool thing (why are all pre loved wool wraps/longies pink?!). I have a motherease medium airflow and tots bots size 1 and 2 - I assume one of these will be big enough to contain an enormous stuffed night nappy? Or should I hunt down something else?

rusmum · 15/02/2009 18:49

lol i am in the same position! Where you get your bbh??

I using bumbles and they are huge!! at night but good!

Hopefully · 15/02/2009 18:55

BBH are from a baby group friend, who is lending me them so I can try them out - will have to find some preloved if they're good, or sell a one of packs of unused bamboozles before I can buy any!

Ooh, going to order more itti bittis tonight. T has been in his today, and even though the boosters have only been washed once, I can't believe how well they lasted - was able to just pop in a new booster and keep the bone dry nappy on after he'd worn it for 4.5 hours. I also had fun experimenting with different booster combos - currently using tri-fold ones with homemade fleece liner on top. Is it sad that I briefly contemplated paying for special delivery so I could have them sooner?!

lollipopmother · 15/02/2009 19:16

Hopefully's addicted, Hopefully's addicted!

  • I told you I shut my eyes when I post things!

Hopefully - Airflow or newstyle Tots will be fine for nights.

swampster · 15/02/2009 19:25

Speaking of addicts, lollipop, have you spent any time here yet? With the exchange rate as it is, the prices are horrendous but what a selection!

4andnotout · 15/02/2009 20:23

Evening all

Have just had to put another nappy wash on as dd3 & dd4 have managed to fill 2 buckets between them today Perhaps the mushy peas on the market yesterday wasn't such a good idea
