is everyone moving towards using ittis exclusively now then??? are they that good?? Where is cheapest place to buy?

ilovemydogandMrObama · 14/02/2009 20:20

I am staying strong

rusmum · 14/02/2009 20:26

??????????? about what Ilovemydog?

ilovemydogandMrObama · 14/02/2009 20:32

Resisting the adorable Itti Bittis, even though they look really cute and fluffy!

rusmum · 14/02/2009 20:35

what do you use again?? So many nappies i forget!! LOL

I would love to try one but if loved them would have to bet rid of all my 2 parters and start again- plus very expensive as a full time napy- you would need loads!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 14/02/2009 21:00

She has been accident free for past 2 weeks, and just got the Motherease Bedwetter pants. They are hysterical. Real Bridget Jones pants!

DS mainly uses Bum Genius, Flexitots during day and recently BBH at night, which seems to be fairly sturdy at the moment

Hopefully · 14/02/2009 21:02

I am torn between colours of itti bitti! I'm only going to get a few as really the bamboozles are fine for most daytime wear, I just like the itti bittis, and they'll be lovely for summer.
Now, someone pick for me (am ordering red, peppermint and one other): rockmelon, yellow, royal blue, jade, purple.

Really the nappy problem I need to solve is night time - got a couple coming (bumhugger and some other unbranded enormous fluffy thing, complete with boosters), but have no big enough wraps. Was hoping to try wool, but can't find any nice preloved. Will have to hunt for something else for the short term. Any recommendations?

4andnotout · 14/02/2009 21:07

Hopefully I can recomend the royal blue, jade and red they are lovely and vibrant.
So far i have or coming
2 Fuscia
2 lilac
2 black
1 peppermint
1 orange
1 baby pink
1 jade
1 royal blue
1 red and i think that is about it

ilovemydogandMrObama · 14/02/2009 21:08

Up until a few weeks ago, or whenever Lollipop very kindly sent her BBH for trial, DS was fine in a Flexitot or Bum Genius at night, or at least until he got his freak on at 2:00 am...

But then he started waking up properly when I changed his nappy, so needed something to last.

The BBH and Flexitot (boosted with bamboo) seem to work. Use a Tots Bots (new) wrap which are reliable, mostly.

rusmum · 14/02/2009 21:48

4andnot out you won the lottery?? LOL

rusmum · 14/02/2009 21:51

Are most of us still in 2 parters most of the time then????

I am liking my bumbles at night prob is my airflows dont fit over top properly- so what fleece or wool any good //??

My aunt has made me some wool pants but dont know how to go about lanolising- just not sure i get wool????

4andnotout · 14/02/2009 21:59

I sold a few pram bits and some nappies Dp doesn't know how much i have spent though

rusmum · 14/02/2009 22:02

AW!! youwill be in for it!! Are they THAT good?? I am sorely tempted, prob is i like to have all same- dont like bits so if i liked them would have to go with them LOL

4andnotout · 14/02/2009 22:05

I like them but i have a mix of nappies rather than all ittis, i have gone back to blueberry onesize and modern baby pop ins for ease as both my babies can fit them, so only need to take 1 sort of nappy out in changing bag. The itti's are just so pretty and strokeable, im going to get more babylegs and let them just wear nappies, babylegs and a long sleeve t shirt indoors just to show the nappies off!

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 14/02/2009 22:12

Hopefully I have a lime green and a purple Itti and they're both lovely...very 'true' colours iyswim.

mumoftoby · 14/02/2009 22:28

Hopefully - i can only speak for the royal blue ittis, but they are really stunning.

DS1 has gone to bed in a bumhugger (xl) for the first time and a size 3 tots bots fleece wrap fit comfortably over it. DS2 still fits nicely into the fluffles (size 2) with a size 2 tots bots fleece wrap over. I got all of my fleece wraps half price, as they were discontinued striped and spotted ones from various sites. I was dubious about fleece working but have had no leaks at all so far - better record than pampers.

Rusmum - unfortunately I will be sticking to 2-part systems most of the time. With a few wonderoos and ittis as a treat. I am waiting for payday and will order more royal blue in each and perhaps a turquoise itti or two!

swampster · 14/02/2009 22:38

Oops, didn't mean to be a BBH tease - my post-pregnant brain can't cope. So I think what we've got is:

ilovemydogandMrObama: the natural ones (you were already on a promise for them, weren't you? And yes, they are bamboo fleece. One of them is missing a popper but you know about that).

ceb80: a blue one or natural.

rusmum: that leaves one blue one if you want it (decided to hang on to the purple).

Can anyone (lollipop!) say how much postage is likely to be so I can work out a fair price for them? I got the BBHs second hand recently, they are in lovely condition but now DS2 is virtually out of nappies I realise I now have so many I look like a mad woman and I need to get some more Blueberries. I'd want £6 each plus postage.

I haven't been out the door since getting home with DS3 but might manage to trek to the post office some time towards the end of next week.

Can I interest anybody in a size 3 Tots rainbow fleece and/or a size 3 cream Nature Babies fleece Multi Wrap?

How on earth could you part with those lovely BBOS?, lollipop?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 14/02/2009 22:45

hopefully you got the bug!!

I think my fav is the jade, to me he says "prince/ss of far far away".... maybe also as M never gets it to wear it long as she always has a massive explosion in it... but I love all the colours really

rusmum - sandy's are still unbeatable for containment. I haven't really had leaks with the others, but I "trust" them completly IYKWIM. but with M's chunky thighs and tiny waist, the wraps are a bit of a prob atm....

*lollipop" hope you got a lot of nice nappies as present for the cleaning/nursing!!

mumoftoby · 14/02/2009 22:52

swampster - I would definitely be interested in the size 3 fleece wrap as I prefer to only do a nappy wash every other day or every third day.

mumoftoby · 14/02/2009 22:53

Sorry swampster - I meant the tots bots one!

littlelamb · 14/02/2009 22:54

Hello! I am just popping in to see if anyone has any large Motherease wraps to sell? I have 5 size 2 tots bots applix fluffles I could swap them for? I do love them, they are so soft but I just don't need them, the nappy basket is overflowing as it is I think I have only actually used 2 of them, so 3 will be brand new, but I will check to confirm that. I only got them a month or so ago

swampster · 14/02/2009 23:23

Pleeeeease could you take both off my hands, mumoftoby?

Does a fiver posted sound fair for the Tots fleece? You could have both for 8...
