OMG that is so bloody rude ILMD I don't know what it is about nappies but I find it very irritating selling, people ask for a specific nappy but clearly want you to do all their research too.

I have a ffp modern baby cotton nappy if that is any good rusmum just so you can check the fit etc.
I still havent heard from the lady who wanted to swap my bg's will pm her again.
I managed to get to the post office today and post all the fluffy post off so ceb80 you should have fluffy post on monday
lolipop dd3 & dd4 are wearing wonderoos today, dd3 has fitted in it lovely, really snug, i think dd3 needs to chunk out a bit more perhaps but we havent had any leaks. Im saving the wrap for showing off to my friend this afternoon, i got her into cloth but she only uses tots Oh im such a bitch!

AnnVan · 05/02/2009 11:47

4 I feel the same about my Sister -she only uses Tots, and I can't help thinking 'how boring' However, it was seeing her Tots nappies on her DD1 that made me decide to use cloth when Seb arrived.

Oh very of all your snow. We just have ice and slush left here now.

4andnotout · 05/02/2009 12:10

It is lovely and thick snow too, we will go back out in a little while to make a snowman and have a snowball fight. Have to stay close to the house as we are supposed to have a courier coming to pick up the pram i sold on ebay.
I wonder if the postie will be able to get through the snow? Im sure i should have more nappies arriving today

lollipopmother · 05/02/2009 12:42

4 - Glad that w'roos are working, I never had a leak and DD was about 11lbs when I was using them.

Nappy Needs are selling Baby Beehinds, they have pink and natural in stock.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/02/2009 13:24

lollipop thanks! I emailed the distributor of BBH and they have availability (even though their website says 6 week wait!). But postage and packing is £6.00 as opposed to Nappyneeds £3.00.

Guess which one I'll use?

lollipopmother · 05/02/2009 14:58

Hmmmmm, toughie!!

Sunflower - Do you think the nappies have been lost? My postie is awol today with my wool wrap but I think that must be due to the 3 inches of snow!

OP posts:
SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 05/02/2009 15:07

that would be 3 parcels lost... no, just think they're probably full at the sorting office not having delivered anything for 3 days, 1 was sent sat, the other 2 monday, though one was sent (as far as I know) nearly 2 wks ago... will wait til sat and then contact the seller for that one

cyteen · 05/02/2009 16:53

Thanks for the tip-off re. Nappy Needs, have just ordered another pink BBH (and a fleece wrap, and a bamboo Bambinex ).

I wonder why the BBH colours are being discontinued?

AnnVan · 05/02/2009 17:14

cyteen I too have paid a visit to nappy needs. Have ordered a natural BBH. How many nappies do you have now?

cyteen · 05/02/2009 17:21

ummm...

3 teddies
1 flexitots
1 pocket tots
3 fuzzi bunz
2 bbh
2 ittis
1 bumble

and now the bbh and the bamboo to come, plus a teddy and a flexitots that i returned to nappy lady as they were too smal so hoping for a swap to size 2s.

i must be ill

AnnVan · 05/02/2009 17:24

Yup - you've caught the nappy bug!! There's worse bugs to have I think.

cyteen · 05/02/2009 17:49

true

this might sound stupid but getting into real nappies has also made me appreciate...i don't know how to put it...the finity of stuff. you know when you order from amazon or whatever, your stuff just turns up and you take it for granted that there is a limitless supply of that book or cd or whatever. you never think about where that stuff comes from (or i don't anyway). while it's annoying that there's no more leopard print stacinators and coloured bbhs are hard to get, it does make me appreciate that these are real things, made by real people, and maybe that's a good thing rather than assuming that there is a limitless supply of everything just a click of a mouse away.

AnnVan · 05/02/2009 19:04

I hadn't really thought of it like that cyteen but then in modern society, with everything so easily accessible (and just as easily disposed of) Most people don't stop and think where the things they buy come from.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/02/2009 19:43

Which is the more fleecy BBH? Bamboo or Hemp?

swampster · 05/02/2009 20:02

Good grief - is the BBH furore still going on? - Bamboo is very fleecy, I've heard the hemp goes the way of all hemp, thinner but crunchier.

I have some older preloved BBH bamboos which are much fluffier and fleecier than my new ones but that could be because of the previous owners skill with ecoballs and dryerballs.

rusmum · 05/02/2009 20:23

stop teasing me with bbh,

rusmum · 05/02/2009 20:25

Ok - on a serious note, DD 26 weeks and just starting weaning- hacing real probs with pooh!!!!

Now i cant just chuck the whole thing in bucket and then wash (have done so far but opened washer door to find a turd looking at me today!)

So what is the routine for more solid pooh?????

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 05/02/2009 20:57

rus can't stop laughing at the "turd looking" at you... god, all this to come soon... maybe i'll keep her exclusively bf...

4andnotout · 05/02/2009 21:08

RUSMUM Flick the poo into the lav before putting the nappy in the bucket, we are now weaning dd4 and so not looking forward to turds Although bf poo is the worse staining agent i ahve ever come across The other 3 dd's were ff and i never had this problem Will try to bf again though if i ever have another (next year )
Im mnetting from the bottom of dd3's bed, waiting for her to drop off before creeping out Oh the joys of parenting.

rusmum · 05/02/2009 21:15

how you mean 'flick off'? am using fleece liners, should i use paper too/ POOHS ARE VERY THISK AND STICKY BUT NOT REALLY 'FLICKABLE' AS TOO STICKY!! sorry for caps just noticed!

swampster · 05/02/2009 21:20

Soon to be 5andout?

turd looking at you - almost split my stitches there. Time to use paper liners for a while?
