Rusmum - Totally depends on how often you wash. I've got 4 night nappies, I wash every other day, they take a day to dry.

Anyone want a GK (Green Kids from Australia) Funtime One size Pocket Nappy - funky/cute blue camo outer. In excellent condition, no stains or faults. £5.50 including postage - without an insert, however I have a bamboo/cotton(?) PeaPods insert (flat cloth that you fold to insert) which I could include with it, for say an extra pound?

Putting Benjamin into mainly fitteds & wool at the moment (to see if it helps his eczema) so clearing out some more pockets!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/02/2009 22:25

swampster: Forgot to say Congratulations! Sorry! And I love your little boy's name too!

rusmum: the bumble I have dries quite quickly, so depends on how frequently you wash. And I think the terry it's made from stays a lot softer than say Tots/Little Lamb, which is a plus. Though at the moment, I'm tumble drying it every evening so Benjamin has a cotton nappy to sleep in! Just hope my bundle of bumbles arrives soon - the lady was snowed in for days, so not sure if they've been sent yet or not.

rusmum · 05/02/2009 22:57

dont remind me i missed out- you got such a deal!!

Do you really need 7??? LOL

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/02/2009 23:03

A deal??? The ones you got were 3 pounds posted, and the ones I bought (which prob weren't in as good of condition as yours!) were 2.50 plus postage! LOL So don't think there was much difference really!

swampster · 06/02/2009 01:00

Thanks for all congratulations, it really is great to be home with greedy feeding monster.

He's almost cleared out his meconium and is getting through his disposables... Just wish I had a few more xs Sandy's!

rusmum · 06/02/2009 08:23

mine £4 each then post! Cut both got some that the importsnt thing!! LOL

MildWest · 06/02/2009 09:34

Hi all, mind if i join you? Just started using cloth for DD1 (10 weeks) after doing a trial pack from the council. Getting on really well in the day so far, no leaks!

Not doing so well at night though - tried a baby beehind (after researching on here!) and a sandy's bamboo - both nights she woke up, i think from sweating through the wrap - clothes damp/clammy but after i took the nappy off, dried pretty quick.

Have got a couple of wool wraps drying and raring to use one tonight - hopefully this will make a difference...?! Or does anyone use PUL wraps at night successfully?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/02/2009 09:42

MildWest: Welcome - of course you may join in! The more the better!

I've used PUL wraps quite successfully at nights (always with fleece lined nappies though). I use the Motherease Airflow wraps - they're best! However, I've recently switched over to wool and am very pleased! I think it helps a bit to evaporate and so baby is less damp. Just have to make sure pyjamas over the wool aren't too tight, as I had a leaky problem one night with too tight of waistband on pj trousers. but tried again last night with loose fitting ones, and we went 12+ hours (with heavy wetting nearly 2yo) and not a problem in sight. I'm sold on wool now!

swampster · 06/02/2009 09:49

I will become woolly soon, but at the moment for nights it has to be fleece - as a material it takes a lot of abuse and dries in seconds and is lovely and breathable over a nappy and I don't have trouble with leaks... But wool is just so lovely and natural.

Welcome to your new addiction, MildWest.

cyteen · 06/02/2009 09:55

morning all

put DS in the BBH/Airflow combo last night...it leaked although tbh was just final straw in rubbish night all round. also not that surprising as he was feeding every 2 hours, and not just for comfort either.

swampster · 06/02/2009 10:02

I always got leaks with PUL at night, no matter what the type of wrap - bite the bullet, go woolly or fleecy!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 10:05

Hi MildWest, used PUL til recently and no probs (ME airflow and totsbots flexi wrap), but have started using wool and fleece if I'm using 2-parters. loose clothing is a must though, as rachel said.

finally received 2 parcels, but I'm really thinking the 3rd one (which was sent a week earlier) has been lost , that was the yellow itti woth extra inserts....

swampster · 06/02/2009 10:12

I think your itti went skiing - the post must be so backed up it will probably still turn up.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 06/02/2009 10:13

hi guys not been on here a while as washing machine broke in old house, and moved to a new one.
DD (20 months) went back into cloth (MEOS+NBwraps) this week, had to order some new wraps as she had grown out her airflows mediums in the month she was in disposables.
she is showing signs of potty training so maywell not be in them long, but with no.3 due i dotn mind i can just reuse them. (hope if i have a boy he wont mind pink!)

rus i have to use 2 paper liners AND a fleece one, the paper to lift out eyeballing poos () and the fleece keeps her dry.

does anyone know if the difference between the MEOS stay dry and original are worth it? cos ive got a ton of fleece liners i make out of tired blankets, (i love ikea ) and that seems to give her enough of a stay dry effect, but they are fiddly to put together at times (nappy + snap in booster + microfibre booster + fleece + paper + Wrap)

i have given up on night times with cloth myself, tho never tried a wool wrap at night, does it really make a difference?

swampster · 06/02/2009 10:17

Hi Natty, the woollies swear blind by them and as they must work pretty much like fleece, I believe them.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 10:17

swamp hope you're right....

cyteen · 06/02/2009 10:20

swampster funny you should say that, I've got a fleece wrap on the way from Nappy Needs Definitely interested in wool as well although will try and curb my curiosity for now.

rusmum you've still got first refusal on my Bumble so let me know if you want it, as I think there was someone else on this thread who was interested

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 06/02/2009 10:21

might get a few fleece as the wool woud require treatment, and i dont have the time to be honest, i bearly have time to wash the ones i do use lol.
would fleece work?

swampster · 06/02/2009 10:22

I'm just worried about what DH will say when he sees his little boy in what he will consider hippy-dippy weave-your-own-lentils pants!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 10:24

natty stacinator has been brilliant, and wool only needs treating time to time and don't need washing often either, it sounds hard work, but really isn't

swapster how are you & new Bum?

swampster · 06/02/2009 10:25

Natty, I am the one responsible for the run on leopard print fleecy stacinator wraps which has caused a global shortage!

They are truly wonderful!
