FairLadyRantALot · 09/01/2009 22:59

biffandchip · 09/01/2009 23:00

ds2 - hairdeecups (hiccups), 'oooh it's about my tummy' - which means he has eaten too much and feels ill.
ds3 - airpork (airport)

DD calls her Granny "Bangy" for some strange reason. Helicopters used to be "dopper dopper", elephants were "elants" for a while and slippery is still "slipperly". This year Father Christmas was "Papa Missmas" in fact we had a Missmas Tree and Missmas presents too. Oh and her Godparents live in "Singaporely"! She is slowly beginning to pronounce words correctly and I am very

BibiThree · 09/01/2009 23:06

DD1 could not get the hang of radiators ... she called them "ay-di-ray-di-ers"

Foreheads are still sometimes "headfores" when she's very tired.

BibiThree · 09/01/2009 23:08

And Burritos were tubbritos for a while too

Divvy · 09/01/2009 23:08

Fank-you-W, 22 months = v cute

portableradiator · 09/01/2009 23:10

'martoes' for tomatos

'pizza hunt'

'hooder' hoover

BettyTurnip · 09/01/2009 23:21

Dd1 (4yrs) - normanents for ornaments. "Strictly Con Dancing" - pretty apt with all the useless vote sagas last series.

Dd2 (2yrs) - tri-an-gangle for triangle (now sadly missed). Nana Bender instead of Nana Brenda (makes me smile every time). Bottoms are always referred to as a "big fat bum" no matter whose it is or what size it may be .

Loads more which they've grown out of - I can't now remember and wish I'd written them down.

JulesJules · 09/01/2009 23:33

hozipal - hospital
chu-wo - Charlie and Lola
fablius - fabulous
Kingkong Spanion - King Charles spaniel

All of which we encourage rather than correct, I'm afraid...

JulesJules · 09/01/2009 23:35

hellypopter - helicopter

imaginaryfriend · 09/01/2009 23:38

Dd (6) used to say:

mooznik (music)
mezwin (medicine)

She speaks really well now but still says 'tooken' instead of taken and we can't bear to correct her.

puffling · 09/01/2009 23:39

'I can't know' instead of I can't remember/ I don't know.
'Bubba' instead of child - dd thinks this is official terminology.
'Christmas goats' instead of reindeer
'Dadward' - she thinks this is the formal version of daddy
I 'biffed' myself - she doesn't know it's just something we say.

keels26 · 09/01/2009 23:42

DS used to call my Mums bf Bum Bum, not sure why except his name begins with a B! Also used to love tweenies and would call Milo Mymatch!

imaginaryfriend · 09/01/2009 23:43

dd also used to call popcorn cock porn which was funny but a touch embarrassing.

Plonker · 09/01/2009 23:57

Dd2 always confused her tenses. She would say "I wilt" meaning "I won't" I cried the day she said it right
She also used to struggle with her 'w's and would say "daddy gone durk"

Loads more, I could go on all day ...

Dd3 is at that stage where is learning new words every day (17 months) - she lovingly refers to upsy daisy as "daisy doo" and anything that falls or is dropped is "all fall down". Awww ...

ClementFreudsGreatestAdmirer · 10/01/2009 00:06

dd called me a 'plumsey elf' the other day after i'd said she was a clumsy oaf .

kickassangel · 10/01/2009 00:15

disidappear-ed

CeceliaAhern · 10/01/2009 00:19

Hostable ( for hospital)
Toke (instead of took)
Boppend ( instead of bottom)

headzookeeper · 10/01/2009 00:20

my almost 3 year old went round all christmas saying ho ho ho merry birthday.

headzookeeper · 10/01/2009 00:21

oh yeah and he has just has chicken pops

devilisunaccomplishedinprada · 10/01/2009 00:21

DD1 on boys having "wellies". I know I'll have to correct her soon but atm it's just so cute and funny.

atowncalledalice · 10/01/2009 08:53

DS1 used to say 'parkner' instead of partner. And DS2 once told my father he had a 'boiled head' - we still use that one :D

Raggydoll · 10/01/2009 09:36

dd (3) calls her toenails footnails and her toes are footfingers. She also calls her big brother Alice

citronella · 10/01/2009 09:44

ds2
Cotinder (cucumber)
tatoes (tomatoes)
pepenani(pepperami)
norter (water)
