my son lost his coat at school, then found it the day after. I asked him where it was and he said, 'it was in the lost properly.'

We also get 'capital letter' for caterpillar.

whoingodsnameami · 09/01/2009 21:52

dt2 (5) always says sham instead of shall, its cute so I dont correct her........sham I put this here mum? sham I brush your hair for you mum? soooooo cute

thatsnotmymonster · 09/01/2009 21:54

ds and dd (3 and 2) were calling the pepper 'lentil' today at lunch and kept asking if they could grind more 'lentil' into their soup please!

My very clever and articulate ds always says, 'can you blind this for me' instead of 'spread' when referring to his duvet, a towel etc- know idea why.
He also says a Lift Fork (fork lift) and foil tin.

DD- says Bampa (Grandpa)
Pithfs (crisps)
Peam (cream)

Oh and 'muscle' sprouts (because of muscles from brussels)

PigeonPie · 09/01/2009 21:55

DS1 used to call himself YutYut and we've no idea why that. He also used to call Macaroni Cheese, which he loves, 'Manky Cheese' - that' one's had to stick, even though he can say it properly now!

PigeonPie · 09/01/2009 21:57

Oh, and he was looking at a construction type book the other day and saw a bulldozer with caterpillar tracks, only he couldn't remember what they were called and after some thought called them Ladybird tracks.

Thomcat · 09/01/2009 21:57

So many to mention but one today was -

DD2 calls a guitar a chickentar. Every time without fail. Despite me politely just letting her know how it's actually said she is adament that that is how it's said!

Astrophe · 09/01/2009 22:02

These are gorgeous

My two (ages lmost 3 and 4.5...ie, too old really!) say:

frinkle = freckle
pone kine = pine cone
frint puts = foot prints
peelala = catapillar
sleef = fleece

I think the oder one knows they are funny rather than correct though.

JoyS · 09/01/2009 22:20

These are all so sweet!

DD1 (2.7) says:

bobbin=bottom
feento feento=twinkle twinkle
and my favorite
fwumptus=scrumptious

I spend all my time trying to get her to say scrumptious because it is just.so.cute.

devonsmummy · 09/01/2009 22:21

ferdiculous - ridiculous
Mumeep - mummy. He can say mummy but thinks mumeep is hlarious

MrsSanta · 09/01/2009 22:25

Ds now 3 has called the trampoline a jumpoline since he was 2. It was so funny and even now we all call it a jumpoline.
So cute,

FairLadyRantALot · 09/01/2009 22:39

my es, when he was little, used to jump on the bed screeching "pop, pop, pop" (instead of hop, hop, hop)
he was so cute....
am not allowed to say that now, though....apparently it is not so cool when you are 12

alibobins · 09/01/2009 22:40

Ds calls a guitar- tantarmee

Dottoressa · 09/01/2009 22:42

DD is four, and we still have 'bzzgetti' for 'spaghetti' (in fact, that's what we all call it now).

We still use it in the family although ds grew out if it years ago.

He's grown out of them now but:
bursketti - spaghetti
burcuter - computer
