Maybe it was 146 and the rest was carers or something to make it 402 before

I get middle rate care. I think the carer element and disability element of uc came to about £300 or something. Is that what you mean?

Yeah I was awarded middle rate care for my daughter but I'm still waiting for a decision for my uc. So it does go in the lower disability group then. Thanks

Lianney84 · 01/07/2023 23:03

Just checked it was £402 not £412. I now get £456.89

Yours has gone up too because you said they have awarded you high rate care.

@Minnie83 I get carers allowance separate thats not in with my uc they only thing is they take carers allowance and deduct that from my uc. My son was awarded hrc in Feb this year but been getting the higher elemnet since I applied for uc.2021 , i didn't get anything backdated as my son was awarded dla I had only just been on universal credits so there was nothing to back date for me.

Lianney84 · 02/07/2023 14:28

@Pk12 my uc element has always been the higher one its if u get middle rate care not just high rate. Must depend where people live is the only explanation I can give for different entitlements

Hello90xx · 02/07/2023 15:58

Hi! My son has been awarded HRC. Awarded from January 24th. I was just wondering if anyone who's good at math could calculate what UC owe? We are paid 15th of every month and assessment period is 8th-9th. Thanks in advance ! 🙏 Got an appointment with them tomorrow to show "evidence"

Minnie83 · 02/07/2023 17:22

@Hello90xx 5 months at 456

Minnie83 · 02/07/2023 17:24

There's no different entitlement depending we're you live, the government website states the same for all

Mumoftwins2007 · 02/07/2023 18:51

To be completely honest, I’m not sure, I didn’t realise there were different rates for it

Pk12 · 02/07/2023 21:13

I'm grateful for whatever rate I'm given to be fair i just see different people saying different rates. It's confusing, have they backdated yours Minnie on uc yet

Minnie83 · 02/07/2023 22:08

No have they shit

Pk12 · 03/07/2023 09:57

Minnie83 · 02/07/2023 22:08

Minnie83 · 03/07/2023 10:10

Scan date 15th March - I was told on Friday it was allocated to the overtime pile I’ve rang this morning and still no news and not with a decision maker - has anyone got a similar scan date and heard anything yet please

I rang for 24th march and they said end of July 😩

ksa221 · 04/07/2023 07:42

My son got declined on the 1st unfortunately they just didn’t want to tell me on the phone clearly . I’ve been offered to send in additional evidence as late evidence and it be sent back to the same decision maker - so do I take that option or do I need to ring and go for mandatory reconsideration

Oh no. So sorry to hear that. I would do MR. What was your dla claim condition for if you don't mind me asking?

UC attempted to tell me yesterday in the journal that I was not eligible for any Backpay 🤦🏽‍♀️
I replied with fire 🤣🤣 just kidding...I replied with a breakdown of every month since my scan date and what I know I should have been entitled to with the elements added on. This morning they've replied saying 'yes' I am indeed entitled to backpay and what the amount is. Not sure why they like creating so many unnecessary obstacles

Catsandcupcakes · 04/07/2023 10:13

@ksa221 I'm not sure. Maybe give them a ring.

Minnie83 · 04/07/2023 10:56

@Sweetsweetlike1 yeah there forever causing unnecessary stress and like you to fight for whatever ur entitled too unfortunately

Minnie83 · 04/07/2023 10:59

@ksa221 yes defo M R, either in writing with your evidence or call them and request MR

LmumL · 04/07/2023 11:33

@Minnie83 I’m just wondering when you put in for your MR did a decision maker ring you? iv had a phone call this morning he was really nice asked a few questions and said I would receive a decision by the end of the week I just want a answer 😒 x
