so if you are awarded DLA does it just appear in your bank account?

My cousin whose scan date is March 9th called today and they said it hadn't reached a DM yet.
But I don't know that means anything as I called for mine in the afternoon and was told it was not yet with a DM, then I called the following morning and was told I'd been awarded the previous evening. Which would mean I'd been awarded a few hours after I'd called and been told it was not yet with a DM🤦🏽‍♀️

Some have received a text saying they've been awarded, some have called and been told, some have received a phonecall, and some simply found about when a payment appeared in their account 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi lovely’s, I’ve applied for my daughter, received a letter 3rd may saying they have received it then received another letter received this morning dated 14th June saying sorry you haven’t received a decision yet it is taking up to 15 weeks. I’ve read through most comments and everyone has been waiting a while, but haven’t received letters? Is it a good sign? I’m the most impatient person ever. I’m literally clueless lol

I received that letter, I think it's just an automatic letter that some receive but doesn't really determine the outcome

How long did you wait after you received outcome ?

I sent mine off end of Feb, had an letter 8th March saying it had been received.

I received another letter 25th April saying sorry they hadn't given me a decision but they are dealing with it and they will write again with more info as soon as they could.

I've heard nothing since.

I've had no 'scan' dates either - what does this mean?

Do you think I should call?

I received that letter on around week 9 or 10. But I received the back pay about 3 days after I received the outcome (which was week 14)

Im pretty sure that letter saying it's been received is the scan date letter. The date they say they received the info is when it's been scanned

@RosieLemonadeAndSugar so basically count forward 15 weeks from the received/scan date, and that's a rough idea of when you will hopefully have an outcome. But it could be a little bit before or after the 15 week period

ahh I didn't realise scan date was the same as the letter received date. Thanks.

Hi all my scan date is the 4th April.
I rang them earlier as had to give them new information.
Lovely guy I spoke to said I'm looking at end July beginning off August for decision.
He did say I would receive a text with a decision and a letter will follow giving details etc.

so im prob looking at mid august then

if DLA is back dated to cover July 4 ( i think ) can you then claim the £150 COL payment for disability?
