Hi does anyone know how long the application is with the decision maker? Was told it was with them today.

@Hello90xx 😂 it’s such a long wait!! No I phoned them this morning. Was told that they would send me a letter within a couple of days as well xx

@Hood1991 Heard of people getting a decision the same day and then others taking a few days. Hopefully by the end of the week you'll be awarded what you deserve 🩷x

If they tell u ul receive a letter it normally means its been declined, as same happened to me. They wouldn't tell me decision, just that il receive letter

But saying that I didn't ring again later in the day an different advisor told me it's been declined so they tell u what they like 😬

Anyone who been awarded and told UC how long did you have to wait for a back pay? Its been 5 weeks on Friday and I feel like banging my head against a Brick wall as not getting any answers no matter how many times I phone or leave a message 😫 if the wait for DLA isn't long enough now have to fight UC 😩

Ffs sent extra info on the 26th a good 18 days later and it still hasn't been scanned on to there system even though I literally sent it as recorded delivery and someone at the dla signed for it.

Funny you say that I received a text yesterday saying your dla claim is still being looked at and a decision will be reached soon you don't have to call it will be in writing ?? Translate for me plz x

@Mummytofivegirls make complaint online an it will be dealt with rapidly. No haven't heard 😫

Im awaiting UC Backpay also, but it's only been a week so far. Glad to see your comment as I was under the impression it would only take a week or so😩😩😩 Not sure what even made me assume that 🤦🏽‍♀️

@Hood1991 hi, my scan date is March 10th. If you do hear anything and able to update on the thread that'll be great! Will do same! Was going to call this week but might hang on now

Uc sent me my back pay today i was exspecting to owe them money not the other way around i told them a week ago about my claim and carers only a few days ago so it was really quick for me, however i had a friend who had to pay back some of what she owed so who knows with uc !!!

@Sweetsweetlike tbh I thought the same a week or 2 max but it been nearly 5 weeks and I still have no idea when to expect the back pay I keep messaging but just get ignored every time 😫

@Mummytofivegirls I heard today that under special circumstances my uc will be updated so just waiting on hearing about the backpay now too xx

@Mumto2sengirlsxx omg the cheek of them seriously. "Under special circumstances" that's money you're entitled to what are the special circumstances. They're a joke make it sound like they're doing you a favour

Yeah like its ur fault dla have taken so long to make decision, u couldn't of let them know any sooner, than u did anyway

When I made my changes with UC, I made sure to write a very clear message in my journal stating the date I applied for DLA, and how many weeks the claim took to be processed. I also told them they are welcome to send me a link to upload my initial DLA letter that states the expected waiting time. Obviously I got no response from UC, so who knows what nonsense they may try to pull
