I was on hold for over an hour the other day trying to get a rough update, My scan date was 6th march and I was told I have at least another 6 weeks before it goes to the decision maker yet? I get at least one message a week saying its with them and not to contact etc but its the not knowing that's frustrating isn't it. After looking at the comments I'm not 100% convinced my daughter will be awarded it, she is 4 and diagnosed ASD and sensory processing difficulties. Seems hit and miss doesn't it depends which case manager deals with your documents.

My daughter wasn't even diagnosed with asd and got hrc and lm if that makes you feel a little better this was year and half ago I've applied for dla for my son 13th march its ridiculous 😬

hi all we got awarded mrc and lmr which is what i felt he deserves they awRed till hes 16 and then have to apply to pip, have to do my daughters forms now and hope she gets something

Hi I had my childs senco fill one section in that helped a lot then I'd kept all reviews from school like inclusion support speech therapist etc then 2 of her reports back from paediatrician xx

Try not to worry just keep any evidence you do have if they decide to say your not entitled good for mandatory reconsideration I always think it depends on the person doing the award too some are horrible and don't realise how hard day to day life is for us xx

@Hood1991 my scan date 10th March. I rang last week and they said 15 week wait currently so another couple of weeks at least I think

Hi everyone.

I recently asked for a reconsideration for my daughter who was awarded lrm. I believe she should be entitled to the care element of some sort.

My question is, does anyone know how long mandatory reconsideration takes?

She suffers severe mental health issues and although she has been assessed by CAMHS I don’t have any evidence of what we deal with at home as she refuses to have therapy, every day is a battle to try and keep her thinking positively. I have included in my MR that I am on constant suicide watch with her due to previous attempts and self harming. I have little evidence to support it due to dealing with it behind closed doors. I’m not sure we will get what she deserves due to lack of evidence. Has anyone been in this situation before?
