Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My son has peadtricians but they sent a letter to his gp, which had held my claim up a further 5 weeks as the letter took 9 days to get there and 2 more weeks for the doctor to sign ! I hope that wont be the case for u x

3Hearts1Beat · 26/05/2023 08:14

@Sarahloo88 hi hun,

So, from my past experience and as many others have also mentioned on here, they do request for you to provide the information for the professionals whom are involved with the child but they don’t always make contact with them so it’s a 50/50 really.

I think if they did have to make contact with your son’s Consultant, I’m sure they could and would accept the feedback of the medical professional or Consultant who has been assigned to your son in her absence so, I wouldn’t worry. Also even if this did pose as a delay for you, I don’t think it would be too much of a delay and DLA would probably accommodate any delay if need be as this is clearly something that would be out of your control anyway.

@Tfutcher if you don’t mind me asking, was you awarded the same again for both Care and Mobility components or has your award changed this time round? Just asking as, I’ve recently also submitted for a renewal.

@Soph2345 I would think you would be a week or so behind me but judging from this thread there seems to be no apparent order sometimes and new claims and renewals seem to be different too which makes sense.
@Emma94xx The wait is torture. I am still waiting for an Autism diagnosis from CAMHS too assessments are complete just waiting for feedback appontment. This whole process has taken nearly 3 years(after another 3 years of trying to get people to acknowledge there was an issue with him) for assessments and referrals etc. and now it's looking like we're nearing the finishing line my appointments change and we get put back further!! Still waiting for EHCP referral from school to go to panel too just feels like a never ending wait to get support for my 9yr old bless him.

Emma94xx · 26/05/2023 09:05

Hi @Mammato2senkiddos the wait for autism is ridiculous I agree to that, my daughter got her diagnosis April Just gone she's 7 my sons 3 and non verbal I was hoping he'd get diagnosed a lot quicker but panel is a 2 year wait now in the sandwell area 🤐 ridiculous hope your son gets the help he deserves x

It stayed the same.

Happy Birthday GIF by Tim Robinson

Trying to get supporting evidence for MR is actually peeing me off, no one seems to want to help 🤯😫

Gemma1985x · 30/05/2023 09:53

this is my 1st time adding to this post but i have been keeping an eye on scan dates, see its strange i sent my sons renewal forms in in march, got a letter back mid april saying they recieved them 20/03 , not sure if scan date is that or the date the letter they sent me in april, but i called them last week and they said cause my sons claim ends on 12/06 that his claim will be sent to the decision maker before it ends so it just carries on, which seems to contradict people saying it goes on scan dates?x

Somuchgoo · 30/05/2023 09:57

Woo hoo. Ours came through. As in, the back payment has gone in, which is how we know the citation was successful. They still haven't formally told us 😂

(Sent off end of Feb)

Gemma1985x · 30/05/2023 10:01

Im pretty worried he will be declined as even though hes been on middle rate care and low rate mobility hes not been seen by camhs for years cause you know what theyre like , soon as theres a diagnosis they pass the buck, hes just started year 7 and cause hes quite clever his struggles can get overlooked cause hes generally well behaved , and the teachers dont know him that well yet cause hes only been there since september and hes not 1 of the 1s always ‘in trouble’ but he struggles alot in everyday life , i still have to make him do all his hygiene and help him and help him dress so hes presentable for highschool (in prinary school it didnt matter so much if his hair was stuck up or jumper inside out , he also struggles with texture and sound and can get very overwhelmed but thats only struggles that u see if your with him on a dailt basis , i dont think theyd understand unless they met him properly etc

Emma94xx · 30/05/2023 13:04

Emma94xx · 30/05/2023 13:04

Hi did you send your forms special delivery @Somuchgoo

No, we meant to but forgot in the end 🙄
It was quite a thick dossier of evidence we gave them though.

Minnie83 · 30/05/2023 19:02

Minnie83 · 30/05/2023 20:19

@Mumto2sengirlsxx did you get it back dated to 16th Feb or when u first rang x

Minnie83 · 31/05/2023 10:29

@Mumto2sengirlsxx I just rang to hear here there b###s##t reasons and it was rejected due to no evidence, I mean why don't they do there job they could of easily collected evidence 😬
