@Mummy2fivegirls I thought that but wasn't sure. Thank you, this is all new to me and alarming how long the process takes especially filling the form in. They don't make it easy!!! I haven't claimed DLA for my oldest before as I felt it was too much of a faff. Now I know why I didn't x

Omg they just rang me and asked aload of questions 😳 I'm so anxious now

@Minnie83 yeah she got awarded on Friday 12th back pay was in the following Wednesday, still no letter though but I did ring so I know all that information, on that Friday aswell I put in for carers and they took literally less than a week for backpay to go in and sorted xx

@Mummy2fivegirls ah ok that's good to hear, do you know when it was back dated too?

@Minnie83 both DLA and carers got back dated to the date I rang and we requested DLA forms so that was 24th January x

are you putting in for a new claim or renewing DLA?
I’m wondering if renewals are being put through quicker?

Mine's a renewal, scan date 14 Feb. Award ended last week. Was with decision maker when I rang last Thurs.
My daughter has a genetic condition is on higher rate and has deteriorated since her initial claim.

This confused me too. I’m only on week 7 so a I have a while to go. I got asked to send original copies of mine and daughters birthday certificates. I sent them off 3 weeks ago and I keep checking to see if they have received it and keep saying no and to keep ringing back and checking! Hoping they have not been lost x

Sent my youngests new claim off on 5th may.... hasn't even been scanned into the system yet.
My eldest is due a renewal for next March, the wait lists are shocking right now. I don't understand why they are doing short renewals for children whom won't improve in such a short space of time surely it's just backlogging them more & more.

When did they tell u ud been refused did Urs go to DM on Friday or was it Monday x

So annoyed! I called DLA today because I still hadn’t had a confirmation letter to say they had received my sons form. Even though they told me the scan date was the 23rd. I called and they told me they had no record of my son and I was given someone else’s scan date and ref number 😢 I have to start again
