@LCF2021 if you feel like the dummy is causing more problems than solving then do it! One of the mums I know just went cold turkey last week, tears for about 30 minutes then he forgot about it. Although not everyone is the same, maybe worth taking the plunge on!

Urgh

3yo tantrummed and sobbed from. 7.15 -9, and feel asleep sobbing.

She woke at 10.30 and has been either shouting, sobbing or watching octonauts ever since, and it's now quarter to 3 in the morning.

She said her tummy hurt, so we gave her calpol.

She's recovering from surgery for a brain tumour, and has had an absolute stinker of a few months, with endless complications, further surgeries and tummy problems.

She really needs her sleep these days, but also struggles more than she did to control her emotions.

I'm just letting her watch her octonauts in bed now (next to mine) so I can doze. Its not ideal, but neither is sobbing for several hours.
