Toddler and newborn support thread?

For some reason I thought this would be doable.

DD is now 8 days old and DS is just 2.

Holy moly what was I thinking.

Is anyone else in the same boat? I'd love some company.

Congratulations! I have a friend with the same gap between her two. She found it tough but doable.

One thing I remember a random mum I'd met saying is that when her son bites her, she bites him back (not hard) but show that it's not nice - I'm not sure if it worked or if I'd do it but just thought I'd share!

I'm fairly sure that's abuse.

Did you manage to get a nap in the end?! I'd forgotten how tiresome the night time raves are!!

Forgot about this, sorry! I did get a nap when MIL came over thankfully.

What's everyone doing for bonfire night? I'm thinking of doing some sort or fireworks inspired artwork with DD this afternoon and we might get one of those little fountain fireworks to put in the garden for her to watch. I think she's too little for sparklers.

Hoping to revive this thread! I have a 5 week old and a 15 month old and I'm knackered! Luckily eldest is in nursery 3 days a week but the dread I feel every morning DH drops her off incase there's been a positive and she has to self isolate could push me over the edge! Lockdown feels really suffocating this time around, especially as the weather has been so awful and I don't fancy taking a newborn out in the snow just yet (especially as he's had a snotty nose for the last 16 days - the joys of nursery germs)! Counting down the days to 15th feb in the hope somewhere like soft play can reopen and I can regain a little sanity!
