Wouldn't we all be a nightmare on a rare ladies only night out?!

We have 2 grobags... 1 for wash 1 for bed (ds2 has them for naps too) ... but I wish we had 1 spare (but can't justify the cost). Have had a couple of dodgy moments as ds2 is a bit of a sicky baby - but so far he's aimed more for the undersheet than the grobag so we've been lucky

egypt: i've moved from austria to london about 3 yrs ago - and about 3 months ago we moved from london to bracknell (berkshire)
let me have a quick look re kiddicare

anybody got a highchair yet? don't know which one i want hmmmm

georgina: lucas started rolling over (back to tummy) weeks ago. but just lately he does it "consciously" if that makes any sense
he does it all the time now! even at night! and after a few minutes i get the big scream because he can't roll back yet - but when he is on his tummy he loves to raise his upperbody as high as possible (and legs as well )
and just like yours he likes also: kicking legs, moving arms like wild, arching back, sitting, standing (!), and he also starts grabing things now and holding on to them , every day something new!

nothing for me from kiddicare - but thanks anyways

aww don't you just love bathtimes? he is enjoying it so much, it makes me really laugh! he is kicking his legs and moving his arms ... everything gets wet - but not even 10 min afterwards he was gone - and now we ordered piiiiiizzzaaaaaa (don't feel like cooking)

GeorginaA · 24/09/2004 19:18

Oops, Twiglett - sorry, I'm not on grobag commission, honest!

Ooo... forgot to add - he found his toes on holiday! His top activity is now to grab his foot, embed his big toe right into the back of his mouth and suck vigorously...

was getting a 2.5tog 0-6 month size, as her only 2.5tog is newborn and now the warm weather has ended dont want to use the 1.0togs. and the other two were going to be 6-18months. (one for wash, one for bed...dd is too a sicky/pooey baby and i cant be arsed to wash them every day!) but....if you reckon 6-18month will fit, spose i'll just get 2.....she is 4 months after all, and on the 75th percentile! anyway, yes i'll order you one.

anyone else? may need another to get to £50. dont know if the ones of your desiring are £12.99 are they twiglett? shall check. anyway, i'll cat you my address and you can send a chq, thats fine.

Egypt · 24/09/2004 20:10

twiglett - cant see any maisy bags. and the funky animals is only in 1.0tog

you have a choice of:
to the moon £21.95
sam bear £21.95
noah's ark £21.95
baby farmyard £21.95
or pink classic £12.99
the rest are poppers and side zips.

Egypt · 24/09/2004 20:10

take it you want 2.5tog?

kbaby · 24/09/2004 20:11

Susi the big day is 2nd april. Were getting married in las vegas and then to hawaii for a honeymoon.
Egypt dont worry too much about the baby massage. We did backs this week and all babies started off on their tummies and after 2 mins only 1 was left. The others all cried, she did say that we could put them over our knees if that made them happier. I ended up massaging dd's back while she was sat up.
Georginaa. DD rolls over from back to tummy, she started this about a week ago. Infact tonight im sure shes doing it deliberatly as each time I put her on her back she rolls straight over last for a few seconds and then cries until i roll her back. She hasnt got the hang of putting her hands infront of her. She keeps her arms by her side and so cant lift her head, if I put her arms in the front she has a look about but still doesnt like it much. DD's not interested in standing at all, if i stand her up she just bends her legs. She dound her feet tonight. I came downstarirs to find her on the floor with a toe wedged in her mouth.
Tonight looks as if its going the same way as the others. fell asleep at 7.00 but since then has woken 3 times. Ive given 5oz formula and breast fed her, this was with the hope that the milk in a bottle may fill her up instead of falling asleep on my boob.
Can I ask a quick question? Are you all able to put your d's in the cot drowsy where they then fall asleep? Please someone tell me 'no'

DP just came in the room with dd as she falls asleep as soon as he picks her up but then wakes when put down. Roll on CC as much as I hate to do it if things dont improve come 6-7 months I think im going to have to.

codswallop · 24/09/2004 20:12

I like the " crikey" ont his

Egypt · 24/09/2004 20:20

oh kbaby. its horrible isnt it. dd has been like this for a few nights. has she just started? she used to go down ok didnt she?
i can RARELY put dd down drowsy and she'll asleep. i always tend to bf her until she's out of it. bad habit? i hope not. we'll see.

not sure if pink classic is ok with my boy hmmm
anyways i forgot that i've got a grobag so i never used it so far!! but i'll try and see how lo is getting on with it ...

hey kbaby: wow la and hawaii .. nice choices! so i take it without family? nothing wrong about having a nice cosy wedding

and mostly DS gets put to bed sleepy but awake. he whines for about 10 min and then he's gone. or even less - we've done that ever since he was a few weeks old and works quite well.
only when he was ill i carried him around more. but we are back to "normal"
sometimes i've got to stand there and shhhhh him or even stroke his face or back. but once he's soothed and rolled on his side i know he'll be gone soon.

SusiS · 24/09/2004 20:35

oh what a nice evening!!!
just finished off our pizza and now watching tv with dp and enjoying a glass of wine

Egypt · 24/09/2004 20:36

okey dokey. we had poppers on dd's newborn. they were fine. she hates having her arms shoved through armholes, especially at grumpy time of night. having zips this time though as for 12.99 dont have a choice!

anyone else????????? still got a few pennies to spend

Egypt · 24/09/2004 20:38

thats good at bedtime susi. i dont manage to wait 10 mins when she whinges. actually, she doesnt winge she outright cries, so i go in. might try my v v v best to leave her a bit longer as am worried am making a rod and all that

dont blame you. we bought a new dryer too! i'm gonna wait and see if they get any more in.

SusiS · 24/09/2004 21:03

i don't like him whinging either. but i know now that it's his way of falling asleep. i know the sound. - when he is crying i sure go and have a look!! - was still hard so at the beginning, every time a minute longer to wait and see if he'd settle ... but he learnt quickly

twiglett: DS doesn't get bathed every day. sometimes he is way too tired then i don't want to stress him with a bath. just a quick wash and off he goes ...

but i guess since you are a second-time-mum things are getting much easier - or you just see it easier
