explaining gay sex

My nearly 10 year old ds has just asked me how 2 men can have sex bloody Coronation street I explained the sex thing to him a couple of years ago, I subtly cowardly changed the subject, but I could see he was pondering the 'mechanics' he then seemed to have a 'light bulb' moment and hit the nail on the head, I confirmed he was correct, he didn't seem particularly perturbed and has gone to bed to finish Gangsta Granny!

Has anyone else had this question at such a young age? I feel like the very basics of sex is enough at 10 but it seems like everything is happening younger nowadays Hmm

You're a bloody idiot or a troll, nigella. How fucking offensive can you get? Have you led an extremely sheltered life or something?
Hang on - was it you who started that horrific "village paedo" thread about the chap with Learning difficulties?
If so, I hope to fuck I live nowhere near you.
(Yes bad form referring to previous threads, etc)

Nigella I'm really shocked at your post! You always seemed so sensible

Yep JonSnow the one and same.

Nigella and glucose- why don't you fuck off back under whatever stone you can out from?

OP- very many gay men never have anal sex- and very many straight men do. There are as many ways for two men to have sexual experiences together as there are for a man and a woman.

okok i apologise if i have offended anyone! yes i am 'sensible' of course, nonetheless we cannot pretend that these things do not happen.
like i say, be all right on and send your unaccompanied son into public loos in Carnaby st or wherever, jsut carry on.
i really do not mean to offend anyone, nor do i think that gay men must be pedophiles.

Nigella I feel sorry for your son. You know he's going to have a horrifically distorted view of gay men now? Men having sex isn't wrong and I'm sorry but I've never known them to engage in it in vile public toilets!

I have been sending my DSs unaccompanied into male loos for years. But we live in Worcestershire so that must be ok. Confused

Too much love for George Michael there, Nigella?

Your views are offensive

To actually answer the OP's question, you did the right thing. If they ask you a straight question, you should give a straight answer, end of. My 7 yo asked me something similar recently. I like the fact that he feels able to.

I don't like him going into public loos on his own either, mainly because I have an irrational fear that he will get locked in Blush, not because I assume that men's loos are peopled by molesters lurking in the cubicles. And even if I did think that, I would bloody well keep it to myself rather than frightening a child unnecessarily.

maybe it is different in the city, i don't know, certainly i heard of it a lot in London, sorry for being so warped. and in Brighton. and in Dublin where my dad comes from. so yeh i am probably weird being used to that kind of idea.
and no my son does not have a warped view of gay men, some of our friends are gay.

Er I don't think you quite read my post..there is no need to swear at me...perhaps you misinterpreted it...I suggest you find a sense of humour as the poor OP has had to explain something that she found tricky...and sometimes seeing the funny side helps. Clearly you have issues around your sexuality to react in such an explosive manner.

Belle, I had the sex talk with DS a few months ago when he was 6yo. I say talk, I mean I brought the subject up (discovered he had searched "sex" on YouTubeShock ) and asked him what he wanted to know.

About 50 questions inHmm he asked how gay people had sex. I told him that they do sexy touching and kissing with eachother.

My DH has been using public loos for ever

He has never reproved back on multitudes of men having sex in them

I wonder why Hmm

Whwt did you hear a lot of in London and Brighton, Nigella? Hordes of gay men anally raping 8 year old boys in public loos? Have you put this idea to your many gay friends?

Report
NigellasDealer · 17/03/2014 21:38

ok it never happens, it is just a figment of my tortured imagination, and is probably due to my homophobia and lack of political awareness ok?
as you were.

Nigella don't take this the wrong way it's a genuine question, would you also not be concerned about lesbians having sex in the ladies loos?
