rang child protection services about ds

....social worker just rang me back...thinks there are grounds to investigate further.

im in proper full on shock...not as bad as last night,but still shaking abit and i feel like its happening to someone else...a bit detached...functioning but not with it....

my ds...three this sept...was creepily sexually expilicit last night .i wont sya what he said cos im feeling cautious.

something about the context ,manner...his choice of words...his choice of verb...immediately waved a red flag for me.oh god i feel so so sick.

he's being tretaed for herpes!!...oh god...so is also under the weather...so is clingy and unpredictable,tearful and cranky...its so hard to THINK.

he has been 'a bit funny' of recent weeks but its so hard to keep the big picture in mind...and stay ratioanl etc etc...hes two...they are all cranky weirdos from time to time...get tired etc ?no?

social worker said all the right things....i am putting alot of faith in them at the moment.

Oh gosh beans, that is worrying. Hopefully it's what someone said and he has picked it up from telly.
How did he get herpes? Just if that has any link.

he has sores on his mouth and face and something on his penis ....which the dr cannot be sure is the same thing because he has scratched it and there are no blisters left.

i just feel so sick its indescribable

Did the dr say how he caught it?

Oh beans you poor poor thing! If something horrible has happened to him take heart in the fact that he is so little now he may well have no memory of it, poor little chap

the dr can only really speculate....he did say that drs used to think that that cold sores you get on your mouth couldnt be spread to the genitals ...but that has changed now (something to do with the test i think)

so i suppose he was saying that someone with a mouth cold sore could have given him the cold sores in either area....and obviously .......deeeeep breath th eother way round oh my god

he was very concerned.

Oh God beansontoast, I so would not be calm right now. When will you see social worker?

oh th epositives in this f'ed up situation are that he's no longer at risk now that he's said what he said to me... because i wont send him 'there'anymore...

and also he is still weeny (crying now)so wont remember/???

and there are no awful physical sign/s of anything nasty...

i have been clamer tahn this earlier...i think im just letting it all out...

Let it all out beans, better to get it all out i the open instead of bottling it all up.

you're a brave mommy, I'd be a mess right now. Has he spoken about anything? My dd1 is around the same age so I'm shocked about him being sexually explicit as I can't imagine DD saying anything with sexual content but I really really hope that it's something he's overheard or telly. many many hugs for you and for him xxxx

the socail worker called me earlier....had a little chat ...siad she felt there were things that need further investigation.she was very gentle with me....my big fear was that it would all happen really quickly and i was so scared of the process (not knowing much aboutit really)....anyway she will speak to me again later today to tell me what her manager has decided to do next.

she asked me for my hunches,...
like a weirdo i kept talking really subjectively going on and on about one aspect which really gave me the 'fear'...and she kept getting me back on track...
im expecting her call now...so im on mumsnet.thank frick.

I know it's easilly said but don't panic too much, your mind is bound to be going round and round in circles and there might be a simple explanation although obviously we don't know the context of all this so it's easy to speculate. I understand how you feel though unfortunately and you need to keep talking so keep posting to get it all off your chest. xx

Like you say it is a good thing he has told you, as you can keep him away from the situation.
