Hi Wilt,
Good thinking.....the other one is getting abit long.

How's max? have you been to the hospital yet? I think I saw a report on the news about the hosp, I assume it's the same one.

The Doc on the news said that the risk of infection was very small and that there would need to be around 8 hrs of continual contact to be at risk. I expect you already know this but I did think of you when I heard it so thought I'd post it here for you.

Beccarollo · 13/12/2003 09:08

Hi Chucks
I think im going to print out and keep the last sept babies thread, it makes intersting reading when you read back from the beginning and will be nice to put in Harveys memory box!! Might have to tippex out the bits slagging off his Daddy though

On the Daddy note, things are MUCH better, we (touch wood) seemed to have stopped the viscious circle or resentment, arguing and misery and seem to be on the up.

Hows it going?

Becca

emmatmg · 15/12/2003 21:01

Does every one else wish that time would slow down abit?
Everytime I look at James he seems to have grown, I can not believe he's going to be 3 months in a few days, where have those months gone? I could cry at losing those early days again, with a tiny newborn all bundled up in a tight ball in your arms.
He's such a lovely baby, starting to do (almost) proper little chuckles and gets all excited when I talk to him, Oh and his smile........well it's melts my heart from a hundred paces.

It's all just going too fast. Everytime I see a PG woman I honestly feel jealous. I'd have another one tomorrow if Dh agreed.

I'm so enjoying every minute of this and would recommend have 3 any day. It's great.

emmatmg · 15/12/2003 21:03

Can you all tell that I'm having a good day after all the trouble with DS1 earlier this month.
Things are looking up......HOO-RAH

emmatmg · 15/12/2003 21:20

BTW Becca, wilt and anyone else who I've chatted with in the MSN messenger thingy.....mines fuc*ed up so please don't think I'm being antisocial by not signing in.

We installed an anti-virus thing and it's been buggered ever since.

adell · 15/12/2003 21:34

Hope all Mums & babes are well and getting some sleep.

Joseph had his first night away from home this weekend and was a total star. Slept beautifully in his travel cot and had a great time watching all the older children running around. Went to a party and met another Sept Mum - not for long though, she had to get back and do her 10.30pm feed as instructed by Gina!

I can't believe how fast the time is going. I found it really stressful first time round, this has been so different, I'm actually enjoying it and wouldn't have waited so long if I'd have known what it could be like. I know I'm not having another so I do wish time wouldn't go so fast.

House is about to descend into further chaos than normal, new heating system going in. The grand opening of the new system is supposed to be 12pm Christmas Eve - same time as Mum & brother are arriving to have Christmas dinner a day early. Hope the chippie opens on Christmas Eve!

emmatmg · 15/12/2003 22:09

please ignore my MSN messenger post as I....yes I have sorted out the problem. HOO RAH
I am a genius..........can't actually tell you how I sorted it but doesn't really matter does it?!?

Beccarollo · 15/12/2003 22:59

Yep, I feel VERY sad at how fast Harvey is growing, I could weep when I think of him as a newborn but on the other hand its lovely watching him grow, giggle and smile - your right emma they melt your heart dont they!

Id love another BABY but trouble is they grow into pesky 4 year olds that Im struggling to control so while some days I think Ill have at least one more others Im like "2 is enough for me!"

Hope your all well
x

Aaah much quicker to type on this one. Well Max won't find out if he has TB until about Friday. Thats nice eh? I doubt very much if he has. Lets face it, he was exposed nearly 3 months ago, had a chest xray (which was clear) and is not coughing up blood or showing any other signs apart from a bad chest. We shall see. I wish all of us sept mums lived around the corner from each other, I could do with meeting some other mums apart from virtually. Maybe we could meet up in Feb 2012 or something

OP posts:
wiltshire · 16/12/2003 00:24

Oh and am I only mum that wished she was back at work and max could speak.

OP posts:
Beccarollo · 16/12/2003 08:29

Where abouts are you wilt?
Nope Im sure your not the only one who wishes they were back at work sometimes, or on the moon, or living in remote island on her own, or on a beach on a tropical island - ahhhhhhhhh we can but dream

Take care

adell · 16/12/2003 08:31

Wiltshire, you sound like me 5 years ago. It IS going to get better, I promise. BTW, once they do start speaking there are many times you wish they wouldn't ! My HV found me a local Mum with a baby the same age & we saved each other's sanity (only useful thing HV did). She was round the other day and we were remembering how we both used to be desperate for Fridays which is when we met up.

emmatmg · 18/12/2003 20:21

Has everyone elses periods returned now?
Are they any different to before our little ones arrived?
I've had the first one and was over the moon at how easy it was, no pain, quite light, and not too long(longer than usual but as it was after having a baby I'm still pleased)

Well it seems the bastard things aren't going to give me an easy time after all! I've had the same pains as I used to have, except before I only got them once IT had arrived and theres no sign of anything yet.
I used to be be in agony every month during the days IT was here. Somedays I couldn't even stand as my insides felt like they were about to fall out of my Laalaa. Nothing that I can buy over the counter at the chemist made a bit of difference either.
I'm gutted that it looks like they are going to be even worse.
It look like mothernature will let me have easy pregnancies and births but when it comes to periods she must hate my guts.......The bitch!

BeccaBigBaubles · 18/12/2003 20:38

On the subject of periods, mine came back about 6/7 weeks ago and I havent had one since

Please cross your fingers it turns up soon!

emmatmg · 18/12/2003 20:57

Oh blimey becca........keeping them crossed!

BeccaBigBaubles · 18/12/2003 20:59

Thanks Emma

Im hoping (hope against hope against hope against hope) its just taking a while to regulate and all to do with the effects of breastfeeding!!!

Bekki · 18/12/2003 21:05

Wilt, its a pain in the arse when you've got no other mothers around you to keep you sane. If its any consolation its easier when you have a second baby, because you're far too busy running backwards and forwards to playgroup to notice the boredom.
I think its impossible for a meet-up but a meet-up on messenger, once a week? I suppose it all gets a bit confusing though, especially with my typos. Hmm something to think about.
I've got no periods! I'm as happy as can be. Its been over a year now! I'm actually singing that btw. Sorry about yours Emma. Mine are normally very heavy and long, although thankfully never painful. My periods normally last 8-9 days and I only found out recently that the norm is 4 days!

Bekki · 18/12/2003 21:07

Oooh Becca a 5 year old, a 1 year old and a newborn wouldn't that be fun!

BeccaBigBaubles · 18/12/2003 21:13

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr not not really!!!!!!! I cant imagine - it would be the pregnancy I would dread most, I found it very hard feeling so dreadful and still having to take care of Meg never mind meg AND harvey!

Plus I live in a shoebox

emmatmg · 18/12/2003 21:21

Have you done a test?

More to the point..do you want too?

Bekki · 18/12/2003 21:27

In my heart I'd love another but my head and dh says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Would you prefer a boy or girl this time around Becca , obviously I would be going for a girl.

BeccaBigBaubles · 18/12/2003 21:28

STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP !!!!

Im SURE I cant be

IF I was Id like another boy I think not sure

IF I was Id go into denail until the head crowned

princessinapeartree · 18/12/2003 21:49

stop teasing poor becca!
becca I had my 1st period about 6 weeks after babe and am usually regular as clockwork. my next one wasn't until 13 weeks. So don't worry!

And I assume you've been using contraception anyway? If not..... well, then anything is possible!
