I am a single parent, two DC's at home, 2 at uni themselves.

Going into 2nd year and starting to panic about how I'm going to juggle everything Smile

Anyone else?

fluffythevampirestabber · 19/10/2011 12:22

I'm the same. It's so much much tougher this year. Feels like there's twice as much reading Hmm

MutilatedSiarghhhhn · 19/10/2011 12:31

Still feeling a bit crap =[.
No work again today!

I should probably be stressed too but I don't have the energy xD.

But just think once you have done all the cooking, and sorting and MNing you will have no excuse but to do your work.
Well... you may need to try and block MN or something.

fluffythevampirestabber · 19/10/2011 12:39

Sian - sorry you're still feeling crap.

I will have no excuses tomorrow. Lecture is cancelled so I am at home kidless all day and all night

I keep making noises about going into Uni to study as always something else to. watch, eat do at home. But then I can never be arsed. I am forcing myself to do an hour now. (famous last words)

fluffythevampirestabber · 19/10/2011 12:48

I have texted my mate and organised to go in tomorrow anyway and meet for lunch and I'll go to the library and work and I won't be tempted to go and see The Upgrade tomorrow night no I won't oh no not me

MissMunsterMogwi · 19/10/2011 14:31

Right I've done nearly two hours that will do me for a bit. Did a good bit actually.

I have been a grown up and done the hardest essay first, otherwise I end up going a bit mad, having nightmares about it and talking to random parents at the school gates about it. GrinBlush

fluffythevampirestabber · 19/10/2011 14:33

Grin me too Blush

MetalSian · 20/10/2011 09:07

I'm hoping to actually get soe work done today as will be going to my parents.
Then again my head is still banging.

So much for getting more work done over the half term... will have to make up for it next week.

fluffythevampirestabber · 20/10/2011 09:13

Well today's a wash out for me I think. I'm going to try to work but it's DD1's birthday and her twin had died in utero so it's also the anniversary of her death and for some reason it has hit me so so hard this year. So it's tissues, coffee, sniffles and maybe a bath and a sleep.

Mine are off on half term next week and logistically it's going to be a nightmare.

MissMunsterMogwi · 20/10/2011 09:28

Oh Fluffy I'm sorry. Must be a very bittersweet day for you. Be kind to yourself today, hope you are ok. ((hugs)) I think they are allowed today.

It's my DD1 birthday too, we had cake this morning as at her dads tonight so I've just eaten a another piece for breakfast. Can't believe she's 10.

fluffythevampirestabber · 20/10/2011 09:31

I forgot about your DD - how did the sleepover go in the end?

I'm fine, normally I'm a lot less affected but this year it has hit me much much more than usual. Dunno why. I was going to try to work but it's pointless it'd just not go in.

So I'm having coffee and chocolate instead Wink

MissMunsterMogwi · 20/10/2011 09:43

It was good, they had a good time. I was a bit lot nackered the next day but soldiered on(trooper) Grin

Nah, have a day off today. Do something nice and relaxing.

fluffythevampirestabber · 20/10/2011 09:47

I will be later Grin The Upgrade is coming to visit (was going to spell that differently but that would be rude so I restrained myself)

MetalSian · 20/10/2011 13:47

Happy Birthday to your DC's miss and fluff.
And sorry to hear about your DD's twin =[.

Oh it did make me smile he is now 'The Upgrade' xD!

I never manage to do work in the day with DS, he is only 2 so a bit of a monster, so I know what you mean about half term.
Then again he did just point to his ear, saying 'Spider, spider'.
It made me laugh, I don't think he actually has a spider in his ear, but I think I would miss his stupid comments if I sent him off whilst I did work xD.

MissMunsterMogwi · 21/10/2011 09:08

Hope you are feeling ok today Fluffy and had a nicer evening Wink, and that you are feeling better Sian

Half term for my two next week, so having to farm the kids out to my mum and their dad while at Uni. Think I'm going to put them in the after school club when they go back, as XP acting as though he's giving me a kidney by having them. I'd rather pay than be at his mercy.

fluffythevampirestabber · 21/10/2011 09:10

Go girl Grin

I had a lovely evening thank you very much Wink

I hate that I have to rely on XH - there's no after school club for DD2 and DD1 acts like she's being asked to donate a kidney if she has to walk home to mine Wink

Today I am studying ALL day (well once I have another coffee and get a shower)

MissMunsterMogwi · 23/10/2011 12:51

Roll up roll up.
It's Sunday, it's kid free time. I'm getting my essay on. Who's with me?

That's a bit jolly, so I will add that I hate bastarding referencing. Hate it I tell you. Angry

fluffythevampirestabber · 23/10/2011 17:16

I fucking hate fucking bastard referencing as well. And if you don't get it right you lost stupid marks Angry

MissMunsterMogwi · 23/10/2011 20:46

I still hate it. Angry

Got an unexpected child free night. What am I doing?
Reading a poem and making notes. Sad.

fluffythevampirestabber · 23/10/2011 20:57

I am doing the democratic deficit in the EU so I'm not any better

MetalSian · 24/10/2011 17:42

So half term... and I have to still go in.
But on the plus side I got about 2.5 hours of interuption free work done!

I still have to pay half my sons nursery fee even if he doesn't go in so thought I would go in anyway.
The 10.05 train was much nicer than the 7.36 though =].

fluffythevampirestabber · 24/10/2011 19:48

Oh that would be so nice. Not to have to go in I mean.

I hate the early starts on a Monday morning. Weather here is foul really really foul flooded roads and it's still raining.

Tomorrow morning will be fun Hmm

I appear to have been bulldozed asked to take part in a moot competition. Which requires effort.

And I still have to try to do my assignments for this term. And the kids are off next week so there's no chance of working much then.

MissMunsterMogwi · 24/10/2011 20:02

Hi all,

What's a moot competition?

I've got another essay to do for fri, then one for the Friday after. Kids are off this week so have to work while they are in bed. Referencing doing my shed in.

They stayed at their dads last night and I was very tempted to bunk off this morning. But I didn't, I soldiered on.

fluffythevampirestabber · 24/10/2011 20:06

It's like a pretend court where they give you a scenario and you have to pretend you're in court and argue it and I'm shitting myself.

MissMunsterMogwi · 24/10/2011 20:41

Ooo, no pressure then! I bet you will be great, although I would be bricking it too!
