You that stress where you get so stressed that you become almost paralysed, like a rabbit in the headlights?

That's me.

I'm procrastinating big time.

In fact, even though I have the house to myself and a deadline looming and nothing done, I'm going to watch John Simm on BBC iplayer right now Blush

I did The Prelude at school. It's not really my cup of tea, all that purple prose, cottages, clouds, hello sun, hello moon, hello sky business...

winnybella · 25/05/2011 19:43

Badly. As in not doing. Waiting for kids to go to bed and then will write all night.

Yay Hmm

MrsShrekTheThird · 25/05/2011 20:26

Good, good, proles.

Bloody DCs just went to bed. I have all the books here, Word doc open and strong tea.

Right. I will not be able to write it to high standard, so might as well resign myself to just writing something that will get a pass. Ridiculous really, I love 19th C. literature, how did I fuck it up so badly? Arrgh.

winnybella · 25/05/2011 21:15

Thanks, MrsShrek Smile

Starting is the hardest thing...

winnybella · 25/05/2011 21:53

Ok, I've done (v.long) bibliography.

Now just need to write about 3,500 words that make sense.

Crap. Having booked extra childcare today, I'm wasting my time looking online at hosepipes and lawn care eqpt Hmm you'd be even more Hmm if you saw the size of our lawn...postage stamp doesn't begin to cover it.

Also have procrastinated by cleaning the hall and stairs...

Now going to make strong Brew and force myself to work. It's not revising since most of the material is stuff I skipped. I guess this is what you would call cramming then?

I keep starting lists: Form, Metre, Alliteration etc etc...but not actually doing the actual looking at the poem itself. Right...oooh is it lunchtime yet?

AnnieLobeseder · 27/05/2011 09:13

Now why is this the first I've seen of this thread! I'm a world champion of procrastination. I'm currently MNing while watching Grey's Anatomy, when what I really should be doing is finishing up a presentation for Tuesday. At least I have it open and have actually done a few changes this morning.

tomhardyismydh · 27/05/2011 12:05

tutor emailed me back she said dont sweat it wont be marking untill monday...v v v cool tutor, so had a cuppa and pressed submit Grin

Annie procrastinate no more you have found your motivation. now log off turn tele off and get to work on that presentation young lady. Wink

I have actually been working quite hard today and have made some lovely pictures.... usually I'm crap at working from home - I do much better when I go into work (aka school - it's complicated). But I'm waiting at home for my new phone. No sign of it yet....

tomhardyismydh · 27/05/2011 12:21
