You that stress where you get so stressed that you become almost paralysed, like a rabbit in the headlights?

That's me.

I'm procrastinating big time.

In fact, even though I have the house to myself and a deadline looming and nothing done, I'm going to watch John Simm on BBC iplayer right now Blush

Well, I finally got started.

535 words so far. Not bad - have until Weds, and only started writing this morning so to be 25% done is a good thing.

I am so relieved to have actually got started.

I kept changing my chosen texts but am now happy with my selection, they seem to fit.

itsabiggy we're not all finished on the May thread just yet Grin good luck with your work this weekend !

itsabiggywhatdoidonow · 13/05/2011 13:26

thats a relife, well done wildstrabs. 25% sounds good

wildstrawberryplace · 13/05/2011 18:47

915 words today (an intro and 1 of the three texts dealt with).

Going to go to bed early tonight, DH is away from today and we didn't get much sleep last night as DC awake during the night and up for the day at dawn Hmm

Still, think I can deal with another text tomorrow night and Sunday night, leaving Monday and Tuesday for the final text and conclusion and trimming and referencing etc.

Should be OK, think it is doable.

How's everyone else fixed for the weekend?

Good job, WSP!
DP at work today and DD at her whingest self all day. Have just sat down but she keeps on throwing toys out of her cot and then scream "oh, poor Noddy, oh poor, poor bunny" Hmm Angry
I will make a final selection of the texts I'll be using and perhaps highlight the issues/make a plan.
Then DP takes DD out tomorrow in the morning and I'll go out on Sunday for half a day and hopefully write in a cafe. Monday evening (and night, most probably) I would like to finish a first draft and Tuesday evening edit and submit.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

keynesian · 15/05/2011 09:59

Thanks Prolesworth. It went ok I think, and the time flew by! So much for thinking I'd have plenty of time for re-checking calculations in the last fifteen minutes...

Today I should be doing an OU assignment so I'm gardening and going for a bike ride, but I'll be thinking about the OU assignment so that's ok isn't it?!

winnybella · 15/05/2011 10:53

Glad it went well, keynesian Smile

I, otoh, haven't even started and it's due in 2 days...I have a stinking cold, feel like my head is stuffed with cotton wool. 4000 words.2 days. Should I panic yet?

winnybella · 15/05/2011 14:15

0 words. Fuck fuck fuck.

Rough idea, yes, but no definite plan. It's about integration of individual into society in early and late 19th C novels. Have chosen the novels, know more or less what arguments I'll use, but at the same time I feel I could answer the q in 1000 words iyswim- 4000????

Oh, what a mess. Can't get extension for this one as it's the last one.
