You that stress where you get so stressed that you become almost paralysed, like a rabbit in the headlights?

That's me.

I'm procrastinating big time.

In fact, even though I have the house to myself and a deadline looming and nothing done, I'm going to watch John Simm on BBC iplayer right now Blush

Oh, and do you know by any chance where do you go in Word to change language preferences? It's underlining everything in red, as it's in a French mode.

Thanks. I don't feel well prepared, tbh. Ok, enough moaning. Have to write at least 2000 words today as DP goes to work tomorrow and then leaves for London on Tuesday morning.

I'm feeling very sorry for myself even though I know it's self-inflicted Grin

winnybella · 15/05/2011 14:39

Ah, no, Proles, you always end up submitting yours, at least. And getting good marks for them.

Yes, yes

Fixed Word, that's a start at least Hmm

wildstrawberryplace · 15/05/2011 15:12

You can do it Winny. You know how it is, once you start actually writing it gets a lot easier.

Have you got child free time during the next few days, or are you going to be burning the midnight oil?

I've still got half of mine to do as well so you're not alone.

Have you got a plan written out?

Time for a cup of hot lava java Brew?

OP posts:
winnybella · 15/05/2011 15:53

Had two v.strong Brew in the last 30 minutes, am shaking a bit Grin

426 words- but that's just a sort of plan for the first text- will obv. need to elaborate and add quotations, look up critics etc etc

No, no child-free time- well, 2,5 hrs tomorrow morning and on Tuesday as will send DD to playgroup. Have tonight, tomorrow night and Tuesday night (as will make use of the grace period)

Well done,wsp- only half left Smile

Feel so woozy Sad
Had a good think about what exactly do I want to say (as that's really the hardest part, obv). Am about to get in a bath and just relax and go to bed early (ish).
Wish me luck for tomorrow and any tips would be welcome.

MrsShrekTheThird · 15/05/2011 21:19

wishing you lots of luck ( and lots of Brew ) Winny!
You can do it (any hope of an extension? - sorry if that's already been had as a convo)

MrsShrekTheThird · 15/05/2011 21:21

oh btw I need to start a 2000 which I was planning on doing two days ago, before a chest infection hit me and sent me to bed Shock for two days (didnt even do that after producing any of the three dc) Am off work for a couple of days so hope to make up some words time Hmm

winnybella · 15/05/2011 21:23

Thank you.
No hope of an extension as it's the last tma of the course. I suppose if I begged I might get a few days more as my tutor is lovely, but I already have asked for it for almost every assignment this year so would feel ashamed to ask again.

winnybella · 15/05/2011 21:25

Oh, good luck Smile Are you ok, though, with only a couple days off with a chest infection ? Shock What is a chest infection, anyway? Bronchitis, pneumonia?

I'm drinking beer now. My bath is getting cold. I can't even get into a bath on time, fgs Hmm

MrsShrekTheThird · 15/05/2011 21:30

well if it's the last one then surely your tutor will be upset if you don't ask for one Wink

might be more than a couple of days off, depends if my assignment gets done whether I'm better in a few days. And as for the chest thingy, well....Last one turned into pneumonia, would rather this one didn't Grin

winnybella · 16/05/2011 07:34

Oh, poor you. I hate being ill. Woke up with blocked up nose and earache, argh (obv. not so bad as chest infection).
Haven't done much last night as felt so awful. DD goes to playgroup for 2,5 hrs in 30m so I'll use that time and than it'll be all night tonight, I guess. I can't write with her around.
So 2,5 hrs this morning, same tomorrow morning and tonight and tomorrow night til 1am. 4000 bloody words.

winnybella · 16/05/2011 10:22

I have just asked for a wee extension, but as it's the last tma of the course, I'm very hopefull it'll be granted, tbh.

Ugh, I feel awful, have an earache now, too.

winnybella · 16/05/2011 10:22

Which I have already mentioned in a previous post. Can't bloody think today.

wildstrawberryplace · 16/05/2011 11:31

Crap. No child free time now. DS is home sick (poor thing). Ah well. Should have been better organised earlier in the month.

Good luck winny and MrsShrek, it's amazing what you can still achieve when you think you're at your lowest ebb.

Oh no. When is it due? Wednesday? Have you done most of it?

I got an extension! Phew. I LOVE my tutor.

wildstrawberryplace · 16/05/2011 12:35

Tuesday evening. Haven't really done most of it, but like you say, I know what I want to say so that's actually "most" of it really. Just doing bursts of writing while DS watches Laurel and Hardy DVDs.

OP posts:
wildstrawberryplace · 16/05/2011 12:36

Hey good news about yr extension. When's your new deadline? Can you afford to take a bit of time to shake off yr illness?
