Mmm no think that must if been someone else!

Thats fab that you have secured some work on a maternity unit..so hard to get.

Im hoping ill be able to start uni too once my youngest starts school..but having guilt pangs at the thought of having to leave the children with minders etc to cover the shifts..but like to say should all be worth it in the long run Smile

Grr used a disposible last night cause Connor was very sore (teething poos) and I wanted to cover him in cream. Got up in the morning, did his milk first as he was starving only to find the nappy had burst and gel crystals were everywhere! He had walked it all round the living room aswell.

Hi all,
wonder if you ladies have any pointers on stains............
my fleece liners and cooababy are looking worse for wear.
Thanks in advance

mumface · 03/11/2010 07:55

Kf- leave them out in the sun to bleach for a day or 2 (if you manage to find any sun)

Hello people I'm still around Smile What's every one up to. I'm in such a good little routine with my nappies not been much to say. Still waiting on Superundies nights. Itti Bittis in the day and am now using Bambooty nights on Connor and dispo pull ups on Lewis as nothing else working.

Hi I have some crinkly motherease and they are really rough. Am I right in thinking that if I rinse them with vinegar it will get rid of the scratchy roughness??

Also they are starting to get a bit small. I fasten them with only 1 prestud at each side now. She is 26 months is it worth getting something bigger, and if so what is bigger?

Ariela · 08/11/2010 00:25

Just a little vinegar will - or if you have a tumble drier, dampen a cloth and stick them in for 10 minutes.

Don't worry about buying something new, get that potty out and get her copying you when you go to the loo, and buy some extenders. Should save you a fortune!

joymaker · 08/11/2010 12:26

Hi All

Want to purchase more new bitti d'lish where's the cheapest place? (DP is starting to raise brow on nappy expenditure) Thanks

Debs75 · 09/11/2010 10:26

Thanks for the limk. Have nappies coming out of our ears so will try the extenders.
Have tried the dryer and it makes them worse so wil try the vinegar. Is 20ml about right

ziggyf · 09/11/2010 12:03

hellooo! ariela - never seen the extenders before, what a good find!

joy - think jabula are doing 2 for £22, 3 for £33 etc? They were a while ago anyway!

mumface - you tried the nighttime undies yet? What do you think? They work pretty well for my son but the mediums are a bit big for him (he's 3 but skinny). Still haven't tried the daytime ones as I'm hoping he'll come out of his wee-accident phase soon Hmm I'm selling my Tuttos too, they are always the last ones I reach for even though they work quite well so it's time for them to go....

myjob - I love Z's easyfits! Haven't got the flower one but love the mushroom magic Grin

I'm on the look-out for a good, pretty PUL wrap to use over old-style bamboozles - anyone got any suggestions? I'm finding that AIOs/SIOs wick at the legs when Z is in the sling so I'm using Bamboozles more these days. He's about to move out of his medium Rikki's and I'd rather get different wraps this time as the ME patterns are so boring! Any ideas? I like the look of the Thirsties Duo and Weehuggers wraps, anyone tried them?

ziggyf · 09/11/2010 12:05

Ooh, just had to share too (no-one in real life gets excited about these things!) - I'm going to try wool for the first time tonight! Got some Snugglepants longies that I've lanolised - hope I've done it right! - and we're going for it tonight. Wish me luck!

ziggyf · 10/11/2010 08:49

Wool experiment was a disaster Sad He was wet through by 11.30. I'm so disappointed as they looked so comfy and snuggly before he went to bed.

mumface · 11/11/2010 13:02

Ziggy- Wonder why the Snugglepants didn't work? Sad
I have tried the superundies nights and I wished I'd gone for large even though the med daytime ones are perfect these seem tighter on the thigh on Lewis. I like them a lot buy the price seems to have gone up a lot since we pre-ordered these.

My washing machine died on me last night and no replacement for a week so have had to buy disposibles.

Debs75 · 11/11/2010 13:06

I need some more disposable liners. I got some really comfy ones from a woman on ebay but she can't remember where she got them from. They are on a roll and dimpled on one side. If you're caught short they make lovely loo roll.
Does anyone know what I'm on about and where I can find them?

Ziggy you are braver then me I daren't put them in cloth overnight so we always have a supply of disposables in.

ziggyf · 11/11/2010 13:26

Debs - I like the Bambinex liners but they are being discontinued which is a pain. Would be interested to find out about the ones you are talking about, they sound great. Cloth at night is fine actually, we've not had many problems with fleece or PUL wraps but I really fancied trying wool as they look so comfy and are warm which is a bonus in our chilly house!

mumface - have you tried wool at night before? Some girls on a different forum suggested trying a more absorbent night nappy so I've ordered a weenotions night notion to try. What did you use at night?

Argh, better go we're going to soft play soon and neither boy is dressed after our messy lunch....

ziggyf · 11/11/2010 13:27

mumface - did the superundies hold all L's night time wee? We've had a couple of wet mornings but I'm fairly sure it's because of his morning super-wee! He used to do it when he was in nappies too and the morning wee was so enormous that we struggled to contain it!

mumface · 11/11/2010 20:31

I did use Snugglepants and never had a leak, I used Weenotions and bedbugs underneath. That was before weaning. My youngest is a very light wetter now though.
I use Bambooty nights, minkee magic-alls or Drybees fleece on Connor and on Lewis dispo pull-ups. I found the Superundies slightly damp around fleece cuffs but not leaking as such. I do put the boys in fleece pyjamas (about £3 a pair from Primark) so not sure if that helps aswell.

OP posts:
ziggyf · 11/11/2010 20:55

Fleece PJ's are a genius idea! Don't think there's a primark round here though. Will have to look online, do they have an online store?

I like the look of bedbugs but they are soooo expensive! I've gone for the cheapest WNNN then will treat myself my youngest to a few if they work.

Do you think the SU's are a bit damp round the cuffs because they are a little tight on the legs?

mumface · 11/11/2010 21:58

Yes I bet it is because of the tightness around the legs, compression wicking. I don't think you can buy Primark online. I have noticed though that some of the newer batch of fleece pyjamas are much thinner cheaper fleece than those I've bought before and don't wash as nicely.

Am really missing cloth hate using these disposable ones- It's like eating my dinner off a paper plate, feels like such a waste! Connor caught his nappy on side of clothes airer and it ripped and all these horrible gel beads spilled all over the carpet. New machine coming on Monday now.
