Rachel linked to these nappies on another forum, im very tempted to get one as they have some lovely prints!

mumface · 08/08/2010 10:58

They do look nice, don't they and a bargain. I think someone on here said they had to be washed at 30 though or they delaminate.

OP posts:
4andnotout · 08/08/2010 11:03

As we suspencted the tutto is a onesized nappy

Hmm 30 degreee washes dont happen in my house, i suppose for £3 it wouldnt hurt to try though...

Ooo 4 diff sizes and a poo guard. Wonder if the biggest setting is more like an xl. Lewis grew out of the larges at 2 and a half, and he was still in nappies for another year.

4andnotout · 08/08/2010 11:23

Maisy-Rae's larges were getting too short in the rise when she toilet trained at 25 months, if she had been any later i dont think they would have fitted, dp tried Tilly-Grace in knickers yesterday but she isnt ready yet

mumface · 08/08/2010 12:04

Aw we've got to wait till September to try them Sad

I might order a Tutto from Australia, they have a 20% off and free snap in soaker deal. By the time it arrives they will probably be over here!

OP posts:
steph1512 · 08/08/2010 12:51

wonder how much shipping is though!

steph1512 · 08/08/2010 12:55

have to say im really liking my bumgenius although not very exciting i complete relax when they are on as they never leak not even bf poo!

Love my ittis, but find myself double checking he isnt wet at the top or poo leaking out of edges.

Tutto looks fab as would solve all of this but cant see me getting away with ordering many more nappies!!

Anyone no how much the tutto will be? Im thinking alot Sad

mumface · 08/08/2010 13:24

Reckon it will be around £20 mark. Looks like changes made already on the design. Detatchable hip snap covers in one batch, attatched ones on the new lot. Interested to hear about whether a baby could choke on the detatchable ones.

OP posts:
mumface · 08/08/2010 13:30

Just found out they will be £17.50 in the uk. I will wait.

CharlottesClan · 08/08/2010 15:08

i do like the look of them, i will have to order some i think. worried about how much wee they will cope with tho, i already have to booster our large itti and its prone to leaking even so.
am interested to know if the biggest setting is bigger then a large. if anyone gets one and can compare i could be tempted.

glad to see im not the only person who gets wicking issues with WN pockets. i will be sticking to wraps and fitteds from them i think, we have two wnss i love, that will do me. fingers crossed i get a normal wetter next time round.. lol!!

HOW many new nappies launched these last few weeks? at a time when i am stone broke as well :(

mumface · 08/08/2010 15:17

According to their user guide the largest setting is an xlarge and it goes up to 44lbs, whereas large Itti's are supposed to fit up to 37lb. So they should be a fair bit bigger.
I think they will be more absorbent than regular Itti's cause they have said they can be used at night with all the boosters in and they never reccommend sized Itti's for nights.

CharlottesClan · 08/08/2010 18:19

are there any uk stockiest of bitti boos? when i was looking before it was france only. Confused id love one as we use fitteds more then we use wool

just bought 2 wnnl on cnt. whoops.. dh will hit the roof!

LacksDaisies · 08/08/2010 20:33

lol 4, me too...thought everyone was just off being busy!

Poor DS myjob; I hope you get to the bottom of it soon and that he isn't finding it uncomfortable.

My weekend has been taken up with hospitals! DD shut bumble's finger if the door on Friday so we were in A&E till 11 on Friday night and then back again yesterday for him to have a wee operation to repair a crushed nailbed. Little beggar won't keep his dressings on though. We are on mark 3 which is less padded than the hospital job, with his thumb free and a sock over it all to try and stop him picking at the strapping. No stitches, just glu which should mean the nail bed will recover without any deformation of his nails.

Am having a few nappy issues at the minute; soaking through everything in just over an hour. Can't think that bumble has suddenly developed marathon wetting abilities in the month we were in sposies? Perhaps I just need more prewashing....they are all new nappies and I only did three washes beforehand. Wonder oooohs living up to my expectations though, although the sizing could be a bit more generous!

Loving the look (and generous sizing) of the bitti boos and will probably get one when they are out in the UK. Can't believe all the hype from itti bitti on FB though; worse then BG!!

tree, I also know someone who will be happy to knit a skirty if you supply the yarn Grin. I found a great ebay shop yesterday selling off mirasol hacho hand dyed merino for £3 a skein. Never done a skirty, but imagine that 4 or 5 skeins would be enough. Would love to do one as I need the practice for my (hopeful) future commissions!!!

Not going down the custom route here. It's obviously just me, but I really dislike the fussiness of nappies like WN, and am not keen on some of the embroidery at all.

4andnotout · 08/08/2010 20:49

Dd4 has had a poo explosion every day for the last week Shock today's managed to cover dp's jeans and a windowsill Shock TMI WARNING it's like a soft sticky poo and I suspect she wee's at the same time hence manky leaks, neither itti's or easyfits can contain it :( it's not like diarrhoea as no urgency, or pain, she is still straining and it's not 100% liquid. Oh my god I have just realised that my life has come to shit literally

mumface · 08/08/2010 20:55

Daisy- Oh no poor Bumble, sounds like you've all had a stressfull weekend!

4- bleurhhh. I have days like that, when I find a random bit of poo under my fingernail and think, has my life come to this? I used to be glamourous Grin Wink

OP posts:
CharlottesClan · 08/08/2010 21:11

daisy that wool sounds like a bargain! i had a look for it but i assume u bought it all up Wink

going through ds longies today. he has one pair left that fits him. Shock
we cant have that can we?

i have wool here to knit up 2 more pairs but its time, i have ellens jumper, a newborn soaker, an xl soaker, and a medium soaker i need to finish first Blush

CharlottesClan · 08/08/2010 21:13
Shock 4! major poo!!

george had a week like that when he cut his second teeth last week, he ended up in terrys and motherease wraps as thats all that could contain it.

amazing what such little bodies can produce eh?

steph1512 · 08/08/2010 21:14

Daisy - does indeed sound stressful and painful..poor bumble!

4..Thank you for making me Smile..had a loooonng day 2day!

Ds doesnt poo daily and is ebf and when he does he literally explodes, might i add..loudly! I Blush when i get those looks of disgust..people thinking there is no way that came from that baby hehe.

I have one pre loved pop in..not exactly cute and material really bobbles..but the gusset really does hold those explosions!

Cant imagine an itti holding one for long enless you got there quickly, enless they add the new gusset to the sized itti and not just the tutto! If they do they better not charge us for the improvement hehe.

I love the ittis...but have to say im slightly concerned they wont hold poo when it gets more solid..the nappy is so compacted up with the inserts i can imagine poo just squashing out of the edges iyswim!?

My god..i too cant believe how much time i spend talking about shit lol

4andnotout · 08/08/2010 21:19

See we all do it, just talk shit Grin

V.pleased today as with my £63 winnings and I sold my maclaren volo today for £45 that's all for my bug fund although we are having to use it this week as we will be sling after paying our rent but dp has promised me I can have it back when we are straight.

Hermya321 · 08/08/2010 21:37

Steph I think once you become a parent, these things become standard. Unfortunately I work with a bunch of manky lads who still think it's normal to talk about the contants of the toilet bowl in polite company. At least with kids, you've got an excuse.

As for poonamis, I've stocked up on Motherease wraps and I'm going to get some little lambs and some small sandies to see us through that stage.
