Some of you will have read my threads on my neighbours but we are pushing to get moved, having the housing manager coming out tomorrow and I want to get out of here. My SIL is in Bolton and I have expressed an inerested in 2 houses up there. Homeless won't help because the police can't give me a letter, council want to me to start the eviction process (ie complain and get them to sort it out or face eviction) but I can't do that as I know it will make things worse. Now I need some help to get us moved, I have 2 disabled kids and they can't live like this, and I have to go out a lot for appointments etc and its so scary going out. Please help me.

I know, its just that the housing manager said its not as bad as some of the cases they deal with, and I think that if I show him I'm not scared it might blow over, but then again I don't think it will, he said I wouldn't be living here much longer if I called the police, he making sure of it, isn't he?

Yeah but she doesn't have to live there does she? And yes, some people have it worse but that doesn't mean you don't have a case. Living under the threat of violence is not living - tell her that.

I know they have to make sure you're not just saying stuff to get moved but the evidence is overwhelming isn't it. I doubt it will blow over - what planet is she on?

Insist they move you, don't weaken now, you're a strong, brave woman and she had better not mess with you. Right?

I know, and I just nearly had a heart attack, my shopping was being delivered when I heard his voice, he was coming out of the house, quickly signed the order thing and shut the door, omg..... I am such a wimp.....

Its understandable sweetheart. There is no way ANYONE should have to live like a bird in a cage. Pleased you phoned the doctor, and hope the school are co-operative. The school need to understand what your position is..... its not that you dont want them to attend school, but you physically cant get them to school because of threats of violence and intimidation.

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 13:45

also yesterday I couldn't pick them up because my car was blocked in, I know people will say I should have walked up there (10mins up the road) but because of DS and DD1's disabilities they can't walk that far.....

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 10/06/2005 13:45

Well then there is nothing the school can say sweetheart.

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 13:46

the school said about phoning SS and seeing if they will provide transport for the kids, so they can attend school still

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 10/06/2005 13:47

that might be worth a shot, but not ideal is it.

spacecadet · 10/06/2005 13:48

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 13:49

jessicasmummy · 10/06/2005 13:56

Can you phone the police and ask for cones to be put outside the house?!

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 13:59

They will just move them, they don't care

"I know, its just that the housing manager said its not as bad as some of the cases they deal with"

That's because you're not aggravating the situation - you're intimidated by them and keeping out of their way, I'm sure it would be worse if you were calling the police out to them brawling in the street every night with DH, and I expect it would be sorted quicker!

You are doing what most of us would do - quietly trying to use the correct channels to get moved, contacting as many people as possible and relying on the systems in place to help you.

And they wonder why people take the law into there own hands!!!

So sorry you're having to put up with this Sparkley and I really hope you get out of there soon xx

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 14:06

BR, exactly!!!!!! I know that if we asked them to move the car, it would cause more trouble.
Dh said that he is getting to the point where he jus want to go and stab him, no good eh??

Have jsut spoken to the council, the medical doctor has only just left and none of the hosuing applications have been updated yet, have to phone on tuesday to see if we have been given any medical points

OP posts:
jessicasmummy · 10/06/2005 15:12

they say tuesday - you phone monday!

OK!

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 16:35

Jsut had a threatening note through the door, saying that my bincupboard and surrounding area stink and that if I don't sort it out they will be phoning the council and the enviromental health, I know it stinks, when my bins were stolen they threw the rubbish on the floor, a chicken carrass was left on the floor, and its smells, I bagged it up in a black bag and sprinkled neat Disinfection into the bag and poured bleach onto the ground. I have just disinfected my bin and painted my number on it, ad when they have gone I will be bagging it up again and bleaching the ground. But the council said that I am doing nothing wrong and rubbish smells

jessicasmummy · 10/06/2005 16:35

Call the police and advice them of the letter - its gone too far now.

sparklymieow · 10/06/2005 16:36

wasn't signed, wouldn't be able to prove it
