Some of you will have read my threads on my neighbours but we are pushing to get moved, having the housing manager coming out tomorrow and I want to get out of here. My SIL is in Bolton and I have expressed an inerested in 2 houses up there. Homeless won't help because the police can't give me a letter, council want to me to start the eviction process (ie complain and get them to sort it out or face eviction) but I can't do that as I know it will make things worse. Now I need some help to get us moved, I have 2 disabled kids and they can't live like this, and I have to go out a lot for appointments etc and its so scary going out. Please help me.

Go down that route once you have moved and they cant find you.... not worth it at the moment in my opinion!

I think you need to explain that it will put you at too much danger, and would feel happier persuing that route when you are somewhere they cannot find you.

sparklymieow · 09/06/2005 17:31

but we would still be in the area, the housing manager said taht they can't help us get out of the area, just rehouse us in this area

i need to make sure my family is safe abd if i have any doubts about that, they can't force me to do it can they?

sparkly, they are powerless to force you to something which you feel may endanger your family anyway, many people report crimes then change their minds about pursuing it, you simply explain that you may consider it, once they have moved you, ask them to consider whether they would want to live next door to someone they were responsible for getting arrested.

sparklymieow · 09/06/2005 18:36

will do that, I am so scared by all this, I just hope that the housing manager will be able to find something. Can't believe this has happened, this was our home, we loved it here, we got on with the people in the street, and we had it adapted in the view of being here for many years, we even thought about buying it in the future. Now I feel like a prisoner, hate being here, and everything seems to revolve around if I can get off my drive, if they will be outside to imtimidate us, if they will be lifting weights at 10pm and dropping them to the ground....... I just want to walk out my front door and not feel scared, to be able to ge off my driveway, to cut my front lawn, and feel proud of myself, I don't feel like that atm......

OP posts:
misdee · 09/06/2005 18:48

if housing manager is involved and askingwhat the kdis need, by this point i would think they are looking into suitable available properties.

assumedname · 09/06/2005 18:56

Brilliant! Things seem to be moving for you.

sparklymieow · 09/06/2005 18:59

The hosuing manager said she will be out to see us on monday, though we should really think about letting them go and see them with the police..... mmmmmm NO!!!!! I don't want my life worse, and even if the parents say they will sort it out, they aren't there all day so how can they mae sure their sons aren't doing anything else..... and TBH I don't think the sons even care.....

OP posts:
LunarSea · 09/06/2005 20:02

I think that's 5:17 at GMT + 1 hour (i.e. British summer time) so it's just 5:17!

sparklymieow · 09/06/2005 21:58

thanks LS

Funny how they have been saying they cant move us, and yet today they asked about the areas we would consider and the children's needs. Makes you laugh really
