Does anyone else by their children designer clothes apart from me?

Hi my ds is 13m and i find it so hard buying nice things for him. Of course he has got a few bits from mothercare, next, marks and spencers and asda but occasionally i would like him to wear something different. These places never seem to offer anything different, they offer babies acting as old men in shirts and ripped jeans.
There are a few children shops near me and i just can't resist it. For ds first birthday he wore an adorable miniman outfit that was expensive but he looked beautiful.
What do you all think about designer baby clothes?

loulabelle222 - PMSL at that comment....... don't you wash the clothes???? I have excema, my ds has it too... dd thankfully doesn't yet. But if I was given hand-me-down clothes from my SIL I'd usually wash them fist anyway! Shheeeeeesh!

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:38

Think I misunderstood the Long-timers comment!

JoolsToo · 16/05/2005 16:39

me too roisin!

Preggars · 16/05/2005 16:39

Don't you wash the 'designer clothes' you buy first before you cloth your baby in them. Personally, I wash everything first.

Toothache · 16/05/2005 16:39

I give up Loulabelle222 - I actually think you're stirring a bit and enjoying this.

ruthiemum · 16/05/2005 16:40

Me too Toothache!

nutcracker · 16/05/2005 16:40

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:46

i love winding you all up. I started this comment by saying that my ds had a designer outfit for his birthday and i like a few bits but most of his clothes are from next,mothercare... how did it get to this?
I do not consider myself a snob just because i by the occasional designer outfit. What has it got to do with you how much money I spend? I was only asking for your opinion, thats all.
It is your choice what you dress your child in designer, second hand or highstreet. There is no need to be nasty commenting on me not washing my childs clothes and my grammer, there is nothing wrong with my grammer. I have 10 a-c passes and 3 a levels so please do not tell me that I am thick.
I did not mean to be nasty and hope that i haven't offended anybody. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. So I won't get my knickers in a twist if you don't!

nutcracker · 16/05/2005 16:48

If you didn't want opinions then why start the thread ??????

ANSWER ......To brag

nutcracker · 16/05/2005 16:48

PMSL Ninah

JoolsToo · 16/05/2005 16:49

I think 'grammer' was deliberate

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:49

i wanted to hear everybody elses opinion it doesn't mean that i think they are right or wrong.

OP posts:
Hulababy · 16/05/2005 16:51

I think if you had left it at just that - listening and accepting other's opiions it'd have been fine. But you have gone a bit OTT on the reasons for NOT buying cheaper/second hand to say the least. Your posts, whether meant or not, do read as quite insulting and offensive towards those who do not share your view.

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:51

ninah i pmsl too hehehehehe get a life love.

nutcracker · 16/05/2005 16:51

Nice to know you love winding everyone up too, lovely.

jessicasmummy · 16/05/2005 16:52

i think this thread is over now.... and best forgotten about!

nutcracker · 16/05/2005 16:52

and when all else fails insult again.

This thread is so funny.

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:52

well nobody on here apart from a few listened to my opinion from the start so why should I not say how i feel?
