Does anyone else by their children designer clothes apart from me?

Hi my ds is 13m and i find it so hard buying nice things for him. Of course he has got a few bits from mothercare, next, marks and spencers and asda but occasionally i would like him to wear something different. These places never seem to offer anything different, they offer babies acting as old men in shirts and ripped jeans.
There are a few children shops near me and i just can't resist it. For ds first birthday he wore an adorable miniman outfit that was expensive but he looked beautiful.
What do you all think about designer baby clothes?

Cupcakes - Wilkinson is a very cheap shop, only slightly pricier than Poundstretchers.

oh I love shopping, just can't afford to go mad!!when you have have three kids and can't buy designer stuff, then come back to me......

Toothache · 16/05/2005 16:15

I love shopping too.... but I equally love finding a good bargain.

Noone is insulted that you love shopping, it was more the comments that implied that shopping from non-designer shops was somehow inferior to designer gear. I know that probably was not your opinion at all..... but on the Net it can be very easy to misinterpret posts and, therefore, be offended.

sparklymieow · 16/05/2005 16:18

oooooo love a baragin too..... especially my DD1's £55 dress that cost me £4!!!

Toothache · 16/05/2005 16:18

SM - You're such a snob!

loulabelle222 · 16/05/2005 16:20

i don't go mad its only once in a while and i buy stuff that lasts. He has a timberland tracksuit that i bought in November and he wore it yesterday and still fit lovely. He has wore it alot and will continue to so i think i have got my moneys worth

You are just so rude..... i cant believe that you could say that.

i may not necessarily agree with designer clothes, but i have no problem with charity shop buys - after all, thats what they are there for - to help charity!

sparklymieow · 16/05/2005 16:25

I could have been very insulted by that comment.... but I will rise above it...
What are you going to do with all your expensive clothes once you have finished having babies???

ninah · 16/05/2005 16:26

Christ there are people in the world who don't have enough to eat. We are SOOO lucky

i am 19 why o why do teenage mothers have to be a chav and single . i am a working mother not on benefits , with my partner and v happy so don't tell me i should have used a condom.
When i was pregnant i was offered to go to one of these places for teenage mums. I was disgusted that in some ways i wasn't treated like any other mother!

This why I'm confused about her age.

lima · 16/05/2005 16:26
