It’s apparently going to be not as cold today so I’m going to be hopeful with putting washing outside. Errands to run and flapjacks to make and housework to do.

Why does the weekends go by so fast?

Done a lot of dusting today, it's so boring so I'm quite proud of myself. Put some lights up outside and also ordered more online, I might have an addiction

Still coughing, six weeks and counting.

Evening all. The trip home was tedious - diversions to avoid jams, and the diversion was slow because everything else was trying to avoid the jams as well.

Came home to multiple cat voms which the manshapes hadn't noticed (both dried in and damp varieties), and DS stropping about over trying to set up a new phone after his one died. I may book myself into a spa for a few days.

Sympathies on the cough Wicked - it's so shit when they won't shift.

Hope that the 'regular Sunday with added DS1 and GF' was fun LetUs

Lovely to see DS1 and his girlfriend again. LovelyMIL is declining quite quickly despite new medication, although I suspect would be worse without it 😔. Far from being the only ones in this boat so many sympathies all round.

Morning all. Tis the season of mists and mellow fruitfullness dark dank dismalness - this morning anyway. No crisp autumn leave here, everything is dripping with mist and drizzle. There is also damp washing hanging about from last night's unexpected bedding wash.
What are you up to this week then LetUs - I kept meaning/forgetting to ask. Hopefully lots of chilling out and enjoyable stuff!

Afternoon. Miserable here too. I'm still slogging away at the photos. I don't know which century I'm in, let alone which year. I'm also having to delete, crop and photoshop certain people out who DS and we don't want to see again, so it's a big job, but I am enjoying it. It's lovely looking back at memories.

LOL at photoshopping people out Apricot - we did that with our wedding photos. Someone brought an uninvited random who inserted himself in the middle front of our 'friends of the bride and groom' photo we replaced him with my bridesmaid's fiance who, bless him, felt he didn't know us well enough to be in the photo. Unlike the uninvited random. <CBF> at him and the friend who brought him.

DH is also off this week. He is, shall we say, being very organising. The stuff we’re doing does admittedly need to be done but I am also doing other stuff at the same time, eg heading downstairs with armfuls of laundry when he starts pointing at (labelled) boxes and asking what are they (read the label), where are they going (where I told you the last time you asked) etc etc etc.

So I met up with BestFriend for a yarn mooch and then a walk into the village for lunch and wine.

Am WFH, it's a bit colder than the office! Have rather hopefully put some washing out......

Meet up this weekend was lovely. Apart from the bit where one of the cats peed on the spare bed and I had to dash off to take the duvet to the cleaners, do an unplanned wash & Helen had to put up with DD's bed.

Today has been dank and dismal. Which made putting out the washing a pointless exercise. I have faffed about doing work, and trying to get started on a tax return. Apparently I need to use a new system from next year And I'll have to pay for the privilege of using it.

In more pleasant news, there was nothing wrong with FancyDD bed.

We have 'winter lights' running up our stairs to cheer us up when the nights draw in.
