That’s a shame about the blueberry bush Helen. Having all holiday washing already done is good going. Poor MrHelen - it’s annoying when you think yep I feel better, I can do stuff, and then it wipes you out. Hope work isn’t too chaotic.

Already back to being lighter in the mornings which is nice. Am hopeful traffic won’t be as bad because school holidays.

Afternoon. It’s still very windy although much warmer but we were supposed to get sun and there’s been high cloud all day. We went into the village this morning for a top-up food shop and a wander around and then this afternoon we’ve sudokued and basically done bugger all.

IdiotKitty is in a food coma due to the half-a-rabbit and a mouse remains that I've found. Next door are off on a break so I need to sort out their livestock too for the rest of the week.

Beautiful day, hot and sunny, but wouldn’t you know it they’ve been cutting the grass round us. Oh and they were strimming this morning. What with that and DH karchering, it’s been a bit annoying. Anyway, we’re coming home tomorrow, but it’s been a nice break.

Been feeling a bit meh lately, difficulty to fall asleep, can't handle the tiniest bit of stress and so on. Had problem with the internet during easter wich turned out to be a problem with the internet adapter to my laptop so had to go in to town and buy a new one. Glad it was easily solved at least.

Really looking forward to my London trip soon, can't wait to get away for a bit.

Fräsan has an appointment to the onchologist on Monday so a bit worried about that. She's fine otherwise, she's her normal cute and annoying self ❤

Lovely day here too although a bit breezy, but at least that helped dry the washing.

Got home and there was much mowing and strimming going on here, which is fair enough but gosh it took a long time.

We have sunshine and high cloud - think that DH is planning to mow today. This morning's wildlife update was a fawn in the garden, followed by the most moth-eaten and battered looking mother deer I've ever seen! (I think/hope she was mid-moult, to account for the very patchy fur!)

I have to get back to freelancing today, and I'm not oozing with excitement over the prospect. But I have had a nice break, so that's good. Also the day is interrupted with exercise and playing taxi for DS, who is revising hard going to the cinema with friends. (Actually, DH can do the taxi-ing he's still off.)

Fog moved on after an hour or so. Rained on and off, and the wind picked up mid-afternoon. It was a fairly icy wind walking to the car. The word of the day at work was “challenging”.

I think I shall have another early night, just need to stay asleep for more of it.

Evening all. Stressful and irritating day. Weather was lovely though, until about 5pm and started clouding over and getting windy. Little bit of rain too.

I bought DS a bus pass for the next term this afternoon, and then app wouldn't let me transfer it to DS. Their help system suggested I might not have the most up to date app, so I downloaded the newest app and logged in, and then they denied that the ticket even existed. F.M.L. Their help guides tell you to pick options that don't exist to retrieve it, their online chat is unavailable, and their webform help might get back to me in 7-14 days. Bearing in mind that this ticket is for Monday...

DS meanwhile has been out all afternoon with friends and I've just been to pick him up. <le sigh>

It's sunny out, but cold and the weekend forecast isn't great - I'm planning to meet a friend for hot chocolate rather than a walk! In the meantime, work calls!

Afternoon. We came back last night, uneventful journey. Nice day today, bit chilly but good for the washing. Unfortunately DH had left a tissue in the washing bag which I didn’t notice so everything was covered. I had to shake everything and hoover it all up. Then I found that he had left the box of pegs outside when he fetched the duvet cover in before we went away. You see, he thinks he’s helping but he’s not. All the pegs were wet and covered in bits of conifer from the storm so I had to wash them and lay them on the table outside to dry. <sigh>

Work was marginally better than yesterday although not helped by for example being asked to do something but with incomplete instructions, me emailing with three queries so I can do the task, eventually getting a response answering only one query, missing the point on another, and ignoring the third. Was literally banging my head on the desk at one point. But it’s done for the week so hurrah!

Small <harrumph> at MrApricot. Fingers crossed for tonight (I did check who you’re playing before I said that 😁)

I was going to do a few things just now, like moving dinner things and having a tidy up but I made the mistake of flicking through the film channels first. I’m now watching Up. Cannot watch this without sobbing.

FFS at LetUsWork and for you. BoringOfficeJob has cut staffing so much that we've got people falling like flies with stress due to work overload. 3 people I work with are off, and today someone was thanking me much more than usual, which felt like a definite undercurrent of 'please don't buckle under the stress too!' I did my 'to do' list at the end of the day, and it was looong. I will look at it next week and feel slightly panicked.

There has been bugger all progress with the bus pass situation. Still weekend - hurrah! The hot chocolate catch-up is tomorrow.

Up a couple of times in the night for the bathroom but I slept past 7. Feels like I haven’t done that for a while. However, now I feel behind with washing plans. Muppet.

Meeting BestFriend earlier than usual, although it looks like the yarn I want is out of stock again (and they’d only just got more in) so I won’t be spending my vouchers!

DS's gaming TV has gone phut. Oh no! What a shame! He might be forced to do some revision. Except DH has managed to rig up a computer monitor and will research new tvs.

Afternoon. Sunshine and showers, typical April weather.

I've just been doing my application to renew my driving licence and OMG it was horrendous. Last time it was easy but I think they've changed the rules this year. What you have to go through to prove who you are is awful. It's all authentication codes, emails, QR codes, scans, biometric facial recognition stuff, by the end of it I didn't know who I was or what I was doing. How some poor old senior folks manage it I don't know.

Thanks LetUs, we were hoping for some miracle, but it wasn't to be.

Work sounds terrible Helen. DD says the same is happening with her job. When people leave they aren't replaced.

Yay for work being productive Fancy, it makes it all feel worthwhile.

Rest of day has been jolly windy and we had lots of rain mid-afternoon. Am just out of the bath so am still feeling quite warm and flushed.

I can’t decide whether those type of people are stupid, lazy, or bloody awkward Fancy. Possibly all three.

Why do things like that have to be so difficult Apricot? Seems so stupid.
