Definitely not a drying day today - the cloud never lifted so it was pretty dismal and cold all day - not a nice day for anyone gardening. Though no rain.

I'm intrigued by glow in the dark yarn. DS used to have some glow in the dark stars on his bedroom ceiling when he was little. I used to have to 'charge them up' for him at bedtime by shining a torch on them

Do you need any HBF assistance to check over your injuries Fancy? Cat scratches can get infected after all. Always best to get yourself checked over <ylt>

Fairly chilly out but it’s dry and sunny again. Looked at the forecast up to and including Easter weekend. Nice all the way to Good Friday, then rain showers for the long weekend, back to full sun on thr Tuesday. Time for it to change I suppose.

Ah - there's nothing like the accusatory stare of a pet who notices they are being fed drugs today I have an opticians appointment one of my eyes seems to not be very keen on focussing on anything so I've tied that in with a tip run .

Have just finished emailing an update that was needed today, so now it's breakfast and get dressed time!

I’ve never seen the glow in the dark yarn either. It sounds lovely for the stars and moons.

I once tried to give Misty a worming tablet in her food and she ate all round it. I tried again and found it in the middle of the carpet. I leave it to the vet on her annual visit now. Not that she’s likely to get worms anyway.

Hope the optician has said the eye is nothing serious Helen and it’s easily resolved.

The yarn is great. I bought it a few weeks ago but didn’t even think to test it out until I was telling DS1 and his girlfriend about it when they were round at the weekend. We took turns taking the ball of yarn into the cupboard under the stairs to be amazed 😁

LetUsCat was the same with tablets. Wet food - tablet got left behind. Biscuits which you’d think would disguise it a bit better - nope.

Work ticked along quite nicely today until about 3.30 when everyone basically queued up wanting stuff done.

The only time I've easily got drugs into a cat was when they were dipped in a fish oil paste, and coated in crushed cat biscuits. That was IdiotKitty with one of his cat-fight abscess events.

Optician said my prescription was fine though I have now got computer glasses on order, to go with the reading glasses and the driving glasses I'll bumble along as I am I guess.

That sounds like me with the multiple pairs of glasses Helen before they decided I could give varifocals a go after previously telling me I couldn’t.

Morning. Hurrah for Friday - I need a loooong sleep. (working late again).

I tried varifocals but couldn't get on with them at all. I may try bifocals instead. <watches money vanish into the optician's bank account> though actually, the new glasses are subsidised because I need them specifically for work, and I get a voucher to help with that.

It's sunny here this morning - yesterday's cloud had gone by midday, so I'm considering working in the garden if it's warm enough and I can find a spot that doesn't have the sun glaring off my screen. Talking of which, better get logged in...

Afternoon. Lovely day again, we’ve got into a routine of doing jobs in the morning/watching golf and then going outside after lunch. Hope it goes on a bit longer.

I’m the same with glasses, reading ones, tv/driving ones and some old less strong ones for the computer.

Weather has been nice and sunny and not too chilly again. I need to pot on more plants this weekend, and that's the extent of my plans. Other than to dig a bed ready for some strawberry plants which have arrived and have no-where to live <eye roll at self - I ordered them, so it's not like it's a surprise that they've arrived!>

The fog got quite a bit worse this morning then went just as quickly. The late onset of busyness continued all day today. Had a brief lunch stop but otherwise didn’t stop all day. Rather tired now.

Afternoon all. I did the usual chores this morning, then went back to bed, only to be woken up half an hour later by the phone. As a result, I've been to the beach for a long walk and have lost all energy and enthusiasm for a day in the garden

Afternoon. Well the weather has gone although it’s still warm. The good thing is that I’ve done a load of ironing that’s been hanging around for days weeks.

Have been grappling with new software at work this week - a definite improvement on the previous software, it's very different though so I seem to be proceeding at a snail's pace.

Have been doing more digging in the garden today & some further weeding/tidying - feel the need to get it done while the weather's ok. Chonk & Floof are enjoying the warmer weather - Chonk has been mousing. He gets very possessive of his trophies and growls at anyone who gets close.

Sunshine gone now and rain due soon. I suppose it’s good to “stock up” on the rain for a hopefully nice summer.

Usual Sunday. Going to have my breakfast then get on with the ironing.

Morning all. I went to bed early with The Headache last night - FFS and all that. then woke up with it at 2:30 am, and so far it has been banished with a dose of exercise and running about.

DS has the horde over which is nice - haven't seen them for a while. IdiotKitty is similarly territorial over his catches as well, which is quite useful when you're herding him out with a mouthful of mouse - it means he keeps hold of them.
More gardening is needed today. I did some yesterday, but it's a never-ending task to be honest.

Afternoon. Cloudy and cooler, but no rain yet. We do need some.

The nice neighbours at the bottom of the garden have given DH half a dozen eggs from their hens. They say they’re so busy laying they can’t keep up with them.

Hope your headache has gone Helen. I keep getting sharp pains in my temple today; Dr Google says they’re ice-pick headaches. I’ve also had a couple of migraine aura things lately. Probably too much screen time.

I’ve got to get up early tomorrow <horror> as DS has to take his car in for repair and DH still isn’t allowed to drive, so I’ve got to collect him from the garage and take him to work. It’s about a 30 mile round trip. I’m not used to this. We also have DGS for the day. Argh!
