Evening all. It has been a long and somewhat frustrating day - DS did well, but came 4th in various events today so no medals. DS likes medals. Also I have a sore throat - woe is me (though at least I'm not covered in scrapes and bruises <side-eyes> at MrA)

KillerKitty has had a rabbit (I found the remains this morning and he polished it off while we were out) so he's currently SleepyKittyWithTubbyTummy.

Heading for hayloft now - I'm not enthralled by the idea of work tomorrow. DS is even less enthralled by college - apparently he has tests that he hasn't revised for - depite being reminded regularly by me and DH. <le sigh>.

Have had a lazy weekend, bit of gardening and cooking and went out for dinner with a friend last night for a lovely catch up. Am currently being a cat bed for TCFNAC. Now it's getting colder my lap is much sought after!

Fingers crossed for coughs buggering off, DC tests, DH post-booze scrapes and that tomorrow isn't too Monday-ish 😁

Morning. It was chilly this morning - though no ground frost, just a heavy dew and mist/fog. KillerKitty didn't finish the rabbit off yesterday. I found more this morning - there was an unlucky rabbits foot and a fluffy tail to be lobbed out the door. Poor bunny / happy kitty (He has now decided that the best place to curl up is behind DS's door, so if anyone opens it too enthusiastically, he'll be squashed/outraged kitty.)

The cough is still horrible and I didn't sleep a wink last night. Contacted the GP today and got the good kind of cough medicine with Morphine in it so hope it helps.

During last night Fräsan behaved strangely, breathing fast, shivering, whining so I was really worried. I put a blanket on her and she calmed down after that. She's been ok during the day, maybe a little bit tired.

Yesterday I also had the pleasure to discover a dead mouse floating in the salt container thingy next to the water pump. On of my landladies removed it, apparently it looked like it's been there for a while. Then one of the tenants that is a plumber helped with removing and cleaning of the salt container thingy.

Evening. The day started off sunny but then it clouded over. I haven't been outside, but it feels quite cold. I'm not normally interested in the golf, but I got quite invested in the Ryder Cup. It was really nerve-wracking towards the end but yay!!

Hope the cough medicine helps you WW and that Fräsan is alright. Eeek at the dead mouse.

Also hope Helen's sore throat doesn't develop into anything.

Evening all. Touch wood, the sore throat hasn't developed - it was the sort of thing that usually flares up when I'm fighting something off. It is the season for sniffles though.

Work was quite lazy this morning, but then went bonkers this afternoon, so I'm a bit tired from the flurry of emails flying about.

Afternoon. Sunny this morning but it's clouded over now. One of DH's friends has given him a bucket of windfalls and we've been peeling and stewing all afternoon.

I read that thread Helen, very amusing. It's ridiculous how dreams can have an effect on your day.

Ah, I feel your peeling/stewing pain Apricot - that's my life for about 2-3 months.

Work has been workish and that's about it. The exercise class left me feeling tired rather than set up for the day. But it was doubtless good for me.

Afternoon. Bit of a miserable day here, I haven't done much.

Yes, I'm looking at recipes for the apples. DH wants apple pies, but I'm past my pastry-making days. There may be crumbles. We had apple trees at my childhood home Fancy, and pear trees. We had loads of fruit bushes too, and my Dad had an allotment, so there was lots of food preparation in the autumn.

Boo for cat vom Helen. Hope the Sky engineer sorted things out LetUs.

Evening all. Work was busy this afternoon, then went bonkers again when I logged out and looked at freelance stuff. Not much has happened apart from that. Apart from more cat vom - they're both at it!

Engineer turned up and fixed things quite easily and was all done by about 10am so that was jolly good. Then persuaded DS2 into town 😁 but we got most of the things we needed. Then spent a quite relaxing day.

We had cat vom last night. I was cooking fish and gave some to Misty, but she obviously had too much. Nothing else happening.

Morning. Not sure what happened to this morning's post - you've missed out on the entertainment of my dream where I was doing my exercise class with Fancy, but we were sitting down to do it, and people were setting out afternoon tea. I was v. puzzled as to how this would work with us doing exercise, but Fancy explained that I'd slept through the entire class and this was for the next event.

Not much happening today. The mad deadline that caused much email chaos has passed so hopefully things have calmed down again now.

Hope that Misty is all better now and it was a one-off vom. And <cwtch> for LetUs - your work sounds shite.
