Morning all. Sunny and chilly outside. The lawn has a light frost in the middle, but things are fine where it was sheltered. Which is just as well because I forgot to bring the seedlings in last night. Oops.

Have a good day all...

ApricotCrush · 31/03/2025 16:54

Afternoon. Lovely day, I got the sunlounger out and sat on it for a couple of hours. It was really hot!

Sad about LovelyMIL LetUs. Sad

Oh, naughty chickens, are they still supposed to be in lockdown Helen? We won’t bother with KlokkenThing then.

Misty has been asleep on the treadmill, at least it’s getting some use. Hmm

Evening wenches.

<knits light blanket for seedlings>

Excellent re being able to sit out on the sunlounger Apricot ☀️. I’ve already planned my washing for the week. Asked DS2 to strip the beds and remake his whilst I was at work. Let’s say he’d had a go and then finished it off when I got home.

Bit of a stressful journey home (two of the biggest roads I use were closed, one for roadworks and the other for an accident) so it was a bit of a magical mystery tour.

I shall try for an early night I think.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/04/2025 07:12

Morning all.

Colder this morning and also a fair but of cloud mooching about. Yesterday's lunch was lovely - we sat outside to eat it (in March, FFS!) and it was nice to have a catch-up. Had a headache most of the day though, and woken up with it too. I suspect tension things are going on, because I often catch myself clenching my jaw without realising it.

Today is porridge and early-morning-exercise. DH has to be up early for a work call and was expecting me to make sure he was awake in time. Told him that I was out. Apparently I'm somehow bloody morning monitor responsible for getting everyone out of bed on time Hmm Sod that for a game of soldiers - it's bad enough having to chase up DS.

Have a lovely day all.

LetUsPrey · 01/04/2025 07:28

Morning wenches.

Beautiful and sunny here. Still a bit of a chill when I put the washing out but there’s a lovely kind of light to the sunshine.

Hope the headache eases Helen. And a big fat no to MrHelen for the making sure he’s awake in time. Cheek.

Have great days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 01/04/2025 17:21

Afternoon. Another lovely day but I couldn’t do any washing as DH is jet-washing the terrace. Also no sitting out for the same reason and I also had a dental appointment this afternoon.

I woke up with a headache too Helen. I grind my teeth all the time so it’s not surprising. Hope yours has gone now.

Have a good evening all.

Evening.

Boo for headaches and stressful driving!

I actually washed my car this weekend, bit amazed by myself!

Did an MRI yesterday to check if there's been any improvement with the injections I've been taking for several months. Logged in today and read the MRI report and it shows that several things look better so that's good. But it also showed some gynecological things that I wasn't prepared for so now I'll probably be referred for that as well. Feel a bit like FFS, another thing?! Anyway, I'm having vodka right now to relax🍹

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/04/2025 20:25

<cwtch> Wicked - it's shit when it's just one thing on top of another.

<pours another glass>

Today has been sunny and cold. Work has been workish.

Hope that traffic was better today LetUs, and that Fancy has had a good gardening day.
<admires Apricot's nice clean patio<nae>

LetUsPrey · 01/04/2025 21:42

Evening wenches.

Traffic was back to normal thankfully.

Hope dentist went well Apricot. Here’s to another couple of days (at least) of lovely weather for you to sit out in.

<cwtches> Wicked. It’s the “that issue you saw us about is fine…. however…” Have another vodka.

LetUsPrey · 02/04/2025 07:28

Morning wenches.

Sunshine again!

<sets out loungers, books, sudoku puzzles, jigsaws and refreshments> Enjoy!

More washing outside. I’m convinced other households are sneaking their washing into my laundry basket.

Better get on with the day I suppose.

Have great days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/04/2025 07:41

Morning all. It's sunny and not as cold this morning.
<sends clone to work and chills out on sun loungers with HBFs>

Have a good day all. No cat vom or mouse remains this morning, so it's good start to the day.

ApricotCrush · 02/04/2025 16:52

Afternoon. Lovely sunny day. Bedclothes all washed and back on the bed. I did sit on the lounger for a while and failed at a sudoku, but the wind was cold.

Dentist was fine, it was only routine stuff. Half of them are loose, but I just have to keep plodding on with them and hope one of them doesn’t fall out into my cornflakes as happened once. Grin

Oh WW, I’m sorry to hear you have another problem, there’s always something. <cwtch>

LetUsPrey · 02/04/2025 20:08

Evening wenches.

Lovely sunny day again but yes that wind makes it rather chilly. Brought the washing in late afternoon and it wasn’t too pleasant to be outside at all.

Good to see that you’re being given a break from telling the future using mouse entrails Helen 😁

Hope you didn’t scoop it up with the next spoonful Apricot!

Work was generally urgh.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/04/2025 21:08

Evening all. <pours Gin for LetUs>

Work involved tedious meetings, but a slightly early finish, DH is out being sporting, and DS is doing homework. Nothing exciting going on here.

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2025 07:35

Evening wenches.

Nothing exciting is good Helen.

Gosh it’s a bit of a chilly wind outside. I’ve put extra pegs on the sheets too. Sunny though and it promises it’s going to warm up.

Work I suspect is going to be dealing with stuff that NC and I have been asking for for months so we could get it done. And now it’ll be urgent. Le sigh.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2025 07:40

Morning all. Tiiiiiiired and running late. Excellent start to the day Hmm
Have a good day all, with hopefully not too much work fuckwittery,
(At least the sun is out, though soon I'm going to talk about needing some rain <side eyes at the dusty fields>.)

ApricotCrush · 03/04/2025 16:45

Afternoon. Sunny day again, but still with a cold wind. I’m running out of washing to do.

DH had his hernia op this morning. DD brought him home as she was working there today. He says he’s fine but I think he’s still under the influence of painkillers. I’ve stocked up on ibuprofen. No driving for a fortnight and no golf for five weeks. Yikes! Shock

Hope everyone’s had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 03/04/2025 20:57

Evening wenches.

Five weeks Apricot?! Five?! Thoughts and prayers. And here’s to a speedy post-op recovery.

Also still with the cold wind here.

Minor fuckwittery at work - not directed at me but at a very nice colleague. Suggested they speak to a boss person which they did.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/04/2025 22:13

Evening. Five weeks! [horror]
Oh. Look! Apricot has won a 5-week stay for one at a spa hotel. I'm sure MrA can manage. Grin

Today it felt like I was very ineffective this morning, then worked like a demon this afternoon, so hopefully I've had a decent day. It's been sunny but cold again.

<PaddingtonBearStare> for work fuckwittery that was specifically told not to happen this morning. Still, Friday tomorrow - hurrah!

FancyFancy · 03/04/2025 22:32

Evening, went out to a comedy gig last night - was very good, but made for a long day.

Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday - I feel like I need some downtime. Mind you, I still have plenty of digging to do in the garden so....

<cwtches> ww, you really don't need another thing to deal with

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for MrA

LetUsPrey · 04/04/2025 07:13

Morning wenches.

Grin At Apricot’s winning stay for one

Sounds productive to me Helen.

It is nice to go out of an evening but yes the day feels long. Hope you get some gardening done Fancy but also time to get your feet up.

Hurrah for Friday!

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2025 07:33

Morning all, it's lovely and sunny again. Animals have been fed and watered. One of the chickens is being a pain - escaping in the morning when I'm mucking out, and not being very cooperative about being caught to go back in. she is in danger of being not allowed her quick peck-about outside at this rate. That's the excitement of my day so far!

Hurrah for comedy gigs, boo for late nights.

ApricotCrush · 04/04/2025 17:12

Afternoon. It was supposed to be 18° today, it didn't feel like it. Sunny but cold.

I don't think I could go to a gig now Fancy. As you say, it is a long day.

Grin at punishment for naughty chicken.

DH is a bit sore but otherwise says he feels a fraud.

<packs bags for spa hotel, he'll be fine>

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 04/04/2025 21:33

Evening wenches.

Apricot just imagine that you’re wrapped in a big fluffy white dressing gown, you’ve had a facial, perhaps a massage, and are now settling down with a massive bag of snacks and something to drink. And it’s quiet.

Time out for a chicken, possibly sitting in a corner of the coop with her wings crossed and her beak up in the air.

Windy again here too. Work’s done for the week so hurrah for that.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/04/2025 22:09

Evening all. <snort> at Chicken in the naughty corner. Grin

Work was worky and dull. Though I spent the first half hour or so unpicking an email chain to work out WTF was going on - as ever.

Hurrah for the weekend! Though the weather looks to be getting colder here. But still no rain. It's a sodding dust bowl out there Sad
