Afternoon all. Woke up to lovely sunshine this morning, and did a garage/taxi run. By 10am it was pelting down, and we've been back to sunshine again since then. I can't keep up...

Work has been irritating (referred to email addresses that bounce, that sort of thing) and I need to go out and do shopping. and stuff. Next time you have an early wake LetUs, I'll just tell you about my day and that will send you back to sleep <passes matchsticks in the meantime>

Afternoon. Rain, rain and more rain, although as you say Fancy the lawn is looking a bit better. No sun to dry stuff out though from the leak, so the carpet is still up in the lounge. DH is going round all the gutters and pipes cleaning them all out just in case.

Another day, another disaster, DH’s car has failed its MOT. <horror> It needs two new tyres. He’s booked it into the tyre place so all should be well tomorrow.

We've been watching the first 'Human' documentary. There's an awful lot of gazing in to the distance and blurry focus of people cosplaying early humans. It was interesting but I fell asleep towards the end

I watched that series Helen. Took a little while to get into it and sort of get used to the style of it (not the right word but can’t think what I mean) and then I really enjoyed it.

Fish and chips and crap tv sounds a perfect way to spend an evening. Didn’t realise Only Connect was back.

I went back to bed after feeding chickens and then was running late for work. Just finished another day of spreadsheets and reconciliations, but progress has been made with balancing everything, so that's good

DH has gone out to be sporting, and DS is glued to a new game that's just come out.

The car now has its new tyres and the MOT certificate has been issued. As you say Helen, expensive.

I’m waking up between 4 and 5 o’clock LetUs, it’s very annoying. I was making a cuppa at 6 because I was sick of just lying there.

Didn’t really mind getting up earlier in the summer when it was light and lovely. Properly begrudge it now when it’s dismal and dull. Am considering resorting to the occasional sleeping tablet which I’ll ask the pharmacist about tomorrow morning when I go to pick up a prescription.

Am watching the Alcaraz -v- Djokovic match. Very much vamos Carlos. Also looking forward to the men’s doubles final but I’ll need to check when it’s on.

I've got two positive Covidtests so looks like I might have Covid, unless I've done the tests wrong. But I'm feeling much better besides being tired and coughing.
Been spending a lot of the time on the couch, drinking tea and rewatching Line of Duty. They really shouldn't got rid of Dot, he's the most interesting character, apart from Hastings.

Only partly successful this morning. Market stall wasn’t open when I got there, and I gave up waiting at Boots pharmacy (not where I was getting prescription). Lovely chat with BestFriend at craft barn and spent a bit more of a voucher, but then went to village pharmacy, queued for ages but prescription wasn’t ready and there was a long wait. Not had that before when I’ve requested four or five days before. I’ll have to go back next Saturday. Have done lots of washing and some crochet.

Bollocks to the Covid Wicked but at least you’re feeling a bit better.

Morning all. We have sunshine today (at the moment!)

Yesterday didn't feel wonderfully productive. I stewed up fruit, but it all seemed to take make longer, for less. (Smaller fruit probably), the charity shop don't take rags for recycling any more, so the bin bag of worn out clothes came back with me, I couldn't get the DIY stuff I wanted, and I'm not sure what I got will substitute. I also had a long queue at the chemist with someone faffing over what they were buying and how their loyalty card worked. (V. annoying about you having to go back again next weekend LetUs)

On the other hand, I also got the bedding washed and dried on the line, and I spent all evening (and stayed up for too late) buried in a book and didn't even look online for entertainment, so that was good. Thoroughly recommend Saltblood by Francesca deTorres a fictionalised version of Mary Read's life (a notorious pirate).

Hopefully today will feel more satisfying, and all wenches will have a good day. Glad to hear that Wicked is improving. <passes mug of tea>

Boo to frustrating days. It's quiet warm and windy here, so washing is on the line. DD & a friend were here yesterday - we drank, snacked & watched tv, so it was a lovely relaxed day all round. Today I am doing all the dull weekend chores that I didn't do yesterday

You remember that loose tooth that was driving me mad, well it’s come out, with a little help. I’m so relieved. It’s at the back so won’t be missed.

That’s annoying about the pharmacy LetUs. I always order my prescription a week in advance but when I go to collect it it’s never ready and I have to wait for it.

Evening. Today has been productive. I may have overdone the gardening slightly, but the garden is tidier, and the wheelbarrow is full of ground elder. Washing has also been done, and I remembered to buy DS a new pass ticket for college. Except that I did something wrong and can't transfer it to DS, so now we've had to put my account on his phone <eye roll>

Nice weather again though - hot actually. (More washing done.)

Urgh wenches. I don't approve of these early starts (and DS doesn't have a single late start this year). Also woke up at 3am with indigestion and a headache, so I'm feeling extra urgh this morning.

Fed cats first thing, and then was presented with pile of cat vom, so who knows how much of WobblyCat's anti-wobble medicine stayed inside her . Happy days.

Afternoon. Weird weather we’re having. Lovely sunny morning, I sat outside to eat my lunch, then it went very dark and we had a thunder storm, now it’s sunny again. This morning I went a bit mad and cleaned some windows, then did a Sainsbury shop. I’ve also printed off a couple of photos to replace those that were ruined in the leak through the ceiling.

Hope the headache has gone away Helen and LetUs’s day hasn’t been too hectic with NC being away.
