Evening. I am deaf back from fast noisy gig. Not what I would normally go to, but it was fun.

Well done on booking the trip Wicked - you should read The Five. Also well done to miniLetUs - hurrah for jabs.
<squeee> at Chonk and Floof>

Hayloft.

Morning wenches.

I like the look of that book Helen, although must not buy more books.

That is the sweetest thing about you dad hearing Chonk while you’re on the phone Fancy.

Hurrah for trip Wicked!

Doesn’t appear to be raining. For now.

Enjoy your days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/04/2024 09:56

Morning all. Sunshine here <jinxes weather, watches clouds roll in>

ApricotCrush · 11/04/2024 15:58

Afternoon. Lovely day, I actually did some gardening this morning Shock, dead-heading hydrangeas and tidying up the wisteria. I thought I'd sit outside and do some sudokus after lunch so got the sunbed stuff out but it clouded over and went chilly. Typical!

Yay for London visit WW and well done to MiniLetUs.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/04/2024 18:13

I ordered that book Helen, looks interesting.

LetUsPrey · 11/04/2024 20:26

Evening wenches.

Dry all day and not cold, been throwing it down since I got home.

Work was worky and we tolerated each other until 5pm. I’ve spent an enjoyable hour or so sorting out and re-organising my stash of yarn. Needed to get it tidy but also need to be able to properly plan what colours I need to get for the fruit and vegetables. Obviously.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/04/2024 20:28

Evening all. It's a very good book - you can learn it all Wicked and then be that annoying person on the tour who pulls the guide and and questions received wisdom. "So why do you say she was a prostitute? What evidence are you citing?" Grin
Today has been one long shuttle of moving myself and DS around to local area for revision sessions, meet-ups, exercise stuff, etc. So I've got bugger all work done Sad Will have to pull my finger out tomorrow.

That's sod's law re. the sunbed Apricot.

Hope everyone's had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 12/04/2024 07:23

Morning wenches.

<sets CloneHelen to work>

Friday hurrah. No rain yet but I suspect it’ll pop along at some point.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/04/2024 11:04

Moring all.

Urgh... stupid late night, then I slept really badly, and now I feel like I'm wading through treacle.

High cloud outside, but not bad weather as such. Not that I've been outside for more than a trudge to the chicken house and back.

<hides in bed; sets clone to work>

ApricotCrush · 12/04/2024 17:37

Afternoon. Well, the weather app said full sun all day, so I got the washing on the line and all the jobs done so I could sit in it this afternoon, but it didn’t materialise. They lie. 😡

DS was going to cook the meal, but he’s gone to the pub to meet friends instead, so I’d better get cracking.

Have a lovely evening all. Wine

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/04/2024 18:33

Apricot Tell DS to pick up a takeaway on his way home. Assuming he's not coming home late.

We've had decent enough weather - washing has mostly dried. But certainly no full sun here either. I have been wading though treacle work all day and now I'm tiiiiiiiiiiiiired. Also had to clear up Cat Vom. I don't know how we all cope with the excitement levels in our lives, I really don't. Hmm

Hope that everyone has had a lovely day. Here's to the weekend! Wine Brew Gin [HBFs] ⚔<-- that's the best Icon I can come up with the HBFs Grin

LetUsPrey · 12/04/2024 21:37

Evening wenches.

It was so warm today I didn’t need my scarf. Ooooooooo!

<hides Helen in hayloft under already occupied cloaks>

That’s flipping typical Apricot. Surely domestic activity should be rewarded by the opportunity to do what one wants.

Work was there, traffic was miraculously quiet. Have collected DS2 from SportingActivity and am knitting whilst the washing machine does its thing.

LetUsPrey · 13/04/2024 07:54

Morning wenches.

Quite dull here. Who cares though because it’s the weekend!

Usual stuff planned together with yarn shopping for colours I don’t have in my stash for the fruit and vegetables plan. It may turn out to be a very exclusive greengrocer’s shop with only one of each kind of food.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/04/2024 08:49

LOL at 'exclusive greengrocers' Grin
It's nice and sunny here today. I have good intentions relating to gardening and stuff. We'll see... (am also tired due to stupid late night (again) and then DH waking me up because wildlife was making noises outside in the wild.)
IntelligentCat is absolutely fine again, other than very wary of IdiotKitty still. She also refuses to eat That Muck which the vet sent us away with to help any arthritic tendencies. <eye roll>

Hope every wench has a good day and the wool gods smile on LetUs in her hunt for the right coloured wool.

ApricotCrush · 13/04/2024 17:08

Afternoon. Nice day, more washing done. Where does it all come from? Hmm

Glad IntelligentCat is better. Grin at LetUs’s exclusive greengrocers.

We’re going out with friends who we haven’t seen since Christmas later for a meal and catch up.

LetUsPrey · 13/04/2024 20:27

Evening wenches.

The wool gods did indeed smile on me and I even got some of just the right colour from the bargain basket. I’ve made a start on the veg.

Good news re IntelligentCat.

Was thinking the same when I was putting the washing on the heated drier (because of course it’s throwing it down again). It looked like I’d not done a wash for ages.

FancyFancy · 13/04/2024 22:09

Evening

Good news about IntelligentCat ☺️

We actually had a dry day here - was so excited at the prospect of a visit to the garden centre to spend my birthday money I forgot to put a wash on. Also got distracted by realising I can't remember the last time I washed the vacuum filters (thanks to a MN thread) so they had to be washed.

Anyhow, I have new plants, garden lights and a bird feeder. Let's see how long it takes the squirrels to work their way round it.

Chonk spent quite a bit of time outside earlier, got me a bit worried. He has worked out that he can get in through a bedroom window now, and he waltzed in and announced himself about an hour ago. ScaredyCat used to do the same - always had to tell me she was home. Floof doesn't use the upstairs windows to get in and out - could be because he likes having me to himself. Or because he's too fat and lazy 😂

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 13/04/2024 22:53

Evening all. Is Chock going out to find lady-cats to admire his newly acquired waist? Grin

Gardening has been done (little bonfire, lots of shifting of pots, and rather belated seed sowing), and two loads of washing dried on the line because the weather has been warm and windy, and somecat had frothy-vommed on both throws. <cbf - at least it didn't come from that end of things!>

Excellent news re. the wool LetUs. Hope that Apricot had a nice meet-up with friends. I should probably wash our hoover filters too - I'll add that job to the list.

LetUsPrey · 14/04/2024 08:19

Morning wenches.

I absolutely flipping love reading about Chonk and Floof’s settling in - and out. Gives a nice start to the day.

<directs Helen to massage table>

Flapjacks are in the oven, washing on the line, I shall have breakfast and then do the ironing. Visit my parents and then pick up LovelyMIL for lunch.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/04/2024 10:38

Morning all. I'm in awe of pre-9am baking LetUs. I've made breakfast and taxied DS off to see friends, and done my shoulder exercises. You know - the ones that I ought to do every other say, which I last did on Monday. Hmm

It looks very nice out there, but a bit breezy and the wind isn't warm. Will be out in the garden shortly anyway.

ApricotCrush · 14/04/2024 16:55

Afternoon. Pleasant day but I have done bugger all. We had a nice meal with our friends last night, although I hate driving home, particularly with all the potholes around here.

Eeeerm, hoover filters what are those? 😳 Will have a word with DH about them. Mind you, my hoover is ancient so may not have them.

Aaaaw at Chonk and Floof.

<pinches a flapjack>

LetUsPrey · 14/04/2024 19:39

Evening wenches.

Quite chilly but breezy so I got a line of washing dry.

Lovely meal out with friends sounds just the thing Apricot. Potholes are a bastard though.

Have ironed and visited and picked up LovelyMIL for lunch. Also knitting and then bath’n’book.

FancyFancy · 14/04/2024 20:50

And I live reading about home made flapjacks 😁

Glad you negotiated your way through the potholes apricot, there are awful ones round here too.

I have mostly pottered today - groceries, batch cooking and am feeling tired already <yawns at self>

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 14/04/2024 21:32

Evening all. I'm bloody knackered. Been doing gardening all day and I feel like I need a shower to get clean, plus a hot soak in the bath. Also, despite being in the garden all day, I didn't even start on either of the jobs I was wanting to do. <le sigh>

Back to school tomorrow as well, so I can't even lie-in to recover. <tiny violin> Send emergency massage HBFs...

LetUsPrey · 15/04/2024 07:32

Morning wenches.

Well that explains the large amount of empty lotion jars in the recycling. <hoses down massage tables>

That sounds a lovely day Fancy, pottering about.

Throwing it down and high winds here. I love the spring!
