Morning wenches.

Sunny and dry again. Ooooo! Thats quite exciting really.

Hope it’s good weather for wenches and there are chances to enjoy it.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/04/2024 07:35

Morning all. Grey and wet here, so nothing to get excited about (though the sun has just broken through.

Today I will mostly be tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiired, since I got back at midnight last night. <yawns> but it was nice to meet people who I've swapped emails with before, and generally a good day - if long. Yesterday's hair settled down to the usual presentable levels of messy. As opposed to looking like half of it had been squashed under a hat and the rest was sticking out at 90 degrees from my head Shock

<cbf> at crap colleagues. My close would be a perfect colleague. I may send them to work for me and go back to bed.
Grin

ApricotCrush · 24/04/2024 16:40

Afternoon wenches. Nice day but not warm enough to sit out in it.

Well, our internet went down again yesterday and DH spent hours on the phone to Virgin Media trying to sort it. Our meal was ruined as we traipsed up and down stairs to switch stuff off and on again, to no avail. Anyway, this morning it's back on again, so fingers crossed it will stay. Hmm

I googled Alice Dilbert and Crystal Tipps. Hahahaha! Surely not!

Glad you had a nice day Helen, and hope LetUs's day has been better.

LetUsPrey · 24/04/2024 20:30

Evening wenches.

Similar here, still quite chilly even though it was sunny.

Your clone would indeed be perfection Helen Smile

Ours went off the other week Apricot which turned out to be a region wide issue. Hope it stays.

Work was tolerable, traffic on the way home was not. I’ve been doing more knitting.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/04/2024 22:10

Evening all. Work was workish with lots of caffeine required, and an adrenaline spike when I discovered that someone has been overcharged for the past 6 months [horror]. On the plus side, I discovered it in time to undercharge them accordingly this month.

Our internet has been a bit flakey recently, but not completely died thank goodness. There would be much wailing and gnashing of teeth is that happened. (And sheer panic because neither of us can do our work without internet. [horror - again])

I saw the attached at the local library and it made me laugh without even looking inside...

LetUsPrey · 25/04/2024 07:28

Morning wenches.

Oh look, rain and wind. Le sigh.

That book Grin Eeek at the overcharging and undercharging…. wombling free

Must brace myself for the day.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/04/2024 07:48

Morning all. It's grey and gloomy and probably going to rain. <le sigh, etc> and I was up far too late <le idiot>

I shall join LetUs in the 'bracing for the day' scenario, though I would rather be wombling <nae> - preferably under a duvet - it's important to be thorough and check everywhere in your litter picking efforts.

ApricotCrush · 25/04/2024 17:08

Afternoon. Cloudy and dull here, but no rain.

Nothing going on here, just the usual routine stuff plus knitting.

Awww at Floof, very cute.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/04/2024 21:00

Evening all. It's cooooold.
Today's work-related adrenaline spike was discovering that a deadline was mid may, not early June. And that I'll need to deliver a birthday card because the post won't deliver it tomorrow.

LetUsPrey · 25/04/2024 21:31

Evening wenches.

Your brain is too full Helen and things keep falling out of it and then fight their way back in at the last minute.

Flipping cold here too. We had hailstones this evening. It’s May next week for goodness sake.

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2024 07:22

Morning wenches.

Cold again, cars are frozen, frost on roofs etc. Sunny though so I’ll take that as a Friday win.

Hope all wenches are okay and have super days.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/04/2024 07:24

Morning all. We have sunshine! Also lots of clouds floating about, but there is blue sky and sunshine too. Hurrah! Also cold - we have that too. I'm not sure we didn't have a slight ground frost.

Anyway - Friday, hurrah etc. Have a good day all.

FancyFancy · 26/04/2024 13:40

Hurrah for Friday! Am working at home and as it is sunny, there is washing on the line & Chonk is coming & going out of the window. Floof has moved from the sofa back to my bed - being a publishing sensation is clearly exhausting......

ApricotCrush · 26/04/2024 16:24

Afternoon. Pleasant day, but cold here too. DS’s plant pots came in again last night. Hmm

Grin at Floof being exhausted from being a publishing sensation. Misty is exhausted from nothing much really and is asleep on the chaise, where I usually sit.

Have a lovely evening all. Wine

LetUsPrey · 26/04/2024 21:43

Evening wenches.

It’s stupid that it’s still this cold at the end of April. Going to a christening on Sunday and it really needs to warm up a little bit before then. Also, Apricot needs to not have a load of plant pots in her house.

That sounds absolutely lovely Fancy. Has Floof taken to wearing dark glasses indoors and being too famous to talk to you daahhhlink?

More pisstakery at work but that’s fine apparently. I’m knitting and it’s the weekend and I have a drink.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 26/04/2024 22:05

Evening all.
<arf> at 'Floof the publishing sensation' Grin
Our seedlings are under cover as well Apricot. Brrr, and all that. It's codl and dark outside. I rather fancy<nto> going to bed...

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2024 08:40

Morning wenches. It's raining. Good job I watered some plants this morning Hmm No idea if it's meant to clear up later, but it's solid grey clouds at the moment.

The Manshapes have left for SportingActivity and I'm having breakfast in peace and quiet Grin

LetUsPrey · 27/04/2024 08:41

Morning wenches.

Sunny but cold. I know it’s cold because DH is complaining about it before he goes off for park run. Don’t do it then. Oh but I want to. Stop complaining then.

Usual house stuff today but moving parent visit to today. Out tonight to a comedy thing with BestFriend.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/04/2024 13:27

Grin at publishing sensation. I think it's so funny when Fräsan stretches her legs, she's behaving like she's just run a Marathon Grin

Drove to the supermarket today in a snowstorm but it's stopped since then thankfully.

Hope all wenches has a lovely day.

ApricotCrush · 27/04/2024 16:29

Afternoon. Showery and cold here. The washing is languishing on the radiators. Hope it warms up a bit for tomorrow LetUs. I think it’s supposed to. 🤞

Are you still having snow WW? That’s horrible.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 27/04/2024 17:07

Afternoon all. I have been helping Dad all day and I'm pooped. Tomorrow I will be doing the same, and will be even more pooped. It has stayed cloudy and damp and chilly. I don't think that tomorrow will be a great improvement and I will be outdoors most of the day. I am contemplating ski gear Grin (obvs. not the actual skis and boots, but the warm clothes are looking appealing!) I am recovering by eating a lindor easter bunny. Yum.

Cats are just funny. The whole huge stretching to recover from... sleeping on the bed all day. Grin It's a hard life being a TavCat!

LetUsPrey · 28/04/2024 08:12

Morning wenches.

Comedy gig was extremely funny, crying laughing type funny.

I read that as you were eating an indoor Easter bunny Helen, rather than Lindor.

Snowstorm Wicked?! Someone needs to tell this weather to behave itself.

It is hopefully picking up in a few days Apricot so I think you’re right with that.

Tons to do this morning and then we’ve got a christening this afternoon l

ApricotCrush · 28/04/2024 17:04

Afternoon. Cloudy and a bit miserable, but no rain.

I know what you mean about ski wear Helen. When we go for our evening walk round the road I wear a ski jacket that DD had when she was at school Shock, not for skiing but they were fashionable among the kids at the time, and she hasn’t worn it since. It’s lightweight but much warmer than anything else I have.

I read it as indoor Easter bunny as well LetUs. Grin Hope the christening went well.

LetUsPrey · 28/04/2024 20:41

Evening wenches.

Christening went well. Nice to see people we’ve not seen for a while.

Good to get back home though and changed out of our finery.

Have just got a bit over-confident with knitting in that I learned a new technique but then forgot to concentrate on the pattern and missed out a few steps. Arses.

<restocks Tav supply of ski wear>

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2024 21:42

Evening. The Lindor bunny was also an indoor bunny, so that's fine. It's now an ex-bunny anyway.

It was coooold today. And wet. Urgh. So most of the day was spent outside feeling not-entirely cheerful, and tired because I kept waking up last night worried that I was going to oversleep. FFS and all that. I didn't break out the ski gear in the end, just thermals. Home and warm now anyway, so hurrah.

Glad the comedy and christening (not in ski gear) went well LetUs Grin Oops re. the knitting mishap. Hope it was an easy/quick fix and you didn't have to unravel too much.
