Evening. It's rather windy out there Confused Not the weather to drive westwards tomorrow to see a friend, but ho hum.

I got three lines of washing through today (without anything being blown completely off the line), and Intelligent Cat caused much stress by being wobbly on her legs and hiding away in dark corners. One expensive vet trip later... no definitive result, but the vet thinks she may have hurt herself failing to get onto (or off) the sofa/bed/something. So we're pouring money drugs into her and keeping fingers crossed. SickyChicky is no better or worse.

Your day sounds very nice LetUs - though v. annoying about random book arrangements in the charity shops. Colour coded is fine if it's your own collection and you know what's there, but it's bloody tedious elsewhere.

<CBF> at unreliable HBFs Apricot. You'll have to make do with decorations instead. (Speaking of decorations, do you remember Elk's paper chain of HBFs? Grin)

Morning all. Sunny and windy here. Was met on the patio by chickens this morning, because the wind had rattled the door to the run open.

So, when I say we're pouring drugs into Intelligent Cat, what I mean is we're adding the expensive drugs to her food, which she then refuses to eat and hides under the utility room cupboards in a sulk. FML. We had to get her out from under a bed to get to the vets yesterday - cooperation is not the name of the game as far as she's concerned and she's obviously v. unhappy to be doing that anyway. <le sigh> <le worry, worry, worry> Sad

LetUsPrey · 07/04/2024 08:55

Morning wenches.

Oh poor IntelligentCat and poor you Helen with the worry Sad Everything crossed for her.

Windy already and sky looks ominously dark. Usual Sunday. Might finish sewing the blanket squares together and then dither about adding a border or not.

ApricotCrush · 07/04/2024 17:51

Evening wenches. Rain, wind, sun, rain, ad infinitum. Hmm

We’ve had DS’s kids here today. DGS2 is a nightmare. It’s not his fault, he has a very rare genetic disorder similar to autism and he’s very difficult to handle. DGD is brilliant with him but I feel for her as she’s constantly on alert.

Oh poor IntelligentCat, they’re such a worry when they’re not right. Hope she recovers soon. Sad

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 07/04/2024 18:47

Hope IntelligentCat gets better soon ❤

The snow is all gone thankfully.

Why would you color coordinate books in a shop? What a nightmare.

Exciting about the new caravan Apes Smile

I have a bit of an ABBA fever going on at the moment, been spending a lot of time on Youtube today watching/listening to ABBA videos. It's 50 years since they won Eurovision with Waterloo 😍

LetUsPrey · 07/04/2024 21:10

Evening wenches.

Rain for most of the day. Usual Sunday and have just done bath’n’book.

<squidge for you Apricot>

Lots of ABBA over here too Wicked. They keep saying 50 years but surely that would be like the 1950s or something? Grin

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2024 07:20

Morning wenches.

Horrible stressy dreams so I’m quite tired.

Monday and raining. Come on weather, will we ever get to the stage where I can complain about it being too hot?

Have lovely days wenches.

ApricotCrush · 08/04/2024 15:10

Afternoon. More rain, golf course closed, this is getting ridiculous. However, DH has spent the morning trying to mend my treadmill which has stopped working. We’re still doing the after-dinner walk sometimes but I need the treadmill for if it’s raining which is very often. I’ve ordered some spare part thingy off eBay so hopefully he can mend it.

<cwtch> re stressy dreams LetUs.

Gosh, is it really 50 years? Shock Always loved ABBA.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/04/2024 17:03

I know, 50 years??!! Must be a mistake Grin Listened to at lot of songs I almost forgotten about, Summer Night City, If it wasn't for the nights, Angeleyes, One of Us etc etc ❤

😱at golf course closed Apes

Angry at stressful dreams Letus

LetUsPrey · 08/04/2024 20:20

Evening wenches.

Rain for most of the day.

Closed golf course is completely unacceptable. Fingers crossed re getting your treadmill fixed.

I remember one Christmas in the late 70s me and my two older siblings each got to choose a single as one of our presents. I chose Gimme Gimme Gimme by ABBA Grin

These nights of broken sleep are catching up with me again.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/04/2024 20:27

Love that song 😍 Gimme gimme gimme a HBF after midnight Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/04/2024 23:00

Evening wenches. I have been away visiting friends and going to a concert and having a civilised mooch round historic stuff. I'm knackered!

Fingers crossed for the spare part Apricot - and the golf course re-opening.

I've been given some 90% dark chocolate. On the plus side, I'm certainly not going to trough it in one sitting! Grin

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2024 07:42

Morning wenches.

Got to love a wench remix Wicked Grin

Sounds fun but tiring Helen. That chocolate does sound like it needs to be savoured!

Rain and windy again today.

Have lovely days wenches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2024 09:30

Morning.

We were watching an ABBA programme last week, though I can't remember what it was or what channel.

So far today I have slipped down the last two stairs at home and hit my head on the chicken coop Confused. I've managed early morning exercise without disasters/falling over, so hopefully that's the extant of my mishaps for today. Honestly though, you can see how people kill themselves falling downstairs. It was the last step I slipped on/missed and I ended up on hands and knees on the floor. <runs out to buy stair lift/firemans pole> What could possibly go wrong with the latter Grin Do you think they come with complimentary firemen? Though having worked next to a firestation once, the view wasn't remotely attractive, so I'll need some of those ones on the calendar that come with additional kittens.

ApricotCrush · 09/04/2024 16:25

Afternoon. More rain this morning but it’s cleared up now. Just been to Sainsbury’s while DH collected DGS.

I’ve finished the jumper, hurrah! I haven’t tried it on yet so it could be a disaster although it looks alright. Hmm

That sounds a nice trip Helen. The one to visit friend, not down the stairs. Grin How is IntelligentCat?

Gimme Gimme Gimme has always been my favourite ABBA song.

LetUsPrey · 09/04/2024 19:34

Evening wenches.

Absolutely tipped it down all day and the wind tried to blow me back towards the office at 5pm. Blue skies now but it’s still breezy.

Are we going to have to wrap you in bubble wrap as well Helen?

To be honest I’m that knackered these days I’d be happy with just the kittens.

I’m sure the jumper is perfect Apricot. I’ve parked/hidden the yet to be completed cardigan. I’ve finished the blanket and a couple of other little things. My next idea is to make play fruit and vegetables for great nephew and great niece to keep at my sister’s house. Fortunately neither of them are anywhere near old enough to be playing shop or anything like that, so I’ll have time.

FancyFancy · 09/04/2024 21:21

Of course that's your favourite Abba song apricot - wench!

Not much of any excitement here, work & more work and a bit of gardening. Chonk is decidedly less of a chonk now, he's developing a waist!. Floof on the other hand is an absolute pudding. He is getting fond of being groomed though which is good as he has so much fur. This means that Chonk is now fond of getting groomed because he has serious fomo <eyerolls>

Fingers crossed for illing animals helen

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/04/2024 22:42

Evening all. The weather really wasn't very nice today - not much rain, but cold and v. windy.

LOL at my nice trip<nto> Grin I have managed to not do anything else towards breaking myself today. Yet.

IntelligentCat seems to be on the mend now. She's not hiding any more, but still very cautious, and very suspicious when she goes anywhere. I'm wondering if IdiotKitty jumped on her and hurt her - she can't hear him coming so he could easily have sent her flying. SickyChicky on the other hand is not improving. Sad

Am with you re. the kittens LetUs (providing they're not a batshit as IdiotKitty).

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2024 08:57

Morning wenches.

Chonk and Floof sound so incredibly adorable!

Good news re some improvement re IntelligentCat but not so good re SickyChicky. Fingers crossed.

Day off today as DS2 was supposed to have a hospital appointment but that was cancelled late last week but he’s also got attempt number whatever at (I think) his final immunisations. We shall see how that goes.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/04/2024 12:13

Fingers crossed for MiniLetUs's jabs... I disappeared into the 'karma' thread this morning, but managed to climb out and am now working.

It's nice and sunny and I should probably go outside for sunshine and fresh air, once I feel that work is progressing anyway. Tonight I have a local gig with a friend, which I could take or leave to be honest, but it's a chance to catch up with my friend, so it will be fun from that perspective.

Awww at Chonk and Floof.

ApricotCrush · 10/04/2024 17:07

Afternoon. Raaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnn. Done a bit of ironing but not much else.

Chonk and Floof enjoying being groomed sounds lovely. Misty isn’t keen, but her fur isn’t very long.

Glad IntelligentCat is recovering but poor SickyChicky. Sad Enjoy your evening Helen.

The knitted fruit and veg sound fun. Hope all went well for MiniLetUs.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/04/2024 17:54

So, what kind of food are Chonk on? I need to lose some weight Hmm

I think Chonk might be a bit insecure and if Floof is getting groomed maybe he thinks mummy loves Floof more and therefore Chonk must be groomed as well ❤

Glad IntelligentCat is getting better ❤

We had a major thunderstorm that woke me up last night and then when I fell asleep again I had a horrible nightmare about us being invaded, there where soldiers outside the house Confused

I watched that French Musketeers movie last weekend and it was surprisingly good. No FAF though, except Eva Green of course. Looking forward to part 2.

Hope everything went well with DS2 today Letus.

Hope your head is fine Helen. I'm really impressed with your early morning exercise 🎖

Feeling a bit restless, it's been almost a year since I've last been abroad. My travel companions have a hard time getting their arses out of the carriage Swedish saying and haven't responded to any of my suggestions so I'm thinking of maybe just pop over to London on my own, maybe in September. I feel like doing cultural stuff like visiting the Highgate Cemetery, doing a Jack The Ripper Walk etc, that would be fun 😀

I'm going to treat myself to a glass of wine tonight, been to the hospital today and had a doctor poke around in my butt, getting used to that now, so I think I deserve 🍷

LetUsPrey · 10/04/2024 18:02

Evening wenches.

You definitely deserve a large glass of wine after that Wicked! And a horrible dream too. A hard time getting their arses out of the carriage - that’s an epic saying Grin

DS2 eventually had his jab. Hurrah! It did take a while and she did practically jump him to get it done but it’s done now.

Went into town after that in the pissing down rain which only stopped an hour or so ago. Spent the afternoon knitting.

Enjoy the gig tonight Helen.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/04/2024 20:41

So, I went ahead and booked a trip to London 20-23/9, I'm so excited Grin

FancyFancy · 10/04/2024 21:17

Hurrah for booking trips, getting jabs done and happier IntelligentCat 😁, let's hope SickyChicky catches the good vibes.

Oh Chonk is definitely needy, squawks at me a lot, DDad loves it as he can hear Chonk when I'm on the phone to him.

Had hoped to do stuff in the garden after work, but it was cold and miserable so I didn't bother.
