We have actual sunshine today.

Had a lovely time last night but there was a lot of dancing so my feet and knees are feeling it today.

DH has been watching Rogue Heroes and enjoying it very much. I’ve seen bits of it.

Lots of washing, some shopping, must get going with the knitting.

Have needed to do a bit of work today due to license shenanigans at work this week that are far too boring to explain nothing too onerous though, so I have pootled along, blasting out some Muse & trying not to get distracted by the bassistline

Evening all. <Waves to Fancy> we're home again after abortive trip to cancelled concert. I have consoled us with hot chocolates and am planning an early night because I'm knackered.

It's bloody cold out there - frost coming down already and I 've been out to bring in the last pumpkins. I do hats, gloves, slippers, umbrellas, and anything else that will keep me warm and dry That's a very nice hat Wicked - you'll need it with your weather

Rain here but looks like it might dry up. Washing on and ironing ready to go. DS2 seems to have woken up in a crappy mood so that’s nice.

Morning all. The frost turned to rain at some point overnight, so the birdbath still had some ice floating in it this morning, but everything's very wet underfoot and it's generally miserable.

The cats are very pleased that we came home, and it's rather nice to have a day where we have no plans at all. It feels like a justifiable duvet day, since we weren't expecting to be here

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew. I just noticed a small weeping cut on my hand, and twigged that it's where I burnt my hand a day ago. Best get that cleaned up.

Morning. Feeling lucky that we didn't have a frost or snow overnight. Mind you, I do like that hat ww. I'm also a hat/scarf/gloves/extra socks type of person in the winter. I have already dug out the stone hot water bottle this year for bed warming duties. If I end up working at home any days this winter I think I'll be using it as a footwarmer.

Afternoon. Lovely sunny morning so we decided to go on the nature walk with DS and Co which was postponed from the other week because it was muddy. We parked up and the heavens opened, so it's postponed again.

Shame about the concert Helen, but yay for mini wench visit. Hope the hand heals soon.

Morning wenches. I did a very boring post last night, but apparenlty it was so boring that MN didn't post it Yesterday was a misterable and wet housework day.

This morning it's clear and cold. Looks frosty ((I haven't been out yet) and the few high clouds have gone through shades of pink. There's also a sliver of a crescent moon up in the sky.

Today's excitement will be a food shop, and lots of work. Whoop.

Ah, also various TB photos on Twitter last night of TB doing promo for a new film. Klokken...something? Hair and beard back to shaggy, keep warm, it's cold out there approx S2 Athos style.

Afternoon. Rain all day, dark already. Misty went to sleep when it was dark this morning and she’s still asleep now. She’s missed a whole day. I’ve booked her in for her jabs next week. No idea how she’ll be.

S2 Athos was definitely my favourite of all TB’s characters.

Our cats just spend all day curled up asleep irrespective of the weather apricot - with the odd waking moment for more food! Fingers crossed that Misty is ok with the jabs.

I think Misty has the right idea - cold, wet & miserable here, have actually needed the heating on in the daytime

On a cheerier note, all the advent calendars have now arrived. Not the most straightforward when your DC aren't massive chocolate fans as there are only so many times you can give them the Haribo one plus it has a disappointing amount of Tangfastics in it #FirstWordProblem Anyhow, I managed to find DS a mixed snacks one and DD a scented candle one, and I have an Italian biscuits one, in the absence of an hbf one.

I’m sure I recall a pork crackling based advent calendar a few years ago. Not that I had one but seeing it online. I think an advent calendar is the only way to get DS2 to have one chocolate at a time.

There is still a pork crackling advent calendar letus I like the stuff but probably wouldn't want some every day! Last year I had a cheddar cheese one - well I shared it with DS, it was pretty good but feels a bit extravagant for just one person.

I wish I was a cat 🙄

Day off today filled with medical appointment (me), Covid booster, medical appointment (DS2), with a trip to Ikea squeezed in hopefully.

I thought it was meant to be drier today, but maybe that's later. In the meantime, I need to lie on the floor and do the exercises that the physio gave me. #tedium. Cheap physio hack though - a racerback sports bra does a good job as a lightweight wearable posture support, for all sorts of back issues.

Alternatively, I will lie on the floor and idiot kitten will climb on top of me and prevent any exercise until I get up and assume the position of cat bed
