Change of circumstances dla wait time 2022

Hi I am a single mother of a 9 year old boy with JIA , I put in a change of circumstances to dla as he gets low care but this was awarded for his mental health before his diagnosis and change in care needs . I have been told my application must sit in queue for 17 weeks before it’s looked at . I have been doing some research online about this wait time and seem to find nothing . Would love some advise on other people currently waiting on a coc .

I dont understand how someone's can be done that quick tbh if thats the case does that mean they do not go off scan dates then as we are all waiting from june ? Im way confused 😕 xx

@Cass29 as you can imagine alot of other parents were happy for them but also fuming. They are supposed to be done in date order. Not when they feel like doing one. Near enough 21 weeks now it's actually a joke xx

Yeah i agree you are happy some one got there news quick but seems unfair when it's took 4 weeks and we have waited 20 plus it has to be fair for everyone i mean the more weeks we wait the more anxious we all get would be great if everyones was as quick as that persons xx

Is there other people on that page waiting for Coc ? I wonder whats the longest someone has waited ive only seen on here 22 weeks xx

Yh @cass29 quite a few. Saw some that waited 24 weeks. But dont no when they sent in forms etc xx

Tell me about it 😂 I'm just ready for it to be over now. Were going for HRM for little man i doubt he will even get it dont no why im so anxious as i just already no. Its just doing my headin 😂 xx

I'm on 20 weeks now the wait is exhausting x

@Mkd1322 oh wow! That’s not fair at all! I’m going to make a complaint about it. Something needs to be done as it’s not consistent and they are moving the dates every time you ring xx

Last time I did change of circumstances was only a few weeks wait this time I posted for over 2 weeks ago and haven't even had confirmation that they have recieved the form. Does anyone know if you can send more evidence I've recieved another letter from paediatrician which I could use as evidence but already sent previous evidence off.

@Angeldust12 i never got a letter saying received but in august got the sorry we are taking so long letter so i thought arh least they have it and i waited to week 16 to ring n just asked what ny scan date was because i didn't know lol. Yeah you can send in evidence at any time x

@Liverpoolgirl40 i would ring back today for yours and see if its done yet as they were meant to be on the 9th yesterday and some are working quicker xx

I called again today, a cheeky woman who tried to tell me “you have already been told it’s a 20 and half week wait” I had to politely remind her of her job and of mine as a parent. Asked her why it was taking long and she responded “this is how it’s always been” ermmmm NO! Something needs to change my son is so desperate for this response I don’t think they realise how what a difference it makes in peoples lives. I’m making a complaint about wait times, not sure what the issue is but quite concerning that they have not acknowledged there is one!

@Cass29 I just can’t ring again at the moment, I am fed up to the back teeth of them! Xx

@Liverpoolgirl40 thats understandable i suppose if you had rang and they had said it was not done it might of ruined your weekend so probably for the best i have a feeling you will know this week coming. Good news is they work the weekends to look at them so that helps xx

@Cass29 yeh I thought that. Plus, listening to that hold music again would be enough to send me over the edge! Ha. I hope so although not holding out any hope! Xx

@Liverpoolgirl40 yeah 40 minutes it took me yesterday i was like why do we put ourselves through it ha. Fingers crossed its this week xx

Just look on that group again another coc done with scan date the 14th of august 😫 i swear they are just doing them when ever they want to. Xx

@Cass29 i think i may stay off it cus it's winding me up but then again I'm to nosy 😂. If the claims aint done next week I'm putting a complaint in its not fare on us all xx

@Angeldust12 I'm not sure where you send it. When i had a letter cone through off the psychiatrist i read it out to them and they put it on his file xx

@Mkd1322 yeah same i was always told 20 weeks so il respect that but when you hear of others getting theres sorted so quick its annoying and unfair when people like us have waited since june it has to be fair ours should be done before august ones i just cant understand how they are working it tbh. Like they were on the 7th till the 9th of june for 2 weeks but people are getting awarded from august and October makes no sense to me xx

And why has it took 2 weeks to do 2 days aswell ? X

How is that even fair that August get sorted before July and June I'm June and 20 weeks now since they had my coc. I rang them up in may for the forms and wasn't sent them until June after having to call back and ask where they were they even mixed up that... I was told last time I called call back end off November 😱and that will take me to almost 25 weeks wait.. i was told they were working on date 14th June on wards and my scan date is 24th... also before that call I was only.calling them because was told was being looked at after 17weeks + so was told call back on the 26th October to be told completely different so it goes to show they are clueless is to what's going on. Hope you lovely ladies get outcome u all deserve 😗😗😗😘
