Well last night was first time we’d left a gig early. The band themselves were excellent and I’m glad I finally got to see them. The sound quality was shocking though. Been to gigs there before and never had that problem. And so many people back and forth to and from the bar all the time, chatting, not facing the stage so it was impossible to properly get into it. Oh well, at least it didn’t rain.

Am very tired though and there’s a very grey looking old lady staring back at me from the mirror.

Afternoon. Sun and showers again. I sat outside this afternoon but it started raining.

Shame the gig wasn’t up to expectations LetUs. at the grey looking old lady. Surely not. When I look in the mirror in the morning I see a cross between my mother and my aunt just before they died, at 97.

I am at the “so tired I can barely see straight” stage of tiredness. How very dramatic. Work can get in the fucking bin.

I can only say that your mother and aunt must have also been youthful looking, glamorous women Apricot if that’s what you see in the mirror.

It was Foals Fancy. Had tickets in 2019 but I was really ill so couldn’t go, had tickets for 2020 but everyone was ill, so this was third time lucky. Or not as it turned out. Hope FancyDD’s gig was a good one.

I hear it’s the people that make Sweden such a nice place to visit Wicked.

I have been out and met up with some friends for a meal, which was fun, but I'm knackered and need to go to bed.

Morning all. Turns out that last night's internet problems were mostly due to DS downloading a new game onto his xbox and hogging all the bandwidth.

We have sunshine again, and about 8mm rain in the water gauge from the past 36 hours - plus a very nice sparkly spiders web across the top of it. 10/10 for artistic spider effort.

IdiotKitten is busy being an idiot running about the house, chirruping and then having a nice cuddle which then ended up with him seeing if I was edible yet. FFS. IdiotKitten has gone outside and from the sound of it the birds are unimpressed.

I suspect FancyDD was nearer the front. We got talking on the train to someone who’d been a bit closer and she said it was much better there. There was just no room for us to move where we were so couldn’t get away from all the traffic of people backwards and forwards. Ideally we’d have got there earlier but no matter. Pleased she said it was good especially given she’d had a bit more travel involved!

Thanks for the cwtches and everything wenches. Am feeling quite down about work at the moment, as are several of my close colleagues. Throw in menopause (for me anyway) and you’ve got yourself a right party.

At least it’s Friday.

<cwtches letus>, it's a bit similar at my work - too much work, not enough experienced people. At least my colleagues are nice though - we're just all tired & stressed.

Evening wenches. I am home alone and have worked out how to watch iplayer on the TV! Except our bloody internet is buffering it, so it's not exactly a fast match to watch. I've paused it to see if it plays better on catch-up. answer - nope. If 'D'S has left his xbox updating I'm going to have words.... yep. he'd left the xbox on. I've switched it off, and, miraculously, I can watch the tennis. <le ENORMOUS humphy visage>

Now I shall concentrate on the Murray/Williams match. Hope that Wicked is having a lovely day and that LetUs has had a better day (everything crossed except legs).

It’s rained for most of the day, quite heavily at times. Lovely July weather. Work wasn’t great but whatever. It’s Friday, there’s been some excellent results in the tennis, and I’ve got a glass of Pimms. Many <cwtches> for those in similar circumstances.

That sums it up perfectly Fancy - too much work, not enough experienced people.

I’ve been knitting and the evening has whizzed by. Watching some tv now with DH and then bed.

The sunshine is doing its best to appear and it’s finally stopped raining which I hope will be done for the day.

Shopping today as I think I’ve found somewhere with basic short sleeve shirts for me for work that don’t cost a fortune. They also appear to have dresses not made of nylon or other synthetic fabrics for wearing after work should we get a heatwave. So if there’s a crap summer, it’s my fault.

General housework but lots of tennis and knitting today.

Afternoon. I have had a lie-in and then pancakes for breakfast.

We have sunshine and wind here, I need to do hoovering and wash floors. I am fully able struggling to control my excitement and can't wait to get started.

Afternoon. Raining on and off but DH managed to do the lawns, so he’s happy.

DS popped round for an hour this morning with his DC which was nice. I did some knitting this afternoon. It’s a summer jumper and it will be winter again at this rate.

Have done lots of washing. The shop didn’t have the shirt in my size so I’ll try another branch on Monday. The size I tried wasn’t too bad but there was a bit of a gape. Dressed were a no.
