Appears to be lovely and sunny today. Short day today but no time for much relaxing when I get home as DS2 at the GP.

Surprise visit from DS1 yesterday when we got back. Frightened me half to death when the front door was unlocked, no alarm on and I could hear the tv. Then logic kicked in.

Morning all. We have sunshine too, which is nice after yesterday's rain. (DH put that washing out yesterday which is good but also because he knew the forecast!)
Hurrah for unexpected visits from DS1 LetUs Good luck with the GP - we have a dentist check-up for DS (a rare and mythical event over the past few years!)

Nice to have a surprise visit LetUs. DD lets herself in, which is fine, but I always jump when I hear the key in the door if I'm not expecting her. DS rings the doorbell as he's always losing his key.

We're going out for a meal with Sis-in-Law and BIL later. We don't see them very often as they live over the other side of the country.

Yes, the sunshine didn’t last long here either. Anywench care to guess who went off to work with no coat or umbrella and then got a bit soggy walking to the car at home time? In my defence, no rain was forecast.

GP visit was okay. Could do with seeing the one who I know is particularly good with mental health and anxiety issues, but today got the job done for the most part.

Work was a big old bag of shite and is about to get a whole lot worse from next week,

I’m going to spend the evening knitting I think.

At the ER now. My GP sent me here. I don’t have anal fistula, it’s an abscess but it’s already on the mend according to the nurse that examined me, she doesn’t seem that impressed. Waiting for the doctor now. I suspect my GP might have overreacted a bit.

Braces are brilliant these days Helen. DGD has a brace and it seems to be working well. DS also had one which sorted him out. On the other hand I wore one for two years when I was 12 and as soon as I stopped the tooth in question popped right out again. I had it crowned about 10 years later. They've moved on a lot since then.

You're doing well with your knitting LetUs. I can't seem to get around to mine.

Oh WW I had to laugh although it isn't funny. At least it's not as bad as you thought. Hope it soon heals.

Oh Wicked, and you didn’t even get bought dinner first. Seriously though, pleased it’s turned out not to be as serious as first thought and there’s no need for surgery.

DS is thoroughly unbothered by the concept of a brace - I think they're much more common these days (as well as being a bite more effective!)

In other news I've given up trying to book a summer holiday somewhere hot and sunny because I'm getting no help from the rest of the family. It's quite tempting to book one for just me!

A short weekend for me as I'm up to full time for the next couple of weeks <sighs>

DS had two teeth missing helen, the upside is that it seems to qualify them for a brace on the NHS even though their teeth aren't that crooked. From memory, take painkillers when they're fitted before they start to hurt and same again every time they're tightened. DS can take them too 😂Oh, and DS said that cold things help with the pain, apparently a teacher told him that and went into the science behind it. Which I have now forgotten.

Morning wenches. I'm up early to help with a car boot sale. I got up extra early because I woke up and decided to have a leisurely start, which is good because it means I can deal with KillerKitty's rabbit carnage briefly mooch online as well.

The sun is splitting the sky and I need to remember suncream and find the sunglasses that I wore yesterday and have now vanished

DS1 was told he needed braces a few years ago but mustn’t have been a proper “need” as nothing on the NHS. DS2 has a baby tooth with nothing under it so it’s still there. When the dentist asks when was it we went to the dental hospital and what did they say, I just look at him like it was years ago and I can’t remember stuff from last week. And I know they wrote to him so perhaps check your records?

Have been pottering around the garden this afternoon, moving a few plants and digging up some unwtanted ones. Also have cut the sweet pea flowers as I am away with work for a few days as from tomorrow. So tonight my front room will smell lovely as they're in there.

Afternoon. Nice day. I was doing some weeding in the garden this afternoon when the Red Arrows went round the area. Frightened the life out of me. They're appearing at an air show a few miles away. I threw the weeds down and dived for my phone to take a pic. You'd need a magnifying glass to see them. DH is at DS's and will have had a much better view as he's nearer the airfield.
