Evening wenches.

I forgot I’d mentioned the walk this morning so I was looking round for Apricot’s hidden microphones or cameras because how does she know I’m just back in from my walk? And then I scrolled back. Muppet. Grin

Phew at not quite forgotten school event!

I should really take my nail polish off because it’s looking a bit tatty, but it’s just too much effort.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/06/2022 21:07

LOL at super-spy Apricot keeping tabs on wenches by, um, reading their posts Grin
Your nail polish isn't tatty LetUs - it's fashionably rustic

LetUsPrey · 22/06/2022 07:32

Morning wenches.

Fashionably rustic - I like that Helen. Or I could call it distressed like me at work

Another sunny day ahead with an early finish so I’m planning to get into the garden for a little bit when I get home before cracking on with housework and homework stuff.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/06/2022 07:34

Morning - bright and sunny <wilts>

You could match your nails to the state of work LetUs - but then they'd be permanently distressed Sad Enjoy the garden tonight.

I have BoringOfficeJob so, of course, I slept in by 10 minutes and have thrown my morning out. <scoffs breakfast; throws clothes on; sprints out the door>

Have a good day all!

ApricotCrush · 22/06/2022 16:36

Afternoon. Very hot and sunny here, I managed an hour outside this morning but it drove me inside. Lovely though.

Oh I forgot to mention yesterday that it was the longest day downhill all the way now. How did we get here so quickly?

We took DH's car in for service this afternoon which means he'll be using mine tomorrow to go to DS's. Don't like it.

Hope LetUs has managed to get out in the garden.

Evening wenches.

I did get into the garden but it got a bit warm for me. Work was there.

I only realised very late on yesterday it was the longest day. I do like the light evenings.

<builds go kart from wooden crate and some pram wheels> There you go, some transport for MrApricot so Apricot can keep her car tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/06/2022 22:44

Evening all. It has been a day. I have two routes home. One was shut, and the other hand a contraflow. The first diversion was adding over an hour to the journey time. My first choice alternative was stuffed, and I ended up going all round the houses to get home. Very tiring. I also did a taxi-run for car servicing purposes.

<arf> at the go-kart for MrA

Hope everywench had a decent day - I'm off to bed.

LetUsPrey · 23/06/2022 07:39

Morning wenches.

Urgh at road closures and traffic.

Beautiful sunshine again. Going to be hot so I’ve got soup for lunch. 🤦🏻‍♀️

<attaches rope to go kart for steering> would be irresponsible to let MrApricot drive it without.

They mentioned thunder on the weather last night Fancy so I thought of you 🌩

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/06/2022 07:50

Morning all.
<adds brakes to go-kart>
Also hot.sunny here. StupidKitten is trotting about chirruping at me, with no indication of what he wants (probably 'something to kill') He has also been up trees and in bushes and generally been daft while I was outside choring.

I have not much enthusiasm for anything today, but at least I don't have to go out and brave the state of the roads. Confused

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/06/2022 17:37

My vacation starts now, three weeks off from work 😀🍷🍷🍷😎

ApricotCrush · 23/06/2022 18:39

Evening. It was supposed to be sunny here too, but it wasn't. We even had a shower this afternoon on my dry washing.

Grin at the go-kart. He can definitely have that next time. We went to collect his car this afternoon and my car feels like someone else's after he's had it. He alters everything and I can't get the seat back into my position, consequently I'm over-accelerating and getting criticised. The traffic was horrendous and he says 'follow me, I know a better route'. It was at least 8 miles out of our way, including one turn-around because he's gone the wrong way, and at least a mile over rough road because they're resurfacing it. It would have been quicker and cheaper to sit in the queue. Anyway I went to Lidl after that and when I came to load the boot, it was full of his tools. The boot is about the size of a suitcase. I haven't calmed down yet. Angry

Sympathy with your road problems Helen. Awww at Kitten.

Ooooooo WW, we're about half-way through watching House of Gucci. It popped up on Prime and when I saw your man was in it, I thought we'd give it a try. It's errrm different, but we're enjoying it.

ApricotCrush · 23/06/2022 18:41

Oh WW, your post has just appeared. How lovely, hope you enjoy it, including the move.

Evening wenches.

Three weeks off sounds amazing Wicked. Enjoy!

<Paddington hard stare> at MrApricot

Love more tales of StupidKitten

Work was <whispers disbelievingly> not too bad today. However, it was raining when I left and I had no coat, jacket or umbrella so I got a bit soggy. I did get a new flavour of vodka to try though so hurrah!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/06/2022 20:14

Evening all. I have worked and been out for a bike ride. That's about it. Having done a taxi service for someone yesterday, their 'hayfever' gave them a positive covid test today <le sigh> Fingers crossed I escape that.

Excellent news re. holidays wicked - enjoy, even if it does involve packing (boo!) and unpacking into your new house (yay!)

<cbf> at MrA at mucking about with your car apricot, and also at the rain on your washing.

Shock at 'not too bad' work LetUs

Why does it feel like Friday?
<lines up Wine etc, anyway>

LetUsPrey · 24/06/2022 07:41

Morning wenches.

Sunny again but I’ve remembered to put an umbrella in my bag today.

Enjoy the first day of your holiday Wicked!

Fingers crossed for you Helen. Also felt like Friday yesterday.

Still, it’s Friday today and the new vodka was very nice but I shall need to confirm that tonight.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2022 08:19

Morning all.

Valuable wench researching skills LetUs - we all know that repeat samples are needed for a through taste test. Grin

It's cloudy here today, but still warm. I have no idea what the weather forecast is.

Brew all round, it feels like a matchstick morning.
<yawns>
<considers going back to bed for half an hour>

ApricotCrush · 24/06/2022 16:54

Afternoon. Cloudy here, but still warm. We've been to the garden centre to belatedly get some plants for the front garden and are in the throes of planting them. We're so late this year because of DS's log cabin. Hmm I'm just waiting for DH to finish digging another border and then I'll go and plant some more.

How strange, I thought it was Friday yesterday, I even said the traffic was so bad because it was Friday. Hmm

Oh Helen, hope you've escaped covid.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 24/06/2022 20:02

It is finally Friday - god it's been a long week, thought I'd posted, but clearly not. Have been working and not much else really, am bloody knackered but as DD is back for a few days I don't suppose I'll be sensible and get an early night Grin maybe if I had pillow like the ones upthread I may never get out of bed

LetUsPrey · 24/06/2022 21:05

Evening wenches.

Hurrah for FancyDD being home!

I bet your garden <nae> looks beautiful Apricot.

Fingers crossed you’re still Covid free Helen.

We had sun, rain, warm, bit cooler at various stages of the day.

Tomorrow is a trip to local bookshop to collect a prize I won in a competition they did. Hope to nip over to craft place too. For tonight I am re-sampling the new vodka.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/06/2022 22:47

Evening all. I'm covid free as far as I know - will do a test tomorrow morning.

You know that thing where you have a potential password breach and have to update all your passwords? That. FML.

Glad to hear that FancyDD is home.

Whoop for book and vodka and crafts LetUs

Is MrA digging a whole new border Apricot?

(I have an awful lot of passwords.)

LetUsPrey · 25/06/2022 07:52

Morning wenches

What an absolute pain Helen.

Is sunny and I can hear the washing machine beeping. Still in bed though.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/06/2022 08:11

Morning. My covid test says I don't have it, which is obvs. 100% reliable and completely trustworthy Hmm But I feel fine so that's good.

Did quite a lot of gardening last night, and will be doing more today. Also looks like a good washing day here.

ApricotCrush · 25/06/2022 17:24

Afternoon. We had a lot of rain in the night, so the new plants will have enjoyed that as the ground was very dry. Not a new border Helen, he was just de-weeding one. What a nuisance with the passwords.

Yay for FancyDD being home and bookshop prize.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 25/06/2022 17:47

Have been out for lunch with DD and DS, was very nice. Am feeling sooooo tired though - also took a covid test this morning as I was so lethargic, also negative.

What was the prize letus?

What a nuisance about the passwords helen 😫

Can you send some rain this way please apricot?

LetUsPrey · 25/06/2022 18:51

Evening wenches.

The sunshine didn’t last and at one point this afternoon I hadn’t noticed it was absolutely chucking it down and the washing by that time was wetter than when it came out of the machine. Quite breezy too. <sends rain to Fancy>

Better restock the linament cupboard for all the gardening wenches.

Prize was a murder mystery book. Looking forward to starting it when I’ve finished my current one.
