Evening. Weird weather, we had snow this afternoon. Only for five minutes, but honestly, it's May tomorrow.

We had an unexpected garden visit this afternoon from DD and DGS, fortunately not during the snow. Nice to have a chat.

Time does fly Fancy, they say you give birth to them then you're teaching them to drive. It does feel like that.

Still yawning - waking up at 5:45 this morning really didn't help, so I yawned my way through work - spreadsheets and reports galore. DS SportingActivity may be cancelled tomorrow, which will stuff up my lie-in a bit For some reason, I don't sleep nearly was well when DH and DS are crashing about the house, or when DH is still in bed and snoring Ho hum...

Weather can’t make its mind up but I’m going to risk pegging the washing out.

Usual weekend stuff with an added day which will involve DH complaining at some point “but it’s a holiday, why is there shouting?” because holidays, like weekends, must have everyone getting along swimmingly.

Today I really must go up into the loft and set traps for the things making scuttling noises. It's just the effort of getting out the ladder, etc... Except I'm busy being a cat bed just now, and that's a very important job that can't be interrupted.

It is chilly today considering it's nearly May, lots of plants are rather slow to get going this year.

DD was with schoolfriends yesterday, so we didn't manage our usual Friday night apart from some comedy - she was rather more interested in having a bit of a rant about her dad.

Afternoon. I was going to do gardening, but it's raining. And hailing. I have resumed my position as 'cat bed on the sofa'.

I didn't get to sleep until 4am. How can that happen? I did numerous walks around the house, tried deep breathing, tensing and relaxing arms and legs, counting numbers and nothing! Consequently I can't stop yawning now.

I did manage to get washing on the line, but had to bring it in before it was dry because I was going out, and didn't want to risk it being rained on!

FancyDD is fine thanks, just a bit frustrated by unhelpful input into her deliberations about uni stuff.

Have got very little done today as lazed around earlier and then developed a headache. That has gone, but only after it was too late to get much done. Ah well, at least there was enough time to watch trashy tv

We had a sunny cloudy start too. There was the remnants of a frost at 5:30. Yes, 5:30 - I seem to be on a session of waking up around then, and I figured out that I might as well just get up and feed livestock, then I could just go back to bed and not worry about it. Anyway, I have washing on, and will keep my fingers crossed for decent weather. Off to help FriendWithHorses shortly. Hopefully the headache I woke up with will FTFO...

Oh - was mooching through TV listings - a very young Jamie from Outlander is in a Midsomer Murders this week... Though I don't know what channel. That didn't register. It's obviously an old one.

And, having said that we didn't have any baby birds - I went into a shed yesterday and got buzzed by two fledgling robins, which the parents shouted at me

I think that episode is King’s Crystal. The chap who played Inspector Craddock in BBC Miss Marple is in it too and barely looks any different. I’ve just checked and they’re 22 years apart. Not fair. Anyway, it’s on ITV3 on Tuesday.

Afternoon. Slept a bit better but keep waking up every hour or so, very annoying. Weather's a bit meh today. DH has gone to play golf with DS and rain is forecast.

DH didn’t get to watch the football as it got cancelled. As we were watching some of the protests, it reminded me that weirdly I’d had a dream last night of a big crowd of people causing bother at that football ground and going on to the pitch and thinking in the dream “they’ll get fined, you’re not allowed to go on the pitch”. If I dream of lottery numbers, I’m buying a ticket!

Evening all. Headache is still there. But I have had lots of fresh air and have planted all the potatoes. So that's good. Also got a load of washing dried on the line.
