ww I was just worried about all the shagging against stonework - with her underneath - and wondering how realistic it was that they would have sex all over the house as the servants would see them. I mean, I know that the upper classes were used to doing quite a lot in front of the servants, but I assumed that would've been in front of their personal servants rather than the butler, the footman, housemaids etc!

Work was crap. Anxiety/doom is not going away. I’m watching the new series of A Discovery of Witches which remains enjoyable tosh but this time with the added bonus of Matthew Goode in leather.

It’s on HBO here which I don’t have but maybe I can watch it somewhere else in the future, it’s ok, I can wait

Nothing to report, except my oven packed up last night. DH has it and the kitchen in bits so I'm sure I will be regaled with what's wrong with it over the meal this evening, which will have to be heated up cooked in the microwave.

Today DS2 has an appointment at the optician and I’ll also be dragging him out for another walk. Other than that nothing planned. Oh I got some plant kits for Christmas so I might do those and then they’ll be dead by the end of the month. Poor innocent plants.

Plans involve tidying/emptying the room before the roofers start work. And looking out of the window for HBFs-in-the-snow. (Spoiler - there won't be any.)

Afternoon. Sunny morning, but it's clouded over now. No snow!

The oven is still gracing the middle of the kitchen. It looks like I'm going to have to do without the fan and just use it as a conventional oven. It's not the fan that's gone but something very complicated which I don't understand in spite of much explanation. It is 20 years old but I really don't want to replace it because they now have the grill on top of the oven and I prefer it the other way round. The grill is fine so the expense isn't justified.

I'm no good with plants LetUs. The Venus flytrap is looking as if it's on death's door.
