Afternoon. Very cold wind here too.

Grin at Adam's enormous talent.

I can't compete with Helen on the wildlife front, but I do have a pair of robins who wait on the fence for me to feed them at lunchtime. They have to be quick though, because they are followed by a pair of blackbirds and then magpies.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/02/2020 19:55

Aw Smile robin's are cheeky little things. I have one that waits for me to put out the chicken food every morning, then dives in to eat it once I've stepped away. Years ago we had one that would eat out of your hand.

The wind got very windy here today, thoroughly unpleasant.

(and still I forget to hit post. FFS) At least I didn't hit refresh this time.

LetUs - did you know that Ben Fogel has a new series on C5 tonight?

LetUsPrey · 04/02/2020 21:24

Evening wenches. Am out for a meal tonight. Feeling very full and ready for a nap.

The wind died down but I kept the ropes and chains. And Aramis.

We have a robin too. They’re taking over the world!

Ben Fogle not on my List Helen (one of the few> Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/02/2020 22:26

Oh - who am I mixing him up with then? Oh - Dan Snow, maybe? I think> Oops, anyway.

I need to head for the hayloft, but I just just turned into a designated cat bed for two cats.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 04/02/2020 23:22

Am jealous of the tame robins. When it comes to wildlife though I don't think you can beat shouty Aramis in a wood.....

LetUsPrey · 05/02/2020 07:57

Morning wenches. Dan Snow mmmmm. Shouty Aramis in a wood mmmmmm.

Foggy and brrrrrrr. I think we should have a lock in today at the Tav.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/02/2020 08:25

Morning. No fog here, but I'm happy to join the lock-in Grin

Have just finished with feeding livestock and an impromptu weeding session on the way back into the house. Wildlife - one deer in the distance and about 60 swans.

If I recall, shouty Aramis may be open to a bit of a beating? Or actually, I think it was just being tied up for fun wasn't it? Either way - Aramis with wood(land) for all TeamA...

Gooood morning wenches

ApricotCrush · 05/02/2020 17:21

Afternoon. Nice day here and it's still light just about.

We've been out for lunch with SIL and BIL so I don't have to cook. Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 05/02/2020 19:09

Hurrah for not cooking Apricot!

I have had a boring day of work, and that's mostly it. I did get a load of washing on the line but it was left out until late so didn't dry (or if it did, then it got cold and clammy again). Oh - there was a new Santi picture on twitter - off Instagram - he's in Boston filming the Disney film.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 05/02/2020 20:22

Evening wenches.

Hurrah for lunch out and no need to cook tonight Apricot!

Oooo at washing on the line Helen! Show off Grin

Wicked - how are you doing lovely?

I’m knackered and things are getting a tad stressful at work, but BestFriend has suggested a night out on Friday so that’s perked me up a bit.

LetUsPrey · 05/02/2020 21:27

I’m watching a film I remember from the 80s - Earth Girls Are Easy. I think it’s best described as “very much of its time” Grin

LetUsPrey · 06/02/2020 07:48

Morning wenches.

It’s a bit flipping frosty here. No robin on the tree. No other birds knocking about either. Probably still in bed, keeping warm.

FancyFancy · 06/02/2020 08:18

Morning. Parents' evening tonight. Must get moving as will need to leave work a bit earlier......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/02/2020 08:18

Morning. Frosty here too, though the ground isn't hard. Swans flew over this morning, but not much else. Obvs. snuggled up with LetUs's robin still.

ApricotCrush · 06/02/2020 18:51

Evening. Very frosty this morning but a lovely day.

I was on school run and was ridiculously early so went a walk round the lake and saw two swans, plus various other ducks, geese, seagulls. Bit pathetic compared to Helen's plethora of wildlife.

Does anyone else watch Silent Witness? Sad

Good luck with parents' evening Fancy. I'm sure you won't need it.

LetUsPrey · 06/02/2020 21:31

Evening wenches. The frost didn’t last long and we had a lovely day here too.

Hope parents’ evening went super well Fancy.

I love hearing about the wildlife around the wenches. We don’t really have much round here, although now I’m imagining much and varied wildlife hiding from me and then it frolicking about when I’m not looking.

Not watched Silent Witness for a very long time Apricot.

I should have an early night because a) I’m pooped and b) I’m out tomorrow night.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 06/02/2020 22:15

Evening. Frosty again here as soon as the sun went down.

Have spent the past hour dealing with SA meltdown and recovery. He had a friend coming for a sleepover, which is a big deal because we can never normally fit one in around school and antisocially early morning weekend clubs, and with a friend who has moved away so he hardly ever sees him. Said friend has gone down with unpleasant lurgy Sad Sad. Have managed to locate another potential sleepover participant at short notice, but was DS very upset and in tears. Thank goodness for Inconvenient Cat who was brought up to bed and worked his magic to calm DS down and all is well again. Just keep fingers crossed that new sleepover plans come off without a hitch...

Wildlife report for this evening was the barn owl in the garden and deer in the headlights Grin literally. If you want this level of wildlife then you have to live in the sticks at the back of beyond.

Hope that parents evening has gone well for Fancy and LetUs has a good night's sleep. Apricot - we haven't watched Silent Witness for years either - that won't stop us talking about it though so feel free to tell us about it!

SA?! FFS - That's DS

Hayloft time...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 07/02/2020 07:44

Morning wenches. Very frosty and icy here. We have high winds expected on Sunday lasting for a couple of day.

Oh poor MiniHelen Sad. Fingers crossed that sleepover now goes smoothly. Hurrah for InconvenientCat though! Hope MiniHelen’s friend is soon better.

Didn’t go to bed early because I’m daft.

Am intrigued to know what’s happened in Silent Witness now.

Off out tonight with BestFriend - hurrah!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/02/2020 07:54

Morning.

My magic frost blanket worked here - there's just the barest hint of frost on the ground, and the car and blanket are sodden with dew. Hmm and FFS at having to deal with the blanket.

Wildlife report - zero - apart from crows ad pigeons and suchlike.

Have a fab time tonight LetUs.

Apricot - we need a Silent Witness update Grin

ApricotCrush · 07/02/2020 16:12

Afternoon. Very frosty again, but another lovely day.

Aw poor DS Helen, hope the replacment is able to make it.

Silent Witness: Well, there are four main characters and two of them have left. Sad Sad Thomas (Richard Lintern), the forensic boss-man, died in a nerve gas attack and Clarissa, who is played by a brilliant disabled actress (Liz Carr) has decided in the programme and in real life apparently that she wants to tackle something different. That still leaves us with Nikki (Emilia Fox) and Jack (David Caves who has a very ripped body and likes to show it off ) but it won't be the same. Sad

Have a lovely evening LetUs.

LetUsPrey · 07/02/2020 18:36

Evening wenches.

Hope Silent Witness is still entertaining for you Apricot despite the loss of half the main cast.

I’d better go and get ready!

FancyFancy · 07/02/2020 21:10

Hurrah for Inconvenient Cat, pain in the arse they may be, but a snuggly cat is most soothing. Good luck with the sleepover!

Hope letus is having a fab night out.

I gave up on Silent Witness a while ago apricot, very much despite David Caves who is most easy on the eye. The Clarissa character is good too.

Parents' evening was ok - DD needs to buck up a bit, especially in one subject, do a little more in the second but is doing well in the third. She away for the weekend with friends atm, so I'm having a peaceful night in with the cats

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 07/02/2020 21:11

Evening all.

Have a lovely time LetUs - am looking forward to PissedLetUs later Grin

I read about Silent Witness today apricot - sounds like a fairly traumatic episode. Did anyone watch Cracker when they killed off Christopher Eccleston's character? Or Waking the Dead when they killed off Mel? Both of those left me utterly shocked.
