Or if not mist, then atmospheric lighting... Hmm

New thread offically open, complete with Wine Gin [ brew] etc. And Hayloft. Speaking of which...

Morning wenches.

I stupidly stayed up until gone 1am and now I’m absolutely knackered.

More schoolwork with DS2, although he’s already done some on his own.

FancyFancy · 29/04/2020 09:34

Morning
I have serious bin envy Envy

I really am bored aren't I? Grin
Still today is Wednesday, and as I worked Monday, that kind of makes it Thursday today - nearly Friday!!!!!!!!

Bath sounds tempting on a chilly day - I seem to have mislaid my towel though........

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2020 10:24

What's that Fancy - you need a towel?

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 29/04/2020 11:42

I do helen and that one looks perfect for my needs.........

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2020 13:16

Jonnie asked if you'd you like to borrow his patriotic beach towel as well?

Why yes I would Jonnie, thank you

ApricotCrush · 29/04/2020 16:59

Afternoon. Rain and sun here.

That's bad about the bins Fancy. I hope you're not paying for the garden one. We used to have a food waste 'caddy' but they stopped it, although I didn't use it because I have a waste disposal which DH drops stuff down. Hmm

My computer is playing up again and I can't remember what I did to sort it out last time. Confused

LetUsPrey · 29/04/2020 18:58

Evening wenches. Hayfever has definitely arrived. Super.

Raining most of the day here. If you’re using the beach towel Fancy, I’ll use the other one. I need to dry off.

Hope you get your computer sorted Apricot.

Urgh I’m tired (stupid late night) and snotty (see above) and I can’t stop eating junk. I need an early night.

FancyFancy · 29/04/2020 20:34

We can share letus - we're Team A after all Grin

I do pay for it apricot, the Council are offering extensions on the subscriptions though apparently.

I frequently have that issue with computers - but that's because I impatiently press lots of buttons on a myriad of screens and don't always spot what I did to correct the issue!

LetUsPrey · 29/04/2020 21:20

Spot on Fancy. We shall share nicely Grin

Right I am off to the hayloft before I a) eat anything else and b) disappear down another YouTube rabbit hole.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2020 22:24

Evening all. Dear god it has been a fraught one. DS cut his thumb trying to help with tea (heaven forbid he actually listen to what he's told about how to hold the veg that he's chopping Hmm ) so he's got a cartoon-style bandaged thumb. Then he was desperate for a new xbox game and pestered for it to be downloaded which always seems to cause chaos and general havoc. And DH has been massively grouchy and stressed. I'm bloody exhausted just listening to them being drama llamas at each other.

I think I shall also head for an early night.

Good luck with the computer Apricot.

FancyFancy · 29/04/2020 23:27

Early night sounds like a wise idea helen - just you & your Athos daydreams - he'd never be grouchy. Oh, wait.........Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 08:56

Grin Fancy - yes, I may have ended up in the wrong team if I was after sweetness and light Hmm

Nice and sunny today, quite windy too, so a good washing day atm.

Morning wenches.

just for a little while

Last day of freedom today so I’m making the most of it by still being in my pyjamas, farting about on the iPad, not getting in the shower, and not being productive at all.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 10:22

Ah bugger - washing. I was going to put some on. Mind you, it's clouded over now.

DS is doing my head in, but work's actually going ok (when I'm allowed to get on with it).

Morning
Much excitement at Chateau Fancy as my compost bin arrives tomorrow. Well I'm excited - I don't think anyone else gives a flying feathered fuck Grin

Very dull looking outside still - it's Friday!!! Kind of Grin Laters.......

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 16:29

I was going to ask if the compost bin had arrived yet, but that's not until tomorrow.... still, that's something to look forward to in our lives of vicarious excitement Grin

I had a walk, and now I'm back working with Stupid Cat on my lap. I have washing on the line and I'm wondering if I should get it in. (This is why Fancy getting a composter is more exciting than what's going on in my life just now.) Grin

FancyFancy · 30/04/2020 17:18

so true helen
A compost bin is the only hot & steamy thing in my life until lockdown is lifted......

LetUsPrey · 30/04/2020 17:27

I’ve done a wash, helped with French schoolwork - Monsieur Kevin was nowhere to be seen, I think he must have been demonstrating to Fancy exactly what hot and steamy means - and completely ignored my return to work by making no preparations whatsoever. So yes, the expected arrival of the compost bin is very exciting Grin

Caught up on Sewing Bee. Excellent.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 17:44

I've done washing, and... I got it in before it started peeing down with rain!!! Hurrah! Go me... etc. and I'm stalking contacting people via LinkedIn and tumblr for work, because they think they can avoid me by just ignoring my emails and web-form efforts. That'll teach them.

On the downside, it's peeing down and I haven't been out on my bike yet Hmm Confused I could just go out and take shampoo with me - multi-tasking with a combined exercise and hairwash effort! Because I'm worth it...

Afternoon, well evening, I don't know what time of day it is really. Confused

DH finally got round to making his broccoli, cauliflower, onion, potato and stilton soup, and very nice it was too. It took him an hour to make it, two minutes to eat it and an hour to clean up the kitchen afterwards. It did make four servings though, but I think I'll stick to tins. Hmm

Wildlife corner: Mr & Mrs Robin have been very busy whooshing across the garden all afternoon, and we did spot a tiny fledgling hopping around in the bushes. Don't know how many they have.

Yay for compost bin, hope MiniHelen's thumb is alright.

FancyFancy · 30/04/2020 18:52

If it's ok with you letus, as I have a long weekend, I'll just keep Kevin here.

Am impressed with your multitasking helen Grin

Squuuuuueeee for the robin chick apricot , probably the highlight of working at home is the good view of my bird feeder, have witnessed a blue tit fledgling being fed by a parent & wood pigeon v magpie spats this week.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 20:24

Evening. Did the bike ride without shampoo - wasn't raining that hard.

Awww at birdlife. Haven't seen any babies here yet.

I'm glad to hear that MrA's soup was nice, even if it did cause chaos Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 30/04/2020 22:10

Good that the soup was tasty after all that effort.

Awwww at little bird family! We get quite a lot of birds in our garden but it’s mostly DH muttering “I fucking hate starlings. I don’t put the food out for them”.

Kevin can help you with PE as well Fancy.

Impressed with the cycling Helen!

We’re watching Code 404 which is a new comedy on Sky. Lots of laugh out loud moments Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2020 22:31

We have Red Dwarf on. I need to head for the hayloft...
