New thread offically open, complete with Wine Gin [ brew] etc. And Hayloft. Speaking of which...

LOL at MrA's shoes - I once went to an interview in brightly coloured, very tasteless socks, as an invisible confidence boost. (They were hidden in my smart boots.) Except, I forgot to put my boots on and went into the interview in scruffy driving shoes with the socks on full display. I didn't realise until I got back to the car. (I didn't get the job.) Grin

Eek at the ambulances though Sad

Today I have mostly been planting a tree (and thus clearing the ground first - nettles a go-go), sorting out a punctured tyre, and taking DS swimming. Now I need to cook some tea. Oh - I tore a nail as well - really low down. Ouch Sad

Evening wenches.

Love an owl. No owls round here though. We sometimes have swans at one of the parks.

I shall now watch the rest of my recorded episode of PAOTY and giggle as I imagine Fancy and Helen causing mayhem Grin

Eeek at all the ambulances Apricot. May they stay away from your house! at MrApricot and his odd golf and not golf shoes.

How are you today Wicked?

Been helping DS2 with his music homework. Have introduced him to the Sex Pistols, the Bee Gees, the Clash, Queen, and David Bowie.

LetUsPrey · 30/01/2020 19:49

You’ll be needing that finger kissing better Helen. Make sure you let Athos know if it hurts anywhere else.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/01/2020 22:11

Good plan. I think he should kiss other parts better a well - even if they don't actually hurt. I need a control for the pain relief experiment after all, as well as to test the actual pain part.

And now, a baking haiku for you:
I have baked the cakes
That I said I would. They are,
Regrettably, foul.

I'm not sure what went wrong. Well, I think I know. And you never know - the baked versions might taste better than the mix. And they might taste better than they look. I live in hope...

I was going to say something about science for the pain thing and also that I’m sure your cakes are delicious and then I saw that picture. Can’t seem to be able to express myself in any way that makes sense

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/01/2020 22:43

The twitter link is a gif... Grin

On that note, hayloft. (and Athos - obvs)

New Picard episode tomorrow. On that note, hayloft for me also.

LetUsPrey · 31/01/2020 07:46

Morning wenches.

Friiiiiiddddaaaayyyyyyyy!!!!!!! Also known as PicardSanti day.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/01/2020 07:48

Morning! Wildlife report - swans'n'geese'n'stuff.
Houdini hen status: cheeky madam. She didn't even wait for food this morning,- shot out of the pen, into the run and over the fence to kick over the raspberry bed. Hmm She's now shut back in, waiting for eggs to be laid, before they're allowed out.

Have a good day all...

PS - new Santi sighting on Twitter - he's going Disney...

I reckon Houdini Hen is a ninja chicken, some sort of spy in disguise as a chicken.

DisneySanti - so many different varieties!

ApricotCrush · 31/01/2020 18:11

Evening.

Excellent parenting with the music homework LetUs.

Grin at tasteless socks, and eeek at broken nail Helen. I have a vision of HoudiniHen disappearing over the fence in a flutter of feathers.

Hope Fancy has recovered from DisneySanti wtf.

Also hope WW is alright.

I don't know what to get for my tea, can't be bothered to cook just for myself and I haven't got any ready meals in the freezer. Confused

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/01/2020 18:18

LOL at super-spy ninja chicken.

Hurrah for Fridays!!! (Though I have the 'go and out keep fit' thing tonight.) It's the weekend... Is a bit Windy though. Oooh, I got a parking ticket at work today. I took the 'wrong' car because mine was at the garage with its parking permit still in it. I notice when I was driving home that there was a stick stuck on the far side of windscreen. Then it blew off. I shall never know if I'm on notice for a parking ban if I do it again, or if it's a 'We don't know who you are but don't park here again' notice! (It depends if I ever gave them the number plate of that car as being one I might use for work.) DH looked rather horrified until I pointed out that it was purely an internal company-owned parking ticket. It's their fault anyway - I did try to phone them when I got in, but if you search for 'parking' in the internal phone book and the intranet, it doesn't give you anything useful. And then I had to go into a meeting and spent the rest of the day doing actual work stuff and forgot all about the parking permit thing.

How are you WW? Can we help with FAF and inappropriate humour? Or, heaven forbid, actual sympathy and advice?

Evening wenches.

Hope you got something tasty for dinner Apricot? I’ve been known to have a crisp sandwich in those circumstances. Mmmmmm.

That’s a pain re the parking permit thing Helen. Isn’t it fab when internal systems make life super simple? That’s reminded me that I need to put my new permit in my car.

I’ve got so much stuff recorded to watch so last night I watched a couple of episodes of Cadfael. I’m going to watch the latest Picard episode tomorrow morning I think when I’m alone.

FancyFancy · 31/01/2020 22:47

Evening
I am studiously ignoring DisneySanti sounds far too clean and focussing (tae) on topless Santi. Still.

Eggs apricot. I always have eggs in that situation. Far too lazy to cook properly for just me Grin Although a crisp sandwich is a great alternative letus. Salt & vinegar or cheesy wotsits are the best.

I be be on the pink fizz. Just a bit. Frankly I deserve it - has been a long week working to a deadline today and I was the last one at my desk tonight. Not helped by someone more senior commandeering my assistant for the job for some work of theirs over the past fortnight. Tonight they had to wait for me to finish my work so they could lock up after me

LetUsPrey · 31/01/2020 22:54

Have another glass Fancy. Have you seen the Giant Wotsits? Not sure how they’d fit on a sandwich but I’ll give it a try Grin

Chateau for me with SpaceSanti

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/01/2020 22:54

Where did my post just go? FFS... I think I refreshed the page before I'd posted. Idiot.

I am now fit broken and only capable of collapsing on Athos the sofa.

I also vote for eggs as a quick tea - I had an omelette for the same reason of 'can't be bothered to cook-ness'.

Wine for everywench, because we've earned it. And FAF.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 31/01/2020 23:01

If they won't fit on a sandwich I could try fitting them on a Santi & eating that?

FancyFancy · 31/01/2020 23:02

The giant wotsits I mean.

Although I'd use the same argument for pretty much anything frankly.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 31/01/2020 23:16

night all...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 01/02/2020 10:39

Morning wenches.

at Santi and Giant Wotsits - that is most definitely tae Grin

I slept through the whole night! Woohoooooo! Completely bonkers sci-fi dream including trying to escape armed bad guys who were trying to get some gold and money. I had some sort of long box that enabled me to fly. It was called Edgar. The bad guys shot at me and I had to land. McGee and Bishop from NCIS appeared to help me but I was ultimately saved by an elderly lady who was actually an alien. She had a third eye when her head extended at the side that shot lasers.

Watched Picard this morning. No Santi yet. Thankfully the programme is excellent so I don’t mind —much—

FancyFancy · 01/02/2020 10:50

Morning.
Excellent bonkers dream letus.
Have been enjoying morning snuggles with ScaredyCat but I have now been abandoned for a patch of sunlight.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/02/2020 11:41

Fantastic dream LetUs and LOL at 'Santi's Giant Wotsit' Grin

I went to bed with a headache and woke up with a headache (woe, tiny violin, etc) though the last dose of Asprin seems to have helped. And its sunny outside, so that's nice too (from inside out of the wind).
